I think the scariest thing about this Frieza is that he isn’t the same guy that he was on Namek. He’s become a martial artist, he’s fought next to his foes, he’s seen, used, and felt the power of the gods, he’s demonstrated mercy twice at the conclusion of this arc.
I am really excited to see where this goes for his character
I think it’s crazy how they suggested in the video that he may try to overthrow Beerus hopefully we get a battle where beerus can showcase more powerful abilities id like to see it. But him becoming black with his transformation really does complete the whole Yin Yang thing which I like as well

Frieza modeled Golden after Ssj to chase down his ops. Black Frieza exists because he focused on himself and got on that grind and achieved a new form on his all his own & he bodied his ops with his selfprogression. The lesson is: focus on yourself & not these ops. focus on your progress & your grind & you'll be unstoppable

Frieza is so confident in his abilities that he simply doesn't view Goku and Vegeta as threats. Think about it he trained for 10 years and we saw what 4 months and image training in hell did to his power.
He most likely used SSJB Gogeta as a baseline for how strong to get an just went overboard from there. He knows saiyans always get stronger, Goku would master UI, and fusion is their trump card. Making me think that Frieza trained to battle a hypothetical MUI Gogeta.
I 100% agree that Frieza trained to be strong enough that he could confidently beat a PUI Gogeta cuz Frieza is smart and calculative and if Black Frieza can truly confidently beat a hypothetical PUI Gogeta I think that means he could also beat a TUI or UE Gogeta and I also believe Frieza is hiding another transformation similar to Cooler’s 5th-Form on top of his Black form because it would be very unwise to show your true strength right away considering it didn’t even look like he was trying when he 1-shot them 2

Black frieza is honestly ingenious if you think about it. He can say the n word while also keeping a higher standard of privilege once he turns back into his normal form. Frieza really does think ahead for this stuff.

We haven´t seen Frieza with such a difference in power since the Namek arc. I love it, the best thing is that we don´t even understand his motives now. Keeping Goku and Vegeta alive is the biggest TF moment ever, makes you think he has even bigger plans now.
Frieza probably realize how miniscule of hating the sayians are in the full realm of universes. Gaining total domination is killing the gods period.

@@charlesolinger9735 when the spoilers of this manga came out, i sat in deep thought and posted a comment in which I made up an entire scenario in which Frieza leaves Goku and Vegeta alive in order to recruit them to help him fight against his brother Cooler and his army, since Cooler is seeking to take out Frieza and his empire as "payment" for embarrasing the royal family by losing to a "low class Saiyan twice" and playing a role in getting their father killed years ago, and Frieza knows that Cooler is stronger than him even with this new black form. It's a pretty interesting story honestly, and I'm not just saying that because i came up with it. Lol. I really do mean it, because it gives Goku and Vegeta a legit threat to the universe and brings back a pretty popular character, cuz I mean shit, they keep bringing back all of these old villains, why not bring back the older brother of the "ruler of the universe"?

Black Frieza is definitely planning on taking out the mightiest in the multiverse at some point. Thing is, might won’t be enough. Frieza is going to keep up his training, expand on his arsenal of techniques and knowledge of the gods before he makes his move. Keeping Goku, Vegeta and Broly alive is a big brain play to get them to draw out their peak powers and collect the mightiest of universe 7 all to fall by his hands before he moves on to the next universe.

Now that you mentioned it, I do remember that Frieza did say he plans on conquering everyone including the Omni king and the angels pretty late in the tournament of power arc. When I first heard that from frieza I did not think much of it at the time but now with this black form that frieza has it gave me some goose bumps to be honest. I definitely have extremely high expectations for next arc.

Its just a question of if the authors can figure out how to pull the trigger on such an enormous and complex multiverse spanning plot, or if they'll opt out of something so complex and give it an anticlimactic conclusion. I hope they can go through with it, but I won't hype myself up too much, just in case.

Hmm, I don’t know, i am probably wrong but I honestly feel both true ui goku and ultra ego vegeta should be on the level of whis or at least in the same ballpark though with all their training and fighting up until this point. Taking the account of both Moro arc and the recent arc of course. So we’ll see, definitely going to be interesting.

I thought that Frieza Black was a visual representation to the opposite of Goku’s MUI form. Which was an indication of how opposite they are to each other as characters, further more, on screen when they fight against it’ll have an almost Yin Yang look to it. But this video made me realise there may more to it than what I originally thought.

What makes Frieza a good villain in Z is that he’s naturally evil. Cell and Buu were made the way they are. Frieza just dose what he dose because he feels like it.
How was Buu "made" that way? If anything Buu was made "more innocent" when The Kai from the past gave up himself and made Buu the fluffy pink child he is in Z before transforming.
Frieza being able to use the race card aside. Him gaining this new form and the confidence he displayed using it could kinda showcase a new change in his character.

My theory is that we're finally moving into the direction of gohan!!!! If we look at the history we see that Frieza never trained but when he did he attained exponentially greater power. Interesting enough, he's not the only character in to series to attain tremendous amount of power quickly after training. We've also seen this in gohan especially after the movie superhero... or even when gohan trained for cell. I think we're going to get a gohan inspired arc. And takeover soon. 🫣

I've enjoyed having him as a hard to reach milestone to surpass, but its been long enough, and it'd be nice to see Frieza be the one to prove to Goku and Vegeta that, hay, tis guy actually can be surpassed, like yeah its been their goal all along, but seeing someone do it before them would be hella motivating.

Black freeza explained: he trained really hard in a variation of the time chamber for 10 years and has surpassed the saiyans and will potentially try to overthrow beerus and the omni king. There, saved everyone 18 minutes of their day

To overthrow the omni king he will have to defeat the Grand Priest first. No matter how strong black frieza is now...I seriously doubt he is anywhere near the Grand Priest level
@@Jaboyd_17 I don't think he'd even need to fight Grand Priest given the angels are technically just attendants and observers, they aren't supposed to get involved. Though I suppose GP could work by different rules. The main obstacle if not GP, would be Zeno's bodyguards who are probably quite strong in their own right.
@@dreadrath They are not supposed to get involved mortal battles. Any threats that involves God's there are different rules that apply. The Grand Priest will not just sit back and watch anybody attack Zeno. Especially if he has direct permission from Zeno to defend him at all costs. But let's give your argument the benefit of the doubt and say Frieza finds a way to get pass the Grand Priest. Yes the guards are another problem. But Zeno himself is a whole other problem. He has the ability to erase you just by snapping his fingers. You can't defeat that with a power level. 1 is bad enough. Universe 7 has two Zenos now. I don't think Frieza wants that type of smoke

Which means if there's ever gonna be a rebellion of this kind, Frieza would need to find some indirect method of going about it, one that only uses direct confrontation as a last desperate and hopeless resort. Zamasu at least showed that GoD's could be neutralized by way of killing the supreme kais, and by extension the angel of that universe would become "Inactive" whatever the hell that means since they clearly don't die.
Makes me wonder if there's some kind of workaround, since clearly this isn't something raw power can accomplish. I'm not sure Frieza could fake a friendly disposition to befriend Zeno like Goku sort of has, the guy just oozes evil, so that's a no go (Plus I'd respect Frieza a lot more if he did devise some clever indirect method of conquering the gods) It might be a cheap solution, but he might be able to exploit the Super Dragon Balls somehow.
Eh, I dunno, I mean he's doomed to fail no matter what, I just hope whatever he does, its clever, impressive and has a major impact even after he fails, even if only to put the fear of mortals actually being a genuine danger into the thus far arrogant god hierarchy.

In Dragon Ball Super Super Hero they mention Frieza like he is still active and out there and still very much a threat. Which if you pair it with the fact that this arc is set a year to several years before that movie, Frieza is gonna remain the biggest threat to the Z fighters for a while. I half way wonder if Goku training Uub might even come down to this issue, much like a Goku training Gohan to beat Cell kind of a deal.
So your telling me that some how gohan got stronger than goku and vegeta who have been training for years with beerus and whis, with absolutely no training 🤔. I honestly don't think that they are related I think its a boruto situation here.

Yeah, they also mention moving Broly to Beerus' world to keep him safe from Freeza. At the time I was like "Broly beat Freeza down bad, why would they need to keep Broly safe from him?" Now I know.
@@veambeam that's was the narrative of the movie, you don't have to flat out say that if you say it correlates with the movie, the only way the two can exist together is if you don't know what has been going on in the last two arcs. We saw gohan in the last arc he wasn't this strong and he had been training again, just for him to all of a sudden stop again? Why?

If you think about it, freiza didn't do anything special besides sacrifice some of his age for power just like granola, goku and vegeta could train for 10 years in the time chamber but it's like cheating

Great talk! When he talked about frieza going from white to black and how it’s a full cycle of the dao. I immediately thought of Luke skywalker. When we first see Luke, he wears white/badge symbolizing his purity or innocence. As the films progresses he learns more about himself and at the end he wears black symbolizing his maturity and mastery of all things the force. Love these talks on dragon ball and journey to the west. Any talks on the dao always has my ears perked, and my full attention.
I just love how it almost felt like Frieza came in like "this arc is taking too long, I'll finish this shit" then dipped tf out.

Frieza was one of the strongest without training a single day in his life. This makes sense. People ate just angry about how the creators went about it. Rightfully so.

I don’t even think this is Frieza’s final form. Notice his torso is his base form torso, but when he was Golden Frieza, everything changed. He will either reach another new level or he already has and is concealing it which I think is a lesson he learned from Goku during their first fight in Super. He’s not done showing off, he’s just getting started.

Got to wonder if this form has anything to do with hakia since Frieza was trying to figure out destruction energy before and during the tournament of power I also wonder if it’s the same room of spirit and time or a different even harder to survive room of spirit and time?
This is EXACTLY what Goku deserves for letting Freeza come back to life. Tori and Toyo decided to let him back out of hell and I see NO BETTER time for him to come than after all those guys just took a MASSIVE shit on his name. The whole arc everyone's all "Fuck that Freeza guy, we gonna rule the verse now." Goku and Vegeta may need Potara, possibly even Broly, but for sure they might need to see if they can wish for the years of their lives back from the Room of Spirit and Time so that they can use those up again without losing more than like a year. I know 10 years of Freeza training sounds like it made a power gap that may rival Beerus, but something tells me he didn't train all that time, at least not physically. I feel like he may try to go after Beerus though, who knows?

People complain about the recolors when dbs uses them in a genius way. Every single color represents something.
In frieza’s case, golden Frieza symbolized him mocking the ssj legend he feared. Now black Frieza represents his evil heart, and how his potential is like a bottomless abyss.
It's more so that it's just lame. They can do that and make it a physical transformation. I did like golden freiza tho and this, just this should also have at least some physical differences. As for the main characters they defo need more than just aura and hair colour changes, which is where tails would come in handy if they ever gave them a return
Could also be him mocking UE and UI, since black white and purple seem to be the theme of Saiyan forms right now if we count beast Gohan.

Really appreciate this kind of esoteric analysis of the series... As someone who loves mythology this really helped put some things together that i had myself noticed and was curious of. The series is really stepping into the great westernern aspect of old Chinese mythology... My mothers people of the Midewinn/Potawatomi have history in the US when they said China Superior use to be over here and that they were trading rice/corn/spices with so called Chinese for ages.... The Qing Dynasty is the age i believe that alot of the history is mixed up Qing being the Xing or Olmec /Xi

Kinda miss when transformations were actually transformations and not just color swaps. Wasn't Cooler's transformation supposed to be stronger than any of the ones pre-golden Freiza used? Would have been cool if Freiza had unlocked that form along with the color swap.

This just my thoughts on DBS. I don't think Frieza is going to be the final boss for the Z warrior but rather become some type of ally to defeat a bigger threat. Another thought I had is that they have one last tournament, mortal vs mortal or the gods for the right to become a destroyer. That way they have a reason to bring back the strongest fighter one last time.

I love that description in Freeza understanding that he wouldn’t be as strong as he is without Goku and Vegeta and I do think that we’re are setting up a final showdown.
Frieza only trained for the soul purpose of defeating Goku that's the thing that was holding him back but right now he is starting to realize where his full potential lies and the fact he doesn't view Goku and Vegeta as threats to him anymore shows you he is focusing on other things like surpassing the gods of destruction themselves now that's a dangerous side Frieza that I like hell he might be even holding back and didn't even go full power
I know frieza is a fan favorite, but I’ve always wished cell was the returning villain. Cell scaling alongside the Saiyans always made sense to me. Frieza just getting random power ups because he’s such a natural fighter feels like a disservice to saiyans as that’s their entire theme

Same, but with Cell the writers can keep saying "Zenkai boost" and have them keep going. But with Frieza, it feels as if we're back to Namek level power. Well, that was Zenkai after Zenkai. Bad example. 😅
I saw alot of people being like “oh great. He got ANOTHER transformation” but honestly with how dragon ball transformations are, 10 years of training makes sense, especially for the Frieza race. Hell, I wouldn’t of been surprised if he got another 4 in between Black Frieza and Golden Frieza that he hasn’t shown yet, either due to him wanted to show off, or he wanted to test his strongest form for himself.

After the Ls Frieza took to Kale Jiren and Broly and witnessing UI and fusion dude realized multiple people can body him so he trained his ass off to make sure he doesn't take a L again

He never took Kale seriously, he eliminated Jiren and he was still able to keep fighting against Broly despite losing. Now, he can casually oneshot those 3.

I have a different take. I think Frieza trained so long because of diminishing gains. Remember how Goku and Gohan said at some point beating yourself up no longer has useful gains? We also saw this when Vegeta trained in the chamber for Goku Black. I think it took Frieza years to get the black form because the training was diminishing.
Probably doesn't help that he was training alone (As far as we know) so without something strong to test himself against, his options are limited (Unless he pulls a Piccolo in early Z and figures out the multi-form technique to make a copy of himself to train against) Also Frieza has never had a formal teacher of any kind to teach him different ways, he's entirely self-taught, which explains his creative yet straightforward fighting style, no martial arts, form or proper technique (Unless he's imitating Goku's moves) though he does have some pretty unique ki and telekinetic based attacks, so he can get pretty imaginative when he wants to.
Who's to said he trained in there alone? He took Tagoma to train with him before. Maybe he grabbed another lackey... Or multiple and beat the crap out of them for 10 years straight.

How could you possibly be able to explain this transformation? It hasn't even been discussed properly in the source material. You reaching further than Luffy bruh.
People act like that's not a re occuring theme in dragon ball for everyone the color change power up. This one actually makes sense in terms of it's been being built for years that Frieza is a freak prodigy that never trained, got a taste of that by him going from his namek power level to Golden with just 4 months training. Then this with 10 years.
It's also symbolic, Frieza literally states in golden form that made it that color by choice because of ssj. He can choose whatever color he pleases, if he wanted he could be that level and stay purple and white.

Frieza is my favorite character, so hearing that he's still being used and is gaining new forms and power is beyond fan service for me.
However, I don't read manga and only watch the English dub anime, so if they ever get to any of this crazy cool stuff, it deeply saddens me that the GOAT Chris Ayers can't provide the English voice for Frieza anymore, as I think Chris voice was absolutely perfect for the character.

I miss all old transformations, all this color changing stuff with some subtle differences is getting old, and to me lazy but it is what it is!.
Since goal as whis said is to use strength without transforming much or at all, i guess it all makes sense from a stand point what series trying go for but still sucks, can't put more emphasis on some more differences i mean shit super sayian transformations don't half be crazy like ssj3 or ssj4, but come on, freiza to he transformations were what defined him and his brother.
