i sure hope youre right. every el camino i had was butchered when i got it and even worse when i was done messing with it. mine were generally grossly overpowered "one wheel wonders" that wandered all over the place. awful in the snow.a million wiring shorts. no way to haul anything of any weight. bed rails too low to secure anything of any size no interior room.too small to actually screw in... i always had to use the bed for that. just forget about a trailer. good times... all in the interest of being cool. ha. a better memory than a reality. lol.

2 door cab seat, no compromise on bed size, awd, good enough handling for canyon carving and snow, can tow, nice speakers, nice bench seat options, reverse camera, and and 40k out the door. Just a small storage behind the 3 seater bench seat would be perfect, possible a bucket seat. I would really like to talk to someone about designs because this is my only dream 4 wheeled vehicle. Just enough room for dogs bikes and a girl.

Before Pontiac folded it was going to come over here as the G8 Ute and I wanted to trade my Dodge Ram for it so badly but, that was not to be. I never understood why it wasn't going to be an El Camino from the start or why it didn't shift over to Chevy when Pontiac went away. I just need a 2 door truck that I can haul my motorcycle in or pick up some stuff from the hardware store. If they make the bed this small instead of what the Ute has then it is pointless.
