  • In this video we visit Hadrian's Wall, Sycamore Gap and Housesteads Fort. Sadly 4 weeks after we filmed here the beautiful Sycamore Tree has been cut down deliberately. This video was difficult to edit for us so soon after the sad news, We feel so privileged to have been able to see it in all its glory, such a loss for The National Trust and Northumberland.
Entry into the fort is free for National Trust and English Heritage Members
Thank you for watching our video which is part of our Northumberland Adventures

It's amazing that so much is still standing after all this time. The Romans definitely built things to last.
Hope you're having a good week

Even without the Wall this is a spectacular place to walk. We just love the views up here. The Wall though really adds value. It is an amazing construction and so exciting to follow. The forts along the Wall are wonderful to explore. I am really glad you were able to see Sycamore Gap before those ignorant vandals destroyed the tree. I certainly hope they receive a punishment that deters such mindless behaviour.

You're right it's a fabulous walk, we loved it.
To think the wall and forts were built all those years ago.
We feel so lucky that we got to see the beautiful Sycamore tree, it's so sad that it has deliberately cut down 😢
Hope you are keeping well and have had a lovely weekend ❤️

That pretty cool. I keep meaning to check out Hadrian's Wall myself. It's amazing how much is still intact after all this time. Those Romans built things to last. You got to see the sycamore tree before someone mindless idiot cut it down. Great explore 👍

Hi guys. I've just found your channel and loved watching this. I've always wanted to see Sycamore Gap and I'm absolutely gutted that I'll never be able to now. It was nice to see it on here though. My kids would love to see those Roman toilets, they always like to seek out historical loos when we visit places! Great video. I look forward to seeing more from you. Stacey xx

@morgsjoboo2247 awh that's very kind of you, I didn't expect a return sub 😊 so thank you so much for that.
We love historical places like that and hope to explore a lot more of these types of places over the next year, so I've added this one to my list.
Hope you're having a great time in Scotland and hopefully you aren't too wet. It's been non stop raining here in Wales!
