    A video showing how I replace a diesel injector from a 2.0 Tdci Ford diesel engine using basic tools. If the Injector is held in place with dirt and grime, then you will most probably need a crowbar and patience as well.

    Thanks for the video, very helpful. A couple of questions before I dive in with my injector. The first time you remove an injector, how do you free it up if it doesn't slide out easily like in the video? Do you have to worry about dirt/metal scrapings falling down there after cleaning the seat? Any help would be appreacited 🙂

      Hi, thanks for your question. I used a small pry bar ( or a big screw driver) and jammed it between the injector and the aluminium head. I then moved it gentle back and forth until the injector was loose enough to pull out. I used my self made cleaning to remove the build up of grime on the seat. I used grease in the pockets of the tool to trap the removed grime, which I then cleaned of the tool before regreasing. I did this a few times. Thanks for your sub.

      @@knockittogether-kit Thanks, that's really helpful. I'm assuming I can put grease on a purchased seat cutting tool to collect the removed grime/filings too.

      Hi, thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I had to go through them one by one. Test drive t and repeat the process. There are kits that measure the returned fuel from the individual injectors. That is also a good sign that the injector is faulty.

      I tried that before, but I was worried I would break up the connector. The plastic is now pretty old and could be fragile and is a bastard when they break.

      @@knockittogether-kit right ,it is fragile at both tubes,once I had a split there but really hard to see very,very thin but when you push it in the middle it is sturdy, it is actually a slight hitting not pushing. If that goddamn return line breaks at dpf regeneration, the car may catch fire, very poor,intentional design.

    Hi, I am about to do the same job, but I am a bit unsure if it will solve my problem. I have a problem with diesel leaking into the oil, but not sure if its comming from the injectors or the pump. Is there any way to check the injectors before changing them?

    • @knockittogether-kit
      @knockittogether-kit  10 месяцев назад

      Hi, I am not a professional, but I had the problem of diesel in the oil. It could be the injectors, but first check the the return pipe and make sure it is not block and working properly. >I have posted a video with the return pipe in.

    Nice video , but after this change ,have you make a diesel bleed the rid of the air inside the fuel system?

    • @knockittogether-kit
      @knockittogether-kit  7 месяцев назад

      If it is only the injector you are changing, then it should bleed itself.

    • @iferogames8578
      @iferogames8578 7 месяцев назад +1

      You mean can i change all injectors without bleeding ? or if just one injector ?

    • @knockittogether-kit
      @knockittogether-kit  7 месяцев назад

      @@iferogames8578 Hi, the problem you might have is that if you leave all the injector pipes off, the diesel will most probably drain back into the tank. I done another video that shows the vacuum pump I use to help bleed the system. Another way is to change the injector one by one and run the car 1 minute between changes. This will refill the system and at the same time bleed it.

    am i correct in saying these dont need coding in.
    also how did you make your seating tool?.
