  • In this episode I take on Mt Gibbo, after driving from Wheelers Creek Hut to Mt Pinnibar.
    This section of track has a few technical sections as you get closer to the top of Mt Gibbo which makes for some interesting driving.
    Sit back while I take on the drive to the top and back down the other side to a great camping spot at Buckwong Hut Camp Ground.

    Jeez, big day alright. Great footage and magic views Gav, top stuff.
    Mate, on the cramps, I get a fair few, mostly at night and mostly in the calves but I also get bad pain that feels like a cramp in the same place you seem to be getting them, inside upper left thigh. I have some varicose vein issues in that area...leg looks like a mini map of the mountains you travel to be honest, it ain't pretty ! I suspect that those crampy attacks are more vascular than muscular and it's a bloody awful pain. I've found that getting a heat pack on it quickly takes the pain away. I realise that I'm at home and you're in the middle of nowhere but something like a usb powerbank and a lens warmer wrapped around your leg could be rigged up. If I try and stretch these things out the crampy pain kicks off in my stomach and I end up in twice the fucking agony. Horrible stuff this getting old.
    Take care man.

    • @aguyandhistroopy
      @aguyandhistroopy  5 месяцев назад +1

      I reckon you might be onto something there Yipman, I have one big varicose vain in the LHS inner thigh. Sort of where the pain is from the cramps.
      Might have to look into it a bit more.
      I always thought it was weird that it was always my left leg.
      Must have something to do with sitting down that causes it, as I can hike as much as I want and never get a cramp there.

    About time matey!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉👍👍 and if you’re getting cramps, apart from magnesium as you mentioned, you need to drink more water than two bottles a day. And small bottles by the look of them.
