Very usefull. I wonder if you use any grease on sprocket oilpump before installing back the sprocket?

      Hi there.
No, I don’t grease the sprocket at all. I just use bar oil for everything. That way there is NO mixing of lubrication product.
Additionally, I think grease would start to get tacky and hold the dirt internally. Possibly interfere with the bar oil.
You could pour some bar oil on the sprocket. Just to give it an initial oil. But generally I find the tree or vegetation I cut through in my part of the world has some moisture content which gets drawn into the chainsaw and acts as a lubricant.
Dirt will find its way in. This gives the black build up around the sprocket. Grease would magnify the effect. But others may have found differently?
      Good question.

thanks for the video, my chainsaw make a really high pitch noise, it can be bearing dirt or something? someone have any idea where to start looking for, its doing it without bar and chain also...thanks

      Hi E,
Have you got the chain tension really tight. Generally a raised pitch is heard when you don’t have enough slack in the chain.
One way to determine if that’s the problem. Simply remove your chain and bar. Next place the battery into the receptacle and pull the trigger. If you have your noise still definitely a motor problem. No noise it was too much tension on the chain.
      Hope that helps.
      Thanks for your comment here.

@@gremics-gallery thanks but the noise is still there without the bar and chain..it can be a bearing or dirt in the motor?
