I would like to see a test of other games, such as Minecraft, Dota 2, maybe even Forza 5... Of course, I understand perfectly well that this laptop was not created for games, but still...
Minecraft, DoTA 2 and LoL will run fine in mostly high details and resolutions. Forza 5 is a perfect 60 in low details at 1200p. It'll choose these settings automatically, it will run great and I'd be happy. That being said, you can also get away with choosing the medium preset and toning down the textures and lighting effects, much like Doom Eternal in this video.
@@Slap_Tech Thank you very much for your comment! I am just considering this laptop for purchase and would like to get more or less good performance in addition to its good build quality and durability, so that after school I could play something
@TheWalkthroughKiller my delivery date came and went after I had been charged and given a delivery date. 2 weeks later, after emailing them every day, they made a post on reddit apologizing and saying they were going to come up with shipments dates. I still never got an official communication, so I requested a refund. Got a refund the next day. Pisses me off because it shows they were reading my support ticket email for 2 weeks and chose not to respond.
@@Slap_Tech NICE! thank you for the quick reply man. I just ordered a 32gig 8840hs variant of the P14s Gen 5 AMD and I was just wondering about whether it had the option to do so or not.
Hi everyone! I have a ThinkPad T14 gen 5 with a ryzen 7 8840u and 1x 32GB of RAM and not get even remotely to this amout of performance. Does anyone have an idea why I only get really bad FPS in games for example in Forza Horizon 4 between30-40 in low setting on full HD or like 33 in avrage in War Thunder at low settings. Can someone help? Thx in advance
Is 16gb enough to do some light gaming with the 780m?? i.e. playing CS go i ask because the memory in the machine I'm looking at is Soldered... And I know the 780m uses the generic RAM in the machine as 'vram'.. So I'm wondering if 16gb would be enough if the 780m is stealing some.
CPU's will start to wear when they run for extended periods over 90 degrees. Since this laptop runs consistently at 82 under full load there's almost zero chance the CPU will be damaged by prolonged heavy usage. The G14 in this video... that's another story. 😅
It really is amazing what integrated graphics are capable of running these days
he somewhat uploaded real settings of the games and real led qualities of the laptops
camera used pretty bad though, not exactly accurate
Truly it is!

I have one of these on the way after Framework never delivered my laptop.
Lol yep. Framework said they were going to take over a month to deliver my laptop. Cancelled it and went to this.

Were you able to allocate more VRAM for the iGPU thru BIOS?
You can allocate up to 8 gigs of RAM for the iGPU, just like the P14s gen 3.

How does it run Skyrim?

Try changing the power consumption mode

I'm also considering buying this and from my point of view 32GB is worth the investment.
In addition to the FPS, does the overheating from these games cause long-term issues in the laptop or is it OK for the laptop to get a bit hot

How is the battery life in your experience? i'm only getting like 2-4h with various workload
Is yours oled or ips?
