@@gothpunkboy89 I’m perceiving this as a pick at the cronyism vs crony capitalism arguments written as a mirror to the No True Scotsman fallacy brought up by pinko’s and commies way too often. And boy do I have a backhand for you: Capitalism, by Marx’s and Engels’ definitions refers to any economic system in which the means of production are owned by the individual. This definition does not satisfy lobbyists and corrupt politicians. Free Market economies, which Marx was trying to describe, are economic systems with no government control. THIS ALSO fails to satisfy defining corruption. MIXED MARKET ECONOMIES, which the current United States has, is an economic system in which the Government has a presence in the economy through regulation or participation. While this is closer than either of the other two definitions I have offered, it STILL does not satisfy corrupt lobbying or even lobbying in General. CRONYISM is gaining or having the backing of Authority either as a part of an exchange or otherwise, WHICH IS WHAT WAS DESCRIBED IN THE VIDEO. So, pound sand. It’s not semantics, it’s correcting the record.

To be fair, the high cost of groceries wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the government making it hard to compete with the corpos.
the groceries I can manage, what I am having trouble with is the houses in my area spiking $80,000 over the past 2 years so a $120,000 house from 2021 ranges between $200,000 and $250,000. and those are the "affordable" houses that are in crap neighborhoods with bad schools, no yards and high crime rates. the houses in nicer areas are at a minimum $300,000 for a 1,200 square foot house 3 bed 1.5 bath

with the highest level of income inequality

MIXED MARKET ECONOMIES, which the current United States has, is an economic system in which the Government has a presence in the economy through regulation or participation.
