For those of us that have played the game, we must hold the line, we must never break, we must never tell them what they should do or what they have missed. We must be strong. FOR THE ABSOLUTE.
It's going to be difficult though with three people. It's easiest to get approval with companions by bringing them with you in your party. You can pass certain dialog options to get approval from them in camp but otherwise you'll miss a lot of approval/disapproval opportunities out in the game world. With two people you can basically "main" a companion each since party members can't talk to companions that is assigned to another player. You also don't share approval, so a companion's disposition towards you is going to grow at a snail's pace if dialogue is being juggled between three different people
@@jamesliggins891 yeah, kind of, the game provides different experiences for single player (companions stories within the set campaign), duo Co-OP (1 companion for each, kind of more personal companion experience for each player within the Co-OP), and 3-4 player Co-Op that negates the point of companions (if you play your own group/party why do you need companions, it is more of goofing around with friends experience rather than experiencing companion stories). Maybe it is a hot take, but play as origin character for 3-4 Co-Op is the best way, kind of. Basically, the point of having companions dwindles if you play your own party with 3-4 player Co-OP As DigitalSoul said "companions still exist", however companions will still leave because you don't take them to specific places. Also, you do miss a lot on their commentary and story outside of the camp, which is like 80-90% of their interactivity, since camp interactions are just supplementary to it.
Oh awesome, didn't expect this! Playing as 3 is cool cause you get the multiplayer experience but still get to take one of the companions with you at any time. So they can be there for their story parts (if they survive/stay until then xD)
OMG I am just now seeing this in my sub feed, but please please make this an official series where you all go on this continuous adventure together.. it will be one hell of an experience and gives us weirdos something to really look forward to.. not to mention BLIND WAVE DND BABYYYYYY :)
@@alexalex-gs9sp Yeah, makes sense. However, he chose Tempest Cleric, right? Those are more like damage casters, not really healers. And Tsunade is also very much a brawler.
I absolutely can't wait. The music in this game is phenomenal. Honestly, the musical que in that snippet is enough to make me want to replay the game again.
i mean if they actually play through the whole thing, for sure. i played it almost every day and didn't even do everything and it took me almost three months lol.
Thank Goodness for that ability to change your class anytime. I experimented with a few classes for hours and didn't settle on one until the defend the portal fight in Act 2. Ended up as a Dex Ranger simply because I had a lot of fun standing my ground while peppering the enemy with arrows as they took damage from the spike growth I threw down on the battlefield. Add that to the ability to switch to swords and cut down any who got close and I was sold. Without that I'd have just kept restarting over and over and never getting anywhere. Anyway, I'm way late to the party, but look forward to now watching the playthrough.
I really am interested in playing this game. Having blind wave playing it together makes me very interested in playing it so that I can come back and watch them play it.
You totally should. This game has so, SO many different ways everything can go I would recommend your first experience with the story to be your own. I played it for the first time with someone and I wish I experienced it on my own first. And then come back and see how those guys did it! :D
Oh yes guys! I’ve been playing this game since it came out on Xbox in December, and still haven’t finished it. I get near the end then want to try a new class. I currently have 4 tavs on the go (sorcerer, Druid, monk, bard). So excited to watch these fellas play. I adore this game.
I gasped when I saw this video and scared my girlfriend, I can’t wait to watch this when I first played the game and saw there was a multiplayer one of my first thoughts was I wanna see you guys do a playthrough. In other words ur welcome fellow viewers for manifesting this
I really need to play this game more. At least 200 hours played but I keep restarting so I haven't gotten that far. My longest I think was 80ish hours but I got fed up with that run. Just dumb game things compounding is usually my issue. Like how it keeps making my party members talk instead of my Avatar.
I've not played this game and most of my knowledge is by internet osmosis which isn't a huge amount but I've seen the hype about it all but i love a funny editied highlight video to teach me 😂
Interested how it'll go with Co-Op, since a lot of story are companions stories (and it would be cool to play origins to see the story, but also have a Co-Op). But anyway down for this :) Eric be like "Fantasy game with 11 races and 31 subraces? Buff human dude with a sword and board, let's goooo!". Approve Also, did Calvin already play this?
yeah that's the problem with co-op and if you DO co-op two player is better you still get ONE companion to go with you but that's not enough to get approval or anything unfortunately so you miss out on a lot of that content even two player i usually just see two player characters and their two love interests so they don't get to know any other characters multiplayer can be fun but i don't know if i'd totally recommend it for first time players
@@nightfrost1891>it's only 3 of them so they can take one companion with them thanks for the clarification for the game I've played since 2020 (early access, although not constantly/non-stop) (a bit of snarky comment, sorry, but I do know, it isn't hidden knowledge about 1 companion, also doesn't matter, probably even makes things messier in comparison to full 4 player Co-Op)
@@nightfrost1891 I somewhat agree. In my opinion, if you go 3-4 Co-Op (which doesn't matter really, 1 or 0 companions, the only companion they''ll bring will be supplementary), you kind of accept that it is about your interactions and not companions (and having 4+ party would crush the game's balance, that is already pretty easy in terms of combat). Like it is goofing around rather than learning companions stories, and it is fine tbh, as long as players themselves understand that they are getting a bit of different experience. Otherwise, they might be underwhelmed/upset by certain events, story bits and so on. Single player, duo Co-Op, and 3-4 players Co-Op are kind of different games, or I should say have different vibes/goals. I absolutely agree that duo Co-Op is the best way, you play with a friend, but also get companion stories, and even more personal, since basically you get attached to a certain one you always bring along.
I got myself Baldur’s Gate for Christmas. I’m still playing it now, and I haven’t finished it 😂😂 (I’m at the very last fight I’m just wrapping up side quests)

This is like the most perfect way they possibly could’ve played Baldurs Gate 3 😭 Playing it all together
so do you miss out on companion stories if you play as a group?
@@jamesliggins891 The other companions still exist, playing in Co-Op doesn’t remove them
