  • This video shows the steps needed to install the WISECO Fuel Commander Controller for the Fuel Injection system on my WR250R. This install can be difficult if you don't know what you are doing. But hopefully the video helps you figure out the steps needed to install this thing. If your not comfortable have a Mechanic install for you. I definitely felt a snappier feel along with my No Toil Air Filter Mod. I bought this in hopes to have the capabilities to properly fuel my bike during stock and new exhaust mods. Well When I get it anyhow. SO if you liked the video please check out all my current and future videos on my channel. Cheers.

      Nice. You should notice a difference for sure. Have you deleted the ais and exup? I can’t remember if you have done the exhaust?

      Nm I just saw on my exhaust you were waiting on the emulator for the exup delete hehe

      Bigair01 ya, ordered the exup eliminator and it will be here in a week or 2...then I’ll put on my PowerCore 4 and mega bomb header ! then onto the cosmetic mods like the taillight 👍🏻

      Nice. I did a vid on how to program it as well. You shouldn’t have to tweak it at all but when you have ais and open exhaust you may have to tweak some of your settings. I’m pretty sure I have the settings I have on my vid. I noticed once I put exhaust on had to to change the amount of full throttle and I think the setting when acceleration is engaged.

    I would think that supplying more fuel to the engine is some what pointless if it's still being starved for air. New bikes run ultra lean to pass emissions. I'm curious though to the outcome as I'm commenting at the start of it. My buddy has the wr250x. Cheers!

      After installing this before I did the exhaust I noticed the most power improvement even more then the exhaust upgrade I did later. I would totally recommend this mod if someone didn’t want to spend the 800 on the full exhaust. It came with no need make adjustments. When I did the exhaust I made a minor adjustment to only one setting. Cheers

    Do these kinds of mods void warranties on bikes like cars? What kind of warranty do they have new?

    • @bigair0176
      @bigair0176  5 лет назад

      Devin Stout I would think if you don’t have a mechanic install them then yea it would void any type of warranty. But I don’t think they come with much a warranty off the shelf. You could check the local dealer to be sure tho

    Hello
    I going to buy a Yamaha WR250X, I don't want to change the exhaust but what the best mods to get the most out of it?
    I think to get a power commander 5, K&N airfilter, mod the airflap on the airbox and remove the AIS.
    Do you think that is a good setup or you have a better advice?
    Thanks from Michael

    • @bigair0176
      @bigair0176  6 лет назад +1

      Yes all of the above I noticed the most hp and peppiness gain. The exhaust was just a little gain but much more expensive. It was in end mostly the sound with exhaust. Only thing I would recommend different with your plans would be to go with a foam filter. Otherwise ya fuel commander ais delete air filter and air box mod worth the effort and money for sure. Hope ya enjoy the bike. It’s a fun light machine for sure. Cheers

      Bigair01
      I think I am going to put the Power commander 5 on it and when all mods are in place to put it on to a dyno and set it in. So you think the foam filter is much better than the K&N filter? If you compare all the mods you did to it before you put a exhaust on it, does it was a big difference to the throttle response and how the bike drive? Thanks

    • @bigair0176
      @bigair0176  6 лет назад

      Yes The Power Commander I believe was the best improvement in over all. I haven't heard anything good about the K&N filter. The foam filter I think would do a better job blocking the dust and dirt entering the motor. I used a No Toil Air filter and its holding up pretty good. No complaints.

    I’m trying to figure out which programer to go with. Why did you go with the wiseco and not fmf. Altitude ,ejk. or any other brands? Any specific reason?
    Thanks👍

    • @bigair0176
      @bigair0176  3 года назад +2

      Honestly all of the controllers you mentioned are basically the same I believe. I never heard of altitude when I bought mine. I went with wiseco cause it was easier to find at the time and the cheaper option I believe if memory serves me correctly. I have had zero issues with the controller. Works great and it’s a decent bolt on to improve the power curve. Easy to set up. You can just plug and play and you will see the difference immediately. In my program vid I have settings I got from thumpertalk to help tweak it a little more.

    I live in Edmonton and I’m looking to buy a wr250r in the spring. Would you recommend getting a larger front sprocket for better fuel mileage on the highway?

    • @bigair0176
      @bigair0176  2 года назад

      I caution you on replacing the front sprocket. I have heard of several stories of people putting an aftermarket front sprocket on and stripping the splines. This is something you have to watch to make sure the nut isn’t slipping and backing off. But I mean my bike right now is the stock 13 with 47 rear and I can still do 100kmh no problem. Just revs a bit higher is all. Just depends on how long of highway commute you will be doing.

    I noticed some Wiseco FMC141, you can buy with 4 wires and some with 10 wires. What’s the difference ? I am looking for wr250r 2018.

    • @bigair0176
      @bigair0176  5 лет назад

      Michal I am not to sure. But my guess is you can only buy the one WISECO controller for the WR250R. If you are going off the photos and counting the wires then I would say that the picture may be for a different bike. But if there is more wires for the controller it will be for more options for programming the fuel delivery. Mine has only 4 wires. It had two plugs that basically was just plug and play. WISECO support may be able to answer your question better. But I would say you can only buy the one model for the WR250R. Hope that helps. Cheers

      Hey dude. I have a vid on my channel on how to program your fuel controller. The settings in that video is what I have run for 3 years basically. It has worked flawlessly. Just remember the settings I have on my bike are all at sea level. So it may be different depending your elevation. But if you close to sea level you should like the settings I have. So if you get the wiseco commander rhen you dont need the 12oclcock exup servo right?

    • @bigair0176
      @bigair0176  5 лет назад +1

      Effulgent Exterminating the fuel commander helps with the lean fuel that the stock settings come with. The fuel commander will help with the amount of fuel and hp output. The exup emulator from 12 ocklock labs plugs into a plug that is connected to stock exhaust. The exup system is for emissions. If you don’t plug the exup emulator in it will give a an engine light code.
