Glad your wife is doing better. I'll bet that bed at home felt like a dream after the hospital. My mother was in the hospital for a day and a half and all they had was a hard wooden bench. Boy was my back cracking after that. After being up for nearly two days, when we finally got home, I was having auditory hallucinations of sirens and people talking on a loudspeaker as I drifted off to sleep. lol Then a few months ago, she spent a day and a half or so in another one and that one had a reclining cushy chair that let me put my legs up.
I don’t know how I missed him talking about his wife being ill. I went back through the video and still didn’t hear it. Did he edit it out?

Love your videos, saw this pop up last night and was so excited, I saved it to fall asleep, but then crashed before I got to it. I have used the F-701 for the past couple years, I loved it. Just lost it a month ago. To open it you can screw the tip off, right below the grip, I believe. It is the same as the X-701, you just have to work to break it free.

I’ve owned a few zebra pens myself. They a durable as a truck driver I’ve dropped mine and then ran it over, and it worked just fine some scuffs but 80k lbs and took it like a champ

I would love to see an ASMR / EDC video. That would be the perfect combination. I was watching EDC videos that gave me ASMR, long before I found out that ASMR is actually a thing.

The tip comes off of that F-series pen the same as the X-series. I think they must use some thread locker or something from the factory, as I had to use a pair of pliers and some leather( to keep from scratching the metal) to get it off the first time. After than, I can take it off with my fingers. The very top piece is also threaded (look at what appears to be a disk that sandwiches the pocket clip to the barrel).
I have that same black zebra sarasa with gold accents - it is so nice, and the gel writes so smoothly! I love my fountain pens best, but it comes in close!

😄 I collected those little football helmets when I was a kid. You'd put a quarter in a machine and they'd come out in those little plastic bubbles. I tried to get all the teams but couldn't so I eventually bought all of them at a yard sale. Those machines were like scratch off lottery tickets. You never knew which helmet you were gonna get. Part of the experience though I guess.
No way. My favorite pen is the 701.. been buying them for years. They feel so good to the hand and nice weight. I remember when i used to work on car sales, people used to feel so drawn to it. They used to complement it so much. Loved this video.

The FORD GRAN TORINO sport had one of the best and most popular motors of it's time, the 351 CLEVELAND. I have always wanted one but they are hard too find and very expensive.
Indeed. 351 Cleveland! That little engine could make lots of HP for sure, especially if you plopped a pair of 1970 heads on it. Having said that though, my big ol' Gran Torino Sport was never able to beat a 396 Chevy in a drag race. In fairness to me though, the Chevys always had me out-geared.

I had a Hispanic friend in high school that had 65-68 Mustang that he actually fitted a 351 Cleveland motor in it, obviously the motor was too big for the Mustang so he had too remove the hood, and beef up the front end suspension just so the car wouldn't drag on the ground so he used donuts and other heavy duty parts to make it drivable. Anyways he had the fastest car in the entire county, BELL COUNTY Killeen Texas. The car had MAG RIMS and TIRES and he had jacked it up in the rear, that car was everyone's dream car back in the 70s. Let me tell you that, that car was a monster he barely had to step on the gas too make it almost do a wheelie. I don't know what happened to him or the car after graduation but I'm sure if he's still alive he no longer has it. I wish they still made the Gran Torino Sport, but because of the all the BS about gas guzzlers and environment etc. The cars they make today are junk and are more computerized. I used to do my own work on my vehicles and now I can't do the work on them because I'm too old school too try and do so. Also one of my other favorite vehicles was the Chevelle SS and I miss the 454 engines as well. Times were so much simpler and fun in those days. I miss those days. Anyway sir, thank you for taking the time to respond too my comment, I really never thought that you would, it's been an honor. I'm glad your wife is doing better and I pray she has a full recovery. The X series pen may have been a little noisy but it looked like it was writing smoother. It's the one I'd like to use. The dogs were coming through loud and clear, lol. And yes, open the pack. 👍

Do the video. 😉 Ive been part of the knife and edc community for about 11 years now or so. Including flashlights, pens, fountain pens….so much more. My wife hates it. Haha I can give you some pointers if needed. Everyone has their own needs, likes and great ideas.

I share your puzzlement at these pen clips with entirely inappropriate ramps-that's just basic to making sure it's fit for its job. It's not excusable on a non-disposable Zebra, but it's downright astounding on my Platinum 3776, which I assume has had this dysfunctional clip since its introduction in 1978. It'll barely clip over a single thin piece of paper without having to lift the clip.

If you like the zebra pens, check out big idea designs. They make great stylish pens that work very well they accomodate over 80 refil styles. And most of thier pens are adjustable!

What’s the difference between ballpoint and rollerball tips?
Nothing really. Each uses a rolling steel val tip. It's the inks that distinguish them from each other. Rollerball uses a thinner ink, Gel uses a thicker ink, and ballpoint ink is different than each of those. Of the three, I prefer Rollerball when it comes to writing.
