I love the bass put into the voice once the chanting started. Shows how powerful and inevitable the evil in this movie has become compared the last one.

I felt SO BAD for Ellie! She was a good mom who did her best to support her kids and to have the Kandarian Demon violently attack her was tough to watch
And got the worst luck out of the 4 people releasing it because the first man readed it outloud The 2nd heard it on a reproductor The third readed it out loud too and these were easy ways to stop it 😭
The most unrealistic part is not burning or yeeting it into a volcano to be out of human reach upon finding it. When has finding a demonic looking book through questionable circumstances ever led to anything good? Think about how many times it's gone bad. "It's just a book, no harm ever came from reading a book." you're right because I'd burn that book in a heartbeat!

I started getting nervous when the incantation began, cause that's when you know it's about to really hit the fan. Saw this in theaters and hearing it then, was scarier. But, this still will creep you out. Hopefully, Bruce appears in the future.

I love how Danny changes his mind and tries to turn off the turn table but the evil has already taken control of the situation kinda unfair but shows how evil doesn't play by the rules and isn't very forgiving. And the build up in suspense and distortion in the audio. It really felt like we the audience are listening to something wicked, something we really shouldnt be listening to. Chefs kiss, bravo, well done! Cant wait to get this movie on DVD

Went to the cinema to see this and believe me the scene hits you totally different to watching it on here. The incantation and the demonic voice... Absolute superb. Sheer goosebumps ! Not to mention the cold shiver running down your spine 👌 🧟♀️

My own headcannon for this recording. The Priest got possessed and was in the process of expelling the demonic force. Before he succeeded, the demon made this recording as a contingency plan so that the chaos it created can resume.
Amazing sound design. I saw this in Dolby Digital and this part just stuck with me all night after the movie. Apparently they used a frequency that is not technically audible to human ears, but it elicits feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. So cool

Sound engineer should get a nod for an Oscar. I know the academy doesn’t recognize horror genre, but damn, it was the best sound design and mixing I’ve ever heard in a theater. Easily the best and scariest part of the film for me too. I got chills and even felt sick to my stomach.
They should make a prequel now where they have to show what happened to father marcus and their fellow members of church and how eventually he put that book in the safe closet.

In the Ash Vs Evil Dead show they summon different kind of demons from the book. I recommend it, it follows the more unserious note of the second and third movie.

I remember seeing Evil Dead 2013 roughly 1 week after seeing Jurassic Park in 3D ten years ago. I was terrified as the film progressed through the gory, graphic scenes. And now for this film, I'm ready to be terrified again! And I can't wait!
Dude that long hallways shot with the music swelling as the camera zooms out from the closing elevator just fills me with so much dread. It feels like you’re officially strapped into a roller coaster you’re not ready for and you’re realizing it’s too late now to turn back.
The records say that the Book of the Dead in this movie is one of the three volumes of the Naturom Demonto and I think I've figured out what the other volumes are. The other two volumes are from the original 1981 movie and the 2013 remake. The books in Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness don't count as being parts of the volumes as they were known as the Necronomicon Ex Mortis.

The film really relates with our recent lockdown...we are all stranded in a room or house, with our family...and no one to make physical contact...it adds to the evil of the theme...no wonder why they chose to be in a room, rather than the past Evil Deads, that was set on a cabin on a deep forest...I want another Evil Dead movie but based on the whereabouts of the people/priest in the recording...i wonder what really took place on the nght of the translation of the passages...no Evil Dead movie had done that, it was just all from a lefted recording...The Evil Dead 2 has a scene where Prof. Nobie had an actual translation but he only foretold the events on a recording where his wife Henrieta was buried in the cellar...i can imagine the horror took placed wiith this priest.. i bet it will a nice add for the franchise...because the priest told many things about how his fellows turn into deadites...is anyone curious about that???

This scene seriously sets the mood for the entire movie. It made me want to cover my ears. It truly feels like you are listening to something you shouldn't be. I suddenly felt chills and paranoia. It was an amazing experience in the theatre. 🥰🥹
