great video,i have ordered a sea anemone model with a csi medium nib ,so looking forward to that ,having said that the boabab and the stardust look gorgeous so maybe a future purchase,if you are at the spring pen show in london 2023
I like the stardust best. Looks like the colors you see in photos of galaxies, especially the "pillars of creation" photos. Perfect timing with photos coming from the James Webb telescope.
This looks like a wonderful pen and making me consider getting it with a gold F nib over the Visconti HS Crystal Dream (notwithstanding the stunning lava resin). Most definitely, the Stardust color is my favorite!
I have the Leonardo Stardust and I like the new ink window in the barrel. I must say my favorite from the video is the sea anemone. Good luck reaching your goal and dreams.
Hmmm I wouldn’t say is not a “no go” laser - but I do appreciate that now is more legit having it stamped and not like all of the others “new comers nibs”
Ahhh, the sea salt Angel skin!! So pretty!! Overall a nice and concise look at these new models, and with nice camera work and light too! Thank you for making this video! Best wishes from the Netherlands!
I just had to watch this again, I am so in love with the Leonardo MZG pens. I really do love the new section and gold nibs with ebonite feeders! OH MY ❤. Emy, keep up the great Leonardo videos! I love them all
MZG 2.0 Angel Skin in EF would be amazing. Good luck, nearly at 300 likes! Thanks for showing off the flex capability of these pens, it was really helpful. Love that Leonardo are making the La Fenice nibs in-house.
Baobab and Stardust both catch my eye most! I got my first Leonardo (steel broad Blue Hawaii) and I’m in love. Definitely can see myself being a collector, so many gorgeous color ways to fall for!❤
I love all of my Leonardo pens, they have all been fantastic in every way, and now having their own nibs??? That Boabab MZG would fit perfectly in my collection as well lol. I love your videos and they never fail to make my day much brighter, and this one was no different!
Great video. My first take for favorite was the Stardust. After this video I'm liking the Sea Anemone. The explanation on the nibs was super. If you ever have time, I'd love to see a video showing all the nib changes goes to what Leonardo pens and what nibs are interchangeable on what pens. I have some 20 Leonardo pens and with this new edition, and I'm having a hard time keeping the options straight. Such a video would be a great help. Keep up the great work with these videos.
The most difficult thing about this collection will be choosing one fountain pen! My favourite should have been Stardust, but i already have 2 blue Leos, so maybe Baobab. But Angel Skin is more memorable! Ahhh, so difficult to choose :) great video, Emy, you've made us lust for them Leos once again!
Hey Alexandra, you have the same problem like I do, the cure I found for this on my side is just … closing my eyes and snatching one at random :)))) thank you for your feedback
Thanks for the video, Emy. I like the fact that the new MZG has an ink window. I like the star dust color the best from the new colors, although they are all nice looking!
That inkwindow was for quite some time in talks at Leonardo - now seeing it on such a pen and with a lower price for steel nibs - I couldn’t be more happy (although steel nibs don’t have ebonite feeders and no ink bottle - still love how they write and don’t mind the lack of ink bottle)
It all looks like a progress and makes me happy as Leonardo is such a creative and tasty designed brand. To me all 4 finishes are pretty, an Angel skin stands a bit out of the rest three, due to a gold nib use and rose gold trim. Other three are stunning on their own right, but if you asked me which one appeals to my heart most, it will be the Baobab. The choice of greens and yellows in this resin is spot on and really beautiful, brings calming, warming and chealing effect. Just my few pennies.
Hey Greg, it’s nice to see that they always push the limits and when we support this brand with out funds, they try to give back to us really nice pens 🙏🏻 I’m also team 💚
Thanks, Emy. Your videos are always informative and thoughtful. It is interesting to see how Leonardo is evolving as a company. All of these pens are lovely with color choices that have a broad appeal. See you next time!
I'm a big fan of Leonardo's spaghetti resin too! Unfortunately for my pen budget, they always seem to come in colorways that call to me (i.e. the Prugna, that Grande 2.0 Sea Anemone)...
Thank you for another very comprehensive and informative video review! Leonardo is a fascinating pen manufacturer. Years ago, I collected a number of Delta pens (the ancestor of Leonardo) but I did not imagine the Delta team would evolve into this wonderfully inventive company. In early 2016, I was on business in Rome and visited Stilograf Corsani where I found an intriguing Leonardo Officina 'Abyss', a marbled blue pen which Stefano Corsani recommended. It was a new line of Italian pens. Well, that started a new collection line and I now have 8 Leonardos which rotate in my usage constantly. This new Grande 2.0 looks stunning and the addition of the ink window makes a huge difference in terms of practicality. As for my choice between the 4 new Grandes 2.0, that is a difficult question. I already have the Prugna which is close to the Anemone, and I also have the Hawai which is getting close to the Baobab. So I think my preference is for the Stardust which has gorgeous swirls of colours.
Thank you for the feedback. - sorry for this late answer on the comment :D To be honest ... the first time I heard about Leonardo was also with Stefano from Rome, and back then I've meet Salva, we where both shy and very funny stories and memories I have from back then, today it looks like they did exactly what they said. Stardust is a bit off from the spaghetti resins to captivate a lot of audience
That Sea Anemone is absolutely stunning! I really enjoy the personal touch you add to each video, and it makes your business seem more like a labor of love than a corprorate order. Damnit Emy, you've done it again. Now I want another Leo!
That one looked like the underdog in the official pics 💜 but when they came - it was awesome. We are tailored to be personal with our pens but most important with anyone that looks up to Pen Venture 💜
A nice update of a great model. Thanks, Emy. I've heard different stories of the new nib - a) old (Jowo) nib with new stamping, b) new Leonardo-designed nib, made by Jowo, c) new Leonardo-designed and manufactured nib. I think you're saying here that c) is right. Is that correct? And - wow- so hard to pick a favorite - they all have such a unique look, but somehow, the Sea Anemone speaks a bit louder to me right now. We'll see in the future...;) Thanks for the fine work again! :)
Hey there Scot 🙌🏻😁 I can confirm is a solid C for 14k gold - although the steel nibs look the same like the simple jowo ones, they don’t feel like those - can I say that the steel nibs are completely different ? Nope - but it’s a very nice fresh start that I like where it’s going. Thank you for your feedback
Hey John, yes - we recently started to transition in offering these new nibs, we dont have all nib colors and nib sizes but anyway if the client wants one - it can order the normal one untill we have the products photographed and he can mention in the order notes ad we will put the new nibs for him
These updates are amazing. I'm hoping to try one at some point. I just got my first MZG and I'm definitely eyeing another already. How to choose between the Angel Skin and the Baobob? I love the green but I am weak for rose gold! I am leaning towards the Angel Skin as my favorite.
Glad you like them! Angel skin is the cherry on top .... the others are really nice but they kind of made the angel skin to be apart from the others , both in color and in trim :D
Just fantastic :) So the 14k "La Fenice" nibs are fully in-house made? Salvatore previously said (see Appelboom Bites 5) that the steel nibs are manufactured by Jowo with a new mould and stamp. Are the gold and steel nibs interchangeable - I mean same nib sections.
Hey Jonathan - if I remember correctly, the only process outsourced was the welding of the nib tipping - but that was more than a month ago and they stated that the machine for this would be on the way 🤝 steel nibs I know that they are jowo, but they behave differently than the old jowo ones, don’t know how and why. These new stamping nibs can be interchanged with the old ones (both steel and gold) , if you ask if a gold nib pen with la Fenice nib can have a steel nib la Fenice - not possible and the other way around also not possible
hi Emy ! I always enjoy your fountain pen reviews !! and this beautiful pen made me fascinated . I have a question about flexible nib... because I don't have any flexible nib in my collection . and this pen is quite interesting to see how it writes! so could you recommend me between Scribo or this gorgeous la Fenice nib , which one is better to use ? or should I get all 2 pens although ?haha
Great review @Emy. I appreciate the comparison of new to old. With regards to the new nibs, what are your thoughts on selecting a new nib size when you know what nib size you like in their Jowo nibs? For example, for pens I buy from you, I like EF Jowo with your tuning, but for pens direct from Leonardo, I like F Jowo. Would I need to consider going up or down in the new nibs to get a similar line thickness with the new in-house nibs? As far as my favorite MZG 2.0, I would say it’s the Baobab. Take care my friend and “write on”!
Hey there Slayton :D, thank you much for your feedback :D I tried to make a video so any Leonardo owner can decide what is new and what can 2.0 bring different to its collection. Hmmm for sure it would be for me a M or B in the new nibs - corresponding to a F - M in the JOWO saga :D I would say that going up one size isnt a bad idea just to have a different flavour since they write finer to the size these new nibs :D
@@pen.venture Hey Emy! :-) Your video was very helpful in showing the upgrades and differences one can expect in the new MZG 2.0. Thanks for putting it together. So are you saying that the new Leo M is roughly equivalent to the Jowo F? I’m just a smaller writer so for everyday writing or journaling, my writing style prefers the Jowo F on my Leonardos.
Really helpful video. I am undecided between Stardust and Anemone at the moment. These do not appear to be available in the UK? Also, as a newbie to fountain pens should I be looking at the gold or steel nib? I am currently trying to inprove my handwriting and am putting a small collection of pens together for journaling purposes. I have average size handwriting and will be writing cursive. Thank You!
Thank you - they are available at Pen Venture with world wide delivery. Please start with a steel nib that I would personally take care of checking it prior to delivery. Go for a F nib and see where you are after you get some time and use with it
I think we can get it there 😆 it’s a win win - thank you for the feedback Bill - just processed your nuda order , it’s ok’ing in a matter of a few days
@@pen.venture thanks. i have one of the stilo et stille white pura and ink got under the inner reservoir liner and will forever be blueish tinged. if i had known it had an internal sleeve i wouldn't have inked it. this nuda will be so much nicer. i'm quite excited for this addition.
Lets get this to 300 Likes :D
I love the stardust.
its still one of our best sellers :D from 2.0 series
Angel Skin would be my favorite!
Thanks for the great video!
Good choice! Thank you for your feedback
My favorite : baobab ! Thank you so much!
My pleasure 😊
Thanks much for the very informative video. Now I want one of these. The baobab is truly gorgeous.
Thanks for watching! The baobab is stunning :D
I really love the colors on the Sea Anemone!
one more vote for Sea Anemone :D
Baobab is my favorite color. Really appealing. I love the new design of the nib.
I think so too! Now just they made the Baobab as Mosaico resin
Incredible video. I love the Sea Anemone!
Glad you enjoyed it - thank you so much :D
Stardust is my favorite color! 🎉Excellent video!!
Hey Adam 💙 blue it is
@@pen.venture does this mean I won the giveaway??
great video,i have ordered a sea anemone model with a csi medium nib ,so looking forward to that ,having said that the boabab and the stardust look gorgeous so maybe a future purchase,if you are at the spring pen show in london 2023
Hey there Dewi - will be there in 2023 if all goes to plan ❤️🤞🏻 thank you for your feedback and stay tuned
I think Ilike the green the best, the baobab. But they are all beautiful. Nice video Emy thank you!
Thank you so much for your attention and for your feedback :D
Oh my favorite one of these is the angel skin, but for a steel nib option I love the baobab. Thanks Emy these are amazing! On to 300 ….😊
You are so welcome! - we are close to 300 :D
Very helpful video. I like the Angel skin
Glad it was helpful! Thank you :D
299th like! I like the Sea Anemone!
we're close :D
I really like what Leonardo has been doing. I love the green resin!
The green resin is a sand resin just with different colors :D
The Angel Skin is sweet! ❤
the darn thing is cute :D
I like the stardust best. Looks like the colors you see in photos of galaxies, especially the "pillars of creation" photos. Perfect timing with photos coming from the James Webb telescope.
:D hehe :D the new telescope is dope - I cant wait to see what more of the galaxy we can observe :D Thank you on the feedback with the pen
Himalayan Sea Salt would have been the perfect name for Angel Skin!
exactly what I was thinking :D
🤭
The Baobab looks very nice. Love the subdued colors.
Thank you! Cheers! That's the one I like too
Outstanding review Thank You they are all beautiful Favorite is Pink Salt
Thanks for watching! :D I like the green one :D
This looks like a wonderful pen and making me consider getting it with a gold F nib over the Visconti HS Crystal Dream (notwithstanding the stunning lava resin). Most definitely, the Stardust color is my favorite!
Good choice! It is less expensive and just as nice but in a different way :D
The Angel Skin is a work of art, I am impressed.
Hey there Patricia :D indeed it is - is like pink salt crystals :D
I still love the old nib, simple and elegance. Off course new nib looks good too.
The both look good ... I just got around to understand much better the older nib :D now I need to get and see how are these new ones coming
I have the Leonardo Stardust and I like the new ink window in the barrel. I must say my favorite from the video is the sea anemone. Good luck reaching your goal and dreams.
Thank you Juan - looking forward to first of all enjoy the journey till then anyway 🤝🙌🏻
Finally a stamped nib. Laser engraving is a no go for me.
Hmmm I wouldn’t say is not a “no go” laser - but I do appreciate that now is more legit having it stamped and not like all of the others “new comers nibs”

Sea Anemone is my absolute favorite!!
Really nice one - we've just got a notice that for now they are sold out (I think they'll make more but we dont know when)
Wow o_0... They flew!!

My favourite is by far the Stardust version😁
Good choice! By what I seen in this section - Stardust is by far the most popular option :D
Baobab and Stardust both catch my eye most! I got my first Leonardo (steel broad Blue Hawaii) and I’m in love. Definitely can see myself being a collector, so many gorgeous color ways to fall for!❤
Totally agree! The new Stardust batch of resing is a bit different but overall I think its a good pen :D
Great channel and post and a great update to an already great pen. My nod would be the Baobab, that green is a great one. Be safe and be well!
Hey there Rob - on this one in with you - 💚 Baobab all the way

Thank you so much for featuring the 2.0 LMG, I wish I could have one. The STARDUST is my choice of color because it is a standout color. Great review!
Thank you for the feedback 🙌🏻😁
The 2.0 seems like a very worthwhile update. My favorite is the Stardust. Great video. Keep up the great work.
It really is! Thank you Richard :D Stardust it is
Hi there, my absolut favourite is the color stardust ...
By the looks of it - stardust is the most popular of them 😁
The Star Dust is stunning and as you said, the clear blue adds a little something extra.
Stardust it is - that semi transparent blue is really making an impression
Loving the 2.0 and a fine presentation by you as always. As for my favourite, I would go with the Baobab 🤞
This made my day 🤞🏻🤝😁 love seeing that I can offer my best to any viewer of mine
I really like the Baobab, it’s beautiful ❣️
Baobab - the green beauty
The in house nibs are silky smooth .............very impressive
They are indeed quite smooth :D
Sea Anemone for me - such a unique colour.
Uhhhh the purple one is very beautiful - I've got one with more purple stripes and im constantly glancing it :D
I’m gonna have to have a stardust.
:D now im thinking that I may need to order some more for the current inventory - looking how many Stardust comments we've got :D

Thanks for watching Alic! :D I love making content like this
Thanks for the video, Emy. I like the fact that the new MZG has an ink window. I like the star dust color the best from the new colors, although they are all nice looking!

Leonardo - MZG 2.0 Sea Anemone
Anemone seem to be side by side Stardust in the number of 2.0 pens sold
My favourite is the Baobab. Awesome
Indeed :D same here
The stardust looks cool
the semi transparent blue.... awesome
Finally… Yes
I'm a big fan of Leonardo's spaghetti resin too! Unfortunately for my pen budget, they always seem to come in colorways that call to me (i.e. the Prugna, that Grande 2.0 Sea Anemone)...
They just came up today with a spaghetti mosaico version for Baobab and Sea Anemone :D
La Fenice like the Opera House in Venice!
Sweet melody :D
Man that green baobab it’s amazing. Reminded me of the book “the little Prince” by AS Exupery, anybody else?
I have to admit - I didnt finished reading it :D
I'm new to fountain pen. This video is really helpful for me ❤❤
I'm so glad! Thank you

wow so many like Stardust
Gorgeous pens. Love all of it but if I had to choose the stardust the one.
:D its been amazing to see that Stardust is actually the one that is so popular
All of them look so amazing Emy!! All of them are unique in their own way!! I would choose Baobab as the one above the rest!!!
hmmmm I think im going to get ready a FP collection update video for my 2.0 :D

Really helpful video. I am undecided between Stardust and Anemone at the moment. These do not appear to be available in the UK?
Also, as a newbie to fountain pens should I be looking at the gold or steel nib? I am currently trying to inprove my handwriting and am putting a small collection of pens together for journaling purposes. I have average size handwriting and will be writing cursive.
Thank You!
Thank you - they are available at Pen Venture with world wide delivery. Please start with a steel nib that I would personally take care of checking it prior to delivery. Go for a F nib and see where you are after you get some time and use with it
Like others i'd have to go with the Star Dust finish 😃
Stardust is like a really fresh and jumpy color :D
16.8mm grip? I have a new grail now
chunky and very balanced :D im going to spoil myself also with one :D
well, if you get to 300 and i get lucky then the blue pen would be an excellent choice.
