You should get a sand blaster to clean up the rust if you’re gonna repaint some of those rusty pants

You should not lift or put jack stands under those beam like profiles!! They are really not meant for that. Many datsun's have dents in that beam as a result.
Could you maybe make a tutorial how to do a 3D car model in that program? I would really appreciate it and I think others would to. Pls answer this. PS love your work👍
Really cool build, I'm trying to decide between building/restorating a c3 Corvette and trying to get it to look like your rendering, (lol) or building a 240z. The z is like 1000lbs lighter, but idk if I can find one cheap. Where did you get this one? You said from auction in one of the vids, but is there like a website I should go to with a bunch of auctions, or just Facebook marketplace and craigslist?

Yeah, it's from a later 280Z with the vents.
We missed so much of the work done to this car already :/ windows being removed als that ... too bad but maybe you still have that filming material stored.

I'm ready to pull my seized L26 engine to swap for a rebuilt (+ do a conversion to manual) and this is exactly the type of info I was looking for. I feel a lot more confident now about pulling the engine + transmission together. Thanks!

Not sure, could be a possibility. What made you think that?
BradBuilds at 5:25 you see that rubber tube running around the inspection light and going into that black metal tube? I had that in my z too and just removed two weeks ago because the AC unit was not working anymore and those rubber tubes went into it and also into the cabin under dash left side 5:30. But you should also see if this car had one by looking at the dash since there should be switches for the ac. It was only a dealer option and not something datsun actually offered (as far as I know)

Suggest using some penetrating oil on those really rusted bolts and nuts.
This 7:36 is where a Haynes manual comes in handy. Also 20:14 too.
Use wd40 this will help you separate rusted metal

Woah, glad you did NOT brake you intake loose at 7:30 :) keep the SU types, easy to adjust yourself.... tripple are difficult to adjust

99% sure i'm putting the same *rebuilt* L24 back in it. California is too strict with engine swaps :/

Keeping it stock due to strict California swap laws :/
@@BradBuilds Nice work! Love the sound of the stock 240Z engine. And agree on keeping the SU carbs. Maybe a ceramic coated header would be a worthwhile investment. Also helps to keep the engine bay temperature down.
