@@AttiasBarak not at all, the live guides had a lot of down time and troubleshooting. Here there are no distractions. Obviously he dosent rush since some people might get lost.
I could quite happily watch one of these every week. As a beginner I think you could even go faster if you wanted to. Was easy to follow along. Super informative too !!
Awesome video, more of this, please!! Loving the graph to set up the vegetation materials, very logically explained... and demonstrated without any waffle or needless commentary and procrastination. Just need to get myself an RTX laptop so I can do this on while on the move!
As always, brilliant stuff Daryl. The tractor could have been a little old (Aged Textures) given that it has vegetation around it. I am fan of your work since your Autodesk (MAYA is so synonymous with your name) days and it was a pleasure meeting you at the NAB show in 2015.
This is great, there is a lot of training content for unreal, but I think this is tutorial really gets to the point, with excellent descriptions. and i'm only 15 mins in! Can you provide a link to the tractor model?! Thanks for this
Great video! Very well explained and detailed Daryl, I’m sure you could spend the whole day painting landscapes like that, impossible to do the same way back in Maya right?
I am wondering the same. But also, theee Xfrog assets look grrat but are they really good to use in games? Those grass and trees look extremely high poly!
At 55:48 the presenter adds xFrog plants - but doesn't show how he imported xFrog assets into Unreal. I've Googled without any success. Does anyone out there know the answer?? Thanks!
Hello community, every time I try to upload a custom HDRI texture to my HDRIBackdrop Cubemap it gets very pixelated and looks terrible, no matter if it's on 2k, 4K or even 16K it looks the same! do anyone knows how to fix this before I lose my mind!!!
not sure why after i did all was told in the begginning my project crashed and then i get EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION crash info ...cant open my file either
So WHERE did the tractor come from? Is this asset downloadable from somewhere? How are we supposed to follow along, if you don't even tell us WHERE to get the assets (used) in the demo/tutorial/webinar from? It would be far more helpful if you made the project file available for us to download, so that we can follow along (with the video) and do it ourselves using the same project file that you used. Please post a link for the project file. Please and thank-you!
This presenter was competent and well-prepared. Even as an experienced ue4 developer, I learned some things.
Its Darren! Hes amazing!
Like this way more than the live guides.
This is a less than 10 min tutorial stretched to 1 hour video, the old live guides was packed with actually useful info.

I would like to see in your videos the FPS constantly on in the future, great job BTW!

Hey, this was on an RTX Titan.
I suggest renaming Unreal Engine to Real Engine to avoid confusion, because this looks real
This was fantastic thanks.

Yes, just have to update it in Project settings>Rendering

You talk too much about lighting and when you get to foliage material you suddenly treat us like noobs.
While I know this is basically just advertising for these people's products. It's useful, nonetheless.
Lol. It takes multiple software to make games. Shocker!
