From the 'Fur Immer' 80s days singing for Warlock, to her solo career in the 90s and beyond, this is her story. This episode was filmed with a live audience on the Sabaton Cruise 2023!

I was able to see Doro with Warlock opening for Dio at the Hammersmith Odeon, London, in 1987. Awesome show.

Her cover of "Egypt (The Chains Are On)" is magnificent.
My Mom was at a concert of hers in the early nineties. She brought home a Live Concert Album. I stole it, when I was still a child and never gave it back (I burned several copies of it, though and gave one to my mom) and I'm still listening to it. The studio versions don't do the songs justice.
I feel like we all did that when we were kids! LPs, CDs, casettes!

Shitz man. You sound like a Metal guru in this video. I would not have thought, despite having seen just about every video you ever posted on YT.
I am a very, very old fan of hers, as well as all my old friends.
We kept our alliance to her strong even at concerts where only 200 fans participated in the 90s.
Sadly never had the opportunity to meet her directly, but she is an incredible strong person that has carried metal as a messenger throughout so many years as an almost prophet.
This was a very touching video for me.

I saw her live back in 2016 at Skogsröjet, she absolutely kicked some major ass on stage! While I do not listen that much to her music, the songs that I have heard I abslutely love! Specially her latest duet with Rob Halford ' Total Eclipse of the heart' their version leaves the original in the dust! Its 100 times better than the original imo!

I wanted to BE Doro back in the day. Did my hair and makeup like hers LOL. And in 2024 she is still such a beauty and she still motivates me to keep myself looking good (I'm not as pretty as she is, but then again, few women are). I will always adore her and look up to her. ❤

Will you do an episode on “In the Army Now?” I was confused when I looked the actual song up and it was not metal, but rather classic rock.
I saw Doro perform at a metal club in Glendale Colorado called Bangles in 89 or 90.

I first saw Doro on MTV (back when it didn't suck) in the video "All We Are". After seeing that video, I said "Was ist das?! Teutonic heavy metal with a blond-haired, female lead singer? Where do I sign up? 🤘🤘🤘" and went out and bought the album.

Jeff Waters is a legend who singlehandedlykept the band alive through th9ck and thin, and their albums are all killer.
Especially Alice In Hell and Never, Neverland.

Being drunk eats Indy's credibility, and for metal queen there is another, and she is married to this guy that plays in band with camo pants on. Just hope Pasadena 1994 episode will be done more "professionally".

please, the best female vocalist in metal?! who thinks such a thing? there are much better out there, even her fans must recognize that.
Heres the problem with Doro.
I LOVED Warlock. It was raw, it was metal, and none of the weak, "love me" "date me" "Im so alone" bla bla bla crap that you expect from a female band. Pat Benatar has this problem, Joan Jett, they all get labeled as this kind of rock.
Maybe the producers felt that "sex sells" and pushed this branding on Doro in the US, but it was a colossal mistake, because after the 1990 album, I moved on. Doro, while in Warlock felt like part of the brotherhood of metal.
I did listen to Breaking the Law, and I will add, that it kind of....meh (so I dont say sucks). I am a lifelong Judas Priest fan (and even survived Ripper Owens that gets too much hate). But when MFing UDO joins and makes the song a duet, ok...were good. I love UDO. Hes the brawler of metal, either in Accept or on his own. I am...head over heels hehe.
But sadly, not even UDO can help now, because even her album covers are just simp thirst traps now, and that is not metal.
