    The secret to growing a beard with Minox is to be a responder to it. Some men are, some men aren't. If you aren't, all you get is white peach fuzz thin hairs. If you are, the peach fuzz grows into thicker terminal hairs as the follicle responds to it. If you respond and keep up the application through a complete shedding cycle, you get a permanent beard. It's not really a secret, just not commonly known.

    Aye I’m Filipino too n my uncles on my moms side got beards, I already have some thin hairs on my cheek n face area aside from moustache and chin hair. You think if I used this I could get a full beard like yours ? Also how long do you recommend using it for the hairs to become permanent ?

      Yes, I think it’s likely to work because beard growth is in your relatives’ genetics, but I can’t guarantee 100% that it will. Use it for as long as you need to. For some it takes 2 months , for others it takes 6 months +

    • @JeremyDustinOrbacedo
      @JeremyDustinOrbacedo  Год назад

      Yesss you can! I have acne prone skin & didn’t notice a difference in breakouts . When you’re on the minoxidil treatment, you may have to stop using acne medications like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, curlogy, etc; they made my skin REALLY irritated when using together with minoxidil .. & it didn’t get better until I stopped using those acne washes, & just washed & moisturized with a gentle cleanser & lotion (Cerave hydrating facial cleanser & Cerave SPF 30 moisturizing lotion). This stuff worked great by itself without using acne medications anyways 👍

    Hi,
    Im confused about using it. Some says it lasts till you apply the minoxidil and hair falls down to original after you stopped using it,they are not permanent?
    And for how long one should take minoxidil and how to stop taking it?

    • @JeremyDustinOrbacedo
      @JeremyDustinOrbacedo  2 года назад +3

      I haven't lost any of the beard growth that grew after using minoxidil and it's been 2 years since I stopped using it. It still grows fast and I trim it once a week.
      The time one should take minoxidil varies from person to person. For me, it took 2 months to gain a full beard, others say it takes 6 months.
      Hope this helps!

    Did you experience irritation ? After one of using my face is really itchy meron na sanang gains konti kasi makita na talaga sya. Any tipa for me?

    • @JeremyDustinOrbacedo
      @JeremyDustinOrbacedo  7 месяцев назад

      Hey Jake, yeah I experienced irritation too. Tips are to use a gentle face wash and use a face moisturizer before applying the minoxidil. The face wash shouldn't have other harsh products like acne medications (benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid), & don't overwash too much with exfoiliants (if you are), as all of these can irritate your skin, especially when using them with minoxidil. As for the moisturizer, it helps reduce irritation from dryness. If there is still too much irritation, you could discontinue use until the irritation goes away, and restart the minoxidil treatment until you're satisfied with your beard gains. When restarting the treatment it may be less irritating as your skin may adjust to the product. Hope this helps!

    Does using minoxidil for hair cause hair fall at scalp?

    • @JeremyDustinOrbacedo
      @JeremyDustinOrbacedo  2 года назад +1

      Hey Sreeventh, good question! AT FIRST, It did cause more than a few hairs to fall off, but not a whole lot of them, and then hairs stopped breaking off after continued use. This happened every time I would start the treatment again after I stopped using it. I'm currently using it for the third time to fill in some areas of my beard and my hairline, and the hair loss has stopped shortly after use.
      The good thing I noticed was that the hairs weren't falling out from the roots, they were hairs with no white roots falling out, so I knew my hair would grow back. Since the hairs just broke off, and not pulled out by the roots, I don't think it damages the hair follicles where the roots grow. I just figured weak hairs are breaking off and will regrow.
      What helped my hair out A LOT was keeping it strong and healthy by using a good conditioner in the shower every day, and using a leave-in conditioner during the day.

      @@joyboy8993 Hey Joyboy, sorry for such a late reply. Yes unfortunately it's possible for your hairline gains to fall off, even if the hairs are terminal. Minoxidil promotes hair growth, but if hair follicles are damaged, the gains aren't permanent

    • @JeremyDustinOrbacedo
      @JeremyDustinOrbacedo  9 месяцев назад

      Aw dang. It may take upwards of up to 6 months to see results, or it may not even work at all based on other videos I’ve seen. If you do decide to keep trying here are a few questions that may help :
      - Are you using the liquid or foam version?
      - Are you applying twice a day ( morning and night after washing your face)
      - Are you leaving the minoxidil on your skin for at least 4 hours.
      I’ve heard better results from the liquid version, applying twice a day to increase the stimuli to the vellus hairs (baby hairs) so that they turn into terminal hairs (adult hairs), and leaving the minoxidil applied for at least 4 hours before washing it off so that it’s sufficiently absorbed by the skin .
      Hope this helps! @akgamerx6860

      @@JeremyDustinOrbacedo if i use twice i face side effects

    • @JeremyDustinOrbacedo
      @JeremyDustinOrbacedo  9 месяцев назад

      @@akgamerx6860 Maybe it’s possible to reduce the side effects enough to see possible beard gains (if it’s worth it enough for you). For example you may want to try leaning off of minoxidil completely until the side effects go away, and try restarting the process once a day, or every other day and slowly progressing to two times a day and/or using a lesser amount (0.5 mL) and slowly progressing to a larger amount (1.0 mL) to see if your skin could adjust to side effects. If the side effects ever get too severe, wash it off & re-moisturize. I also had side effects. Here are a few factors to consider that may help you reduce your side effects :
      Think about other skin care products you use that may trigger side effects. I also experienced irritation of skin & inflammation on my upper lip , and I noticed that it was because I was using minoxidil after washing my face with benzoyl peroxide and applying retinol in my skin care routine, which was too much for my skin to handle, triggering inflammation. I completely stopped minoxidil, benzoyl peroxide and retinol, and just used a gentle cleanser and moisturizer until the irritation cleared up. When I went back to the minoxidil treatment I stopped using benzoyl peroxide and retinol, and didn’t experience irritation/inflammation while using minoxidil. If I did experience side effects, it wasn’t as severe as before and I would discontinue use and try again when it cleared up.
      Also if you do decide to keep trying minoxidil, reduce sun exposure, because it may make your skin sensitive to sunlight .
      The side effects suck, but you may decide to keep trying if the reward of making beard gains is enough for you to keep trying, even if there’s a possibility that it may not work out. Good luck !! Hope it works out.
