49:10 Idea for Apple Intelligence. I want AI to edit my Shortcuts to make them more concise. Example being an automation with several “if” statements converting over to “conditions” to clean up all the “ifs” within “ifs”
Does this exist? I’d like a button (ex. Aqara) that I could push when walking the dogs and it will set a timer on a specific HomePod, send an intercom, or alert me in someway to let the dogs back in. I have a shortcut that flashes lights at different time intervals based on the temperature outside, but I need a physical button to trigger it or similar for everyone in the house to use and it’s not practical to pull my phone out every time I let the dogs out. (It gets cold in Cleveland with a fam of 7 I don’t want anyone forgetting the pups)
You can't set timers through HomeKit (not even with Shortcut actions which is ridiculous), so you would need something like Homebridge with a virtual dummy switch (can be turned on with a physical button) that turns off after a set delay and then you automate your lights flashing or whatever (can't use Intercom Shortcut actions in Home either, again, ridiculous) to go off when that virtual switch is turned off.
@@FilipRadelic lame. Right now I have a shortcut with a “wait” command that plays an intercom message and the “wait” duration changes based on the temperature outside. I just wish I could trigger it with a physical button instead of my phone. Maybe AI will help one day without having to make some elaborate setup.
Depends on the type of door and lock. Not any options I can think of for sliding doors that support HomeKit. If you have a deadbolt, there are countless options.
Chapters have just been added for those watching the replay! 😃

Hey Shane, will you be reviewing the Eufy S3 Pro camera?
Anyone test the hub ranges for all the Aqara hubs? Do they vary or is the USB stick just as powerful as the camera hub or puck etc?

Which aqara door lock is best today????? I am hiren from india
They are all great but two favorites of mine are the U200 and the U300. But it just depends on your needs and what type of lock you need.
i love 1password. any suggestions on smart locks on patio doors?
