I have absolutely no clue how this showed up in my recommended, I'd never even listened to the original before, nor any of that musician's music, or any bardcore within the past month. Yet here I am, and as a wonderful man once said: no mistakes, only happy accidents.
Love the cover. And the design for the witch is so cool, not a hideous hag, but rather a human woman with that uncanny valley aspect with those claws and that long neck. Totally the kind of creature that would throw off an adventurer who'd be like, "I know that's a monster, but . . ." Love it.
*Normies with a Time Machine*: I'm going to kill Hitler and rescue all the books out of the Library of Alexandria before it burns! *Me with a Time Machine*: I'm gonna teach myself how to play a lute, memorize as many bardcore covers as I can, and turn every era and land I visit into an anachronistic Jukebox Musical!

"If she was so mad about it, she shouldn't make a deal she can't fulfill the conditions. We run a serious business and we take our ToS VERY seriously." -Obsidian & Brimstone Incorporated.
As the witch sings, the smoke around her dancing to a shape of a man, her husband, with a woman who is not her. Jealousy and rage blind her heart. Tears flow as her heart beat the drum of war. Oh, her anger, even the ghost around her shiver as they felt her anger. To think that her husband, the man she loved, dare to do such thing. Such unholy thing. This will not be overlooked, she said. Galloping home, she will have her answer and her husband will feel her rage. The result of this conflict will be UNHOLY.
@@MariCoreOf all the music groups I've seen there, this song would be top tier stuff. Betcha one of those belly dancers would love this track for a dance routine. 👍
Pov you're a witch finder in the colony of Massachusetts bay and you thought this was going to be a easy job, now you're in the woods clutching your musket as the night air fills with a haunting tune
Splendid, truly… but to be pedantic: the English used here is syntactically and semantically more Jacobean than medieval. Even avoiding Norman- or late Middle English vocabulary, the poetic form is closer to Middleton’s or particularly Jonson’s verse speeches than, per se, Chaucer or Langland. (ex., Quicksilver’s verse dialogues from Eastward Ho)
Wow, this is brilliant, thank you for making it! Your singing is great and the text sounds captivating. Can't judge the accuracy as I've never heard the original, but now I have no need. Subscribed.
MAN i wish there was a male version of this so i can animate my tiefling lad singing it lol. I absolutely LOVE this vid, your voice is fabulous and I'm so obsessed with this bardcore lyric cover
The lyrics are in Early Modern English, spoken between the late 1400s and late 1600s. However, the instrumentals are from the 1100s-1300s, when Middle English was spoken. This should sound like Chaucer, not Shakespeare. I am being pedantic this is great
@@graymatterwolf850 unfortunately the translation only came without her verse. The ones i found don't match the "story" i did for this video. so I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you ^^"

Ikr? Tomm did a wonderful job translating this :D
The witch be singing this as she places a really powerful curse on the whole village before she gets executed by the angry mob-
And then her ghost curses the whole village again out of spite 🤣🤣🤣
With the backing instruments and everything... she giving the peasants a free concert while literally on fire

If theirs one thing I’ve learned from Raine Whispers, is that you don’t mess with bards! They can either make your day or make it a living nightmare.
damn, bards seem to range from pretty annoying to very dangerious based on what I'm hearing so far XD
