    I'm with you with the weather, rain doesn't bother me much when camping, but heavy winds (especially gusting winds) can fuck right off 🤣

    I was literally going to comment that the Yarrangobilly camp spot is awesome and then you pull in there.
    I stopped there for lunch in my Part 2 video. Great little spot

      @@aguyandhistroopy when I went 2nd week of May there was only 1 car on other side. But yeah for. holiday period you found it pretty quiet. Next time I take a journey down there it's going to be one of my camp spots.

    A great trip! I've always wanted to go to Blue waterholes but never got around to it because of family etc. Looks like it is a lot more accessible these days. I'll have to add it to my bucket list.

      Definitely 2WD access down there off the Snowy Mountains Hwy, well 90% of the time when the seasonal closures are open. I’m keen to go back and do the walks, looks like pretty awesome scenery👍🏼

      Cheers Craig, it was a good spot, hard to believe know one was there when on the other side of the road they were camping on top of each other. Couple of small bog holes must of scared them off.

    Thanks Gav for allowing us all to enjoy the beautiful Kosioscko National Park areas, some great camping spots there hey. Pity all that way up there and you still wangkas in their 2WDs. Gee that water was so blue, certainly worth coming back. Yes Crocs are the go buddy the steel cap alternative to the Aussie work thongs 🩴. Be safe and look after yourself buddy. ⛺️

      @@aguyandhistroopy no wucken furries Gav, my daughter use to work at The Lake Crackenback resort so done a little of the tracks up in the hills, use to live on the Mornington Peninsula and was a member of the Port Phillip 4WD club so there were numerous trips up to the High Plains ect.       @@aguyandhistroopy Hey mate, I took a trip down to Yarrangobilly for the day yesterday for a bbq lunch with the bride (the new trucks first trip out). The river was up a bit so didn't take the D-Max for a swim.Visited Sawyers, Delaneys, (fantastic restorations) and the homestead at the camp ground. Brumbies, lyre bird, wedge tails, snow up at Kiandra and just a terrific day out.
      Also had a look at my old fly fishing stomping ground at Denisons. (hadn't been back there for 30 years and has changed quite a bit from those days.) Was going to go and have a look at 2.0 but was running out of time. Bobeyan Rd on the ACT side is atrocious but getting repaired on the NSW side. Wish the ACT Mayor would do something about it.
      We probably wouldn't have gone without watching your post, but glad we did, we had a wonderful day. Thanks again mate, looking forward to your next one. Cheers, BobbyB.

      Mate I was in the same area this afternoon, went to a old pub near Cathcart, but of locals only location. Was built in the 1860’s … but how’d this, people use to use it after catching ships into Eden on the way to Kiandra. I couldn’t believe it when I read it.

      @aguyandhistroopy l was there for 4 days Gav last week, better than LR and l had a blast, even went to a funeral at the pub, pretty sad but it was very Ozzie, loved the 3 pubs, got lost on the golf course, emus gave me a bum steer, wandered thru potch heaps for a week still found nothing and laughed at every turn. Even the war memorial was a special place to be. I'll be back there again one day for sure!

      It’s a SupaPeg awning. Was called a
      “ Stand alone 180 “ pretty sure they don’t make them anymore. But it’s a great bit of kit if you using the pack of a vehicle while camping. 👍🏼

    Good stuff Gavin. I like the rear awning setup, the way it attaches to your side awning. Is that designed that way or your own mod? What type is it?

      Gday mate. It’s a SupaPeg 180 stand alone awning. Pretty sure they stopped making them. But they are a great bit of kit.
      They aren’t attached, just have them so they are close, prob looks like they are. I like that setup, gives you a few options, but I’m saying that I’ll be getting a 270 awning.

      Nah mate, good to swim in as far as I know. It’s the calcium carbonate limestone reacting with the water, some good trout in there apparently 👍🏼
