Ethiopian food is mainly supported by Ethiopian diaspora because Ethiopians find it hard to eat mcdonald's or like everyday..They don't leave their people high and dry. You might be surprised but Ethiopian restaurants are more than just a restaurants, they open Ethiopian restaurants to let the new comers, and old diaspora to socialize and help one another and meet other Ethiopians. Mostly, these restaurants serve more than food, that's the thing I love about Ethiopians. The difference between Asians, Europeans is Africans are selfless the rest are selfish and greedy. They do all for the money. Ethiopians and Arabs mostly do it for socializing. That's their common ground characters Ethiopians share with Arabs..

I wanna try it so bad , I have a feeling I would love it. I had injera with just a meat stew it was good, but so disapointed it was not what I was loooking for.kitfo and all other stuff on the injera is the bomb.
I feel so much for martha. eldest, first born daughter with tons of responsibility and acting as a second mother to her younger siblings, yet she still has so much thankfulness and joy. i can just imagine the love absorbed by all who eat her food.
Ethiopian Food is so so delicious! In Geneva Switzerland there were 2 restaurants 10 years ago, I made it a point to go for Zigni plated on injeera with little mounds of lentils spinach and meat in sauce about once a month for a while there. Seriously yummy, the people friendly and utterly delicious coffee. For my vegetarian friends there was always a good selection also. Highly recommend this cuisine.
Food looks amazing and they seem like such hardworking people passionate to share their food. I do wish the guy would let the lady speak for herself though. Sheldon was trying by asking her directly several times and the guy would answer for her or bring back the conversation to him. She was the first, let her speak, mate. Still, kudos for the place and the market. I hope you continue to have success and you both get better.
Arguably this is the best best food on the planet! I'm vegetarian and love their veggie cuisines as I never have felt healthier in my life since I started eating this food!
To all the guys who have replied, :) I am literally in the desert, my work requires of me to travel across the Middle East, and I haven’t come across any Ethiopian restaurants till date. Have heard that a couple of them have started at places, so will have to schedule accordingly. Cheers. 😄
Poof LeOOF, I was thinking. Is it possible to make African food by watching RUclips videos and trying to make it as close to authentic? If its possible that way, I would definitely give it a try.
Hmm. The only time I had *_kitfo,_* it was raw mince. This version looks quite tasty indeed. Excellent episode. Sheldon is really exceptional interacting with all the chefs and staff. 👍
It actually seems raw here as well, maybe they made a mistake and said it was cooked but as someone who cooks i can almost guarantee that it's raw, maybe heated through yes but not cooked.
I am surprised to see this. Top on my feed and from preview pic I knew where it was. I frequently visit this restaurant, great food, small but cozy environment. Very lovely people your will not regrate it. They also have a breakfast menu that is worth checking out. Congrats for the recognition well deserved, and thank you for reviewing this, five star.
The accent is psychologically soothing, I had a friend with the same, and me and her got on so well as immigrant brown kids. Love this series. Information about food and making it while doing what you love to do is so important to share imho and this is across all mediums and channels. Love Sheldon. Same with Vanessa at Tasting Our Roots over on Tasty That first fish dish was such a trip I can see parallels in the flavour profiles we have in the PI. Time to dive into some recipes
I've had a lot of Ethiopian food and well.... I wish I could say that I liked it. It's sort of one texture (everything is very soft). In fact, the injera has the same texture of everything else.
as an Ethiopian, born and raised i can say it is a type of bread a sour dough flat bread named injera, just lke how indian naan or chapati can be called bread, even kocho is a type of bread. yall just hatin
one of the Best Ethiopian restaurant in seattle area. unlike most Ethiopian restaurant in the surrounding area their food is always freshly prepared and you can count on their consistence. I go at least once or twice a month and it's half an hour drive away from my house. It's worth the drive. Not to mention best customer service
Guys where ever you are do not miss a chance to have Ethiopian food! The Tef (wheat that makes the Injera) is a superfood and they also have a great variety of vegetarian dishes. Spiciness is something you have to inquire ahead as it can get from comfortable mild to razor sharp hot! The tanginess from the Injera with the full flavoured aromatic sauces are a bombastic combination and the whole Goursha story can get pretty messy and funny!! 👍
Damn this looks so good. I have a friend from Eritrea and he told me about Injera and I wanna try it so badly! I feel it would be similar to Dosa right?
Just To Add You can also Eat Gluten Free, vegetarian, Beautiful Atomospher and A Place where the locals Dine, Historic Area, Greeted with Beautiful Smiles💝
New Yorker here. We have lots of Ethiopian food joints here in the city. Their food is the best. Support these restaurants people!

I just had kitfo today for lunch. It’s the food of the gods. That’s how incredible it is.
The brother and sister duo are so warm and kind. It melts my heart. A BIG HUG TO YOU BOTH.
Ethiopian Food is one of the best cuisine in the world. You have to experience it once in your life time.

In the video it definitely looks raw/very rare
Hi, I'm Ethiopian Canadian, it is usually served raw and sometimes it can be lightly cooked, which is referred to as "leb leb." :)
Ethiopian are such humble cool people and their food is delicious.

Same. I really wanted to like it
The stews have the same texture as the bread... that doesn’t seem right. What exactly do u mean by “same texture of everything else”?
Why you had a lot if you didn't like it?
Michael very strange, I think probably added too much sauce and not enough injera to wrap it with. Some put too little and it falls apart 🤷🏽♀️
