Delaneys Hut and More ... Snowy Mountains

- Checking out the rebuilt Delaneys Hut after it was destroyed by fires in 2019. After seeing the hut 7 months early it was great to see what an incredible job they had done, a credit to all involved.
If your ever in the area its a must see ... but do your research as its just off the Snowy Mountains Hwy but its easily missed.
After checking out Delaneys I made the most of the last day of daylight savings and continued to explore the area, I went down 4 Mile Dam Trail to the Eucumbene River.

One thing I’ve noticed with a that the huts up here don’t have as much graffiti in them as the VHC huts do.

I'm a little jealous that you have the Snowy Mountains and VIC High Country right in your back yard, but then again I'm not that far away from the Blue Mountains and Barrington Tops, so I shouldn't complain too much!
Only have the VHC, Snowy Mountain is where I’m working at the moment. But I’m definitely making the most of it.
I want to get up to the Blue Mountains for a couple of trips. It looks pretty awesome. 👍🏼
Yeah mate, you definitely need to take a rod with you. The river looked so fishy. Nearly spat a mouth full of coffee over the imac when you changed. Laughing and mouth full of coffee don't mix real well. I hope that gets your subs up a little, cause it was a bloody good effort getting into that water. Cheers mate again, BobbyB.
Spoke to a few guys couple of weeks later, they hiked down the river through some gorges, reckon there is plenty around.

Me and dad been in that hut and I remember the old one right next to it but it burnt 🔥 in the fires
Yeah, it’s been burnt a few times now I think. They have done a great spot rebuilding it back to its original state.

Yeah, rock the mankini! Great Vid. Actually heading to Tumut today from Canberra for a couple of days as a base to explore around there. Had Kiandra on the agenda from watching your other video and I might incorporate a trip to those huts and the four mile track looks like it won't scare the missus. May even head out Adelong way. Hoping for some snow.
Long Plains Rd, check out Cooinbil Hut ( camp ground also ) keep heading east to Coolamine Homestead, then on Blue Water Holes, good hike if ya keen but you’ll get wet feet.

@@aguyandhistroopy Yeah, been to Blue water holes and Coolamine - great trip across the Brindies from Canberra, but Broken Cart track still closed so couldn't make it this year. If I have time on Sunday, i can look at coming back that way.
