    PART 2…➤ • Pt2: SOLVED Cold Case ...
    PART 3…➤ • SOLVED After 16-Years....
Returning to this case with a fresh set of eyes along with new information from local volunteer and Norwich University Graduate Northfield, VT and NSW Candidate Mentor William McIntosh - AWP team members Nick Rinn and guest “Down Under” Dan Prichard revisit Donnie Messier’s 16 year old case after a 2021 search effort made by AWP founder Jared Leisek and team lead Doug Bishop.
This video series documents AWP’s detailed search efforts over the course of 3 days using advanced sonar technology to scan and identify targets of interest related to Donnie Messier’s vehicle.
As with all searches, this episode brings emphasis to AWP’s 5-Mile Search Strategy:
    - Where were they last seen?
    - Where did they live?

    CASE NOTES
    ================
    Donnie Messier
    Missing Since: October 5th, 2006
    Missing From: Waitsfield, Vermont
Sex: Male Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown
    Race: White
    Age: 34 years old
    Case Description:
Messier was last seen at a party in Waitsfield, Vermont at 2:00 a.m. on October 15, 2006. He left the gathering driving his red 1997 Ford F-150 dual cab pickup truck and has never been heard from again.
The vehicle has the Vermont license plate number BGG890, a dual exhaust, a moon visor, a black tonneau cover, and the NASCAR numbers 27, 07 and 08 displayed in the rear window. A photograph of it is posted with this case summary. Since his disappearance, Messier's bank accounts, credit cards and cellular phone have been inactive.
Messier was reported missing on October 18, three days after he was last seen, after he missed two days of work at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters without calling in. His family described him as a hard worker and a "homeboy" who rarely traveled anywhere. The only out-of-state trip he had ever taken was in the fifth grade, when his father's work briefly took the family to Florida.

He has been with the team for awhile and has grown and learned so much and to see him have more interest in the diving role and overall is awesome. Sadly, he is the one to dive and find the vehicle but he did such a great job. Love and appreciation to the entire team because this family can now begin the healing process. Praying that God will guide them through the process and give them the love and support they desperately need in this moment.

May they stay with your team for the long haul in the future as no one in the world has the capabilities of what you guys do. And filming the learning OTJ that goes with it, and listening to each other and going with the doubt that it was 100% cleared....... what a learning experience for all that your team shared. I WAS VERY CONCERNED for him awhile back, I'm so thankful he now has others that he trusts to do this job as well as he does, to see the growth and support does MY HEART SO MUCH GOOD! It's just from watching him almost from the conception of HIS PURPOSE to where his teams are now, BLOWS MY MIND! I knew the business would balloon and Jared would be pulled in so many directions, I was terribly concerned about his own health; physically and emotionally, so it does my heart good to see him transferring responsibility to the other team leaders, who are doing great jobs, but I love seeing him doing what he loves BUT ALSO looking rested! Praying for you all, keep up the good work Jared and crew! I love watching their confidence and skills skyrocket! I love AWP, what they do, what they stand for, their compassion and dedication but most of all..... I JUST DOWN RIGHT LOVE THEIR HEARTS! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Great Job EVERYONE! I’m glad Carson had the experience of first dismissing the target, rationalizing that it was not a vehicle, but with the help of his GREAT mentor Nick? falling back on their intuitive “gut instincts” that this might be more than what they originally thought. Great lesson for the whole team, you are ALL working so well together.
Good on the law enforcement guys too for respecting the expertise of AWP and devising a recovery plan and using AWP to finish what they started.
I suspect this experience had to be more emotional for Carson than he realized and what was shown in the edited video. Carson, what you and the AWP team is doing is a very noble calling. If this dangerous work wasn’t emotional and moving you at some level then maybe that is the time to step out. I was gonna comment on part 1 but I’ll do it on part 2.
Donnie was at the party just 3/10th of a mile from my house. I wasn’t able to search for him when he went missing as I had 3 very small kids. But I did look for him/his truck on my own for years & years. I was 1 of 3 ppl that I know if that emailed AWP to ask for help. I’m so glad they came back for another search. I’ve been a subscriber well back when they first started with Sam Sam The Adventure Man. I don’t know if this was a coincidence or what, but I finally became a member about 2-3 weeks before this search & literally was praying the day before the truck was found. I had no idea that AWP was up here until the day they announced that his truck was found. I so badly wanted to go down but I didn’t want to get in the way. So that was my second missed opportunity to meet the gang (10.03.21 I was on my way back from PA & found out they were here the day before, so I missed them!). I’m upset that his parents found out about his truck on FB & the police didn’t notify them before a local FB page posted it! I’m so thankful that AWP do what they do. Sadly I must say that his remains were not found, so the search continues.
It was nice to see all the places shown in the videos. I grew up by Blueberry Lake. (Yes the guardrails have always been there & been upgraded. The rocks are there within the last 10 years when they drained the lake & did whatever they did & made the parking area). I’ve normally take River Road to avoid the many lights & traffic, plus it’s a much better view). Not once did I think any vehicle let alone his truck would be in that river. I’d love to join AWP, as an avid diver, maybe one day when they have a girl’s team! Lol Thanks for your help AWP & the many members for donations! We all make a difference!
Edited to add: I’m not done with the video so I don’t know if they will show it, but the tow truck driver got injured while getting the truck out. I heard he’s okay now. But that was one tough recovery of Donnie’s truck that AWP has done. Jared, let me know an address where I can send lollipops, my friend got to meet you & you had one! Lol
