Turbo SD! Is that Super Deluxe? And they spelt Citroen wrong on the engine. It's not spelt Diesel. 🤣 Love the velour interior. Looks in good nick. As for the outside..... well, you don't seebthat behind the wheel. 😉
Oooooh a diesel too 😍 I have a 1994 Volvo 960 in this same shade of red, in similar condition paint that I'm slowly sorting out. Well, I say that but it's off the road for the winter now. I LOVE those early hubcaps. An XM Estate is definitely on my want list
@@16ValverYTChannel i do hope so! where abouts in the country are you? it's nice to add another turbo sd auto to the list, only 1 other i don't know about now
My auto also had a tow bar - which are heavy and seemingly made from girders. I binned mine as I don't tow and the ZF4-HP18 works hard moving the heavy XM around.
Hello, I am selling my Citroen XM turbo injection, automatic, petrol, 1998 cc, 1997, two keys, all history, under 82.500 miles, dark red, off the road, parked in my driveway (Greater London). The lacquer peeled and needs attention. Also requires new tyres and a new alternator. Interior impeccable, spheres have been replaced.
@@16ValverYTChannel Thank you. It still is on sale and I do not know how to sell it and how to contact the interested potential buyers and collectors of this particular car. It is in so much better condition than the XM you saved from the scrapyard and yet, I am unsure whether I will manage to sell it and save it! You did a wonderful job !
From my briefest of drives i think it's actually alright. I am a tad worried about its famous reliability issues but that's why I bought it...to find all this stuff out.
@@16ValverYTChannel Time to rename your channel 12valver :p. Reliability you mean just the trans or the whole car? If oil was regularly change they aren't too bad, but PSA said fluid was "lifetime" soooo... Frankly, it's (Somehow) not as bad to own as the 605, as you can generally find most of the suspension components remade now, and I mean they did make a bit more. As for general weirdness, the basic spec, 2.1td are extremly simple all things considered, not much can go wrong so it probably won't. I wouldn't want to touch a later hydractive es9 though lol Nothing to worry about the 2.1td, you got the Bosh mechanical pump, just cross fingers that it doesnt leak, because seals aren't produced anymore
@@16ValverYTChannel Estate with 2 liter petrol engine. No racer but very comfortable doing 100 mph for hours on the continental motorways with 4 people and all luggage.
It is going to the scrapyard tomorrow ONLY because the place where it is parked is needed, and I have now moved away on the continent where I cannot take it. It just does not sell ! Pity because my XM is beautiful, has pristine grey velvet interior, VERY LOW mileage, and is in such a better condition than the many XMs I have seen in RUclips channels being revived by enthusiasts putting them back on the road. Beautiful work you did. I only wish my XM had been adopted by a good family !
Still handsome. The towbar is a character assassination on somebody though, not sure who.
It's a shin killer, ask me how I know!!!!!
Have owned two of these - a manual and an auto. Both 2.1 TD and both epic long distance cruisers.
Cool! I can't wait to get wafting
yes 👍
i´m in my number 3 XM now

I've wanted an XM since they were launched but it had to be a phase 1 and with those trims.
same spec as mine! so this will likely add to the 4 on the road at the moment! superb absolutely superb
I've always wanted an XM but it had to be a Ph1. Hopefully it'll be ready for the toad in the new year...watch this space.

You'll be pleased to know that the boat anchor is gone 🥳🥳🥳
A very beautiful car 🙂👍
A rough diamond at the moment

Brilliant, thank you so much 👍🏻
Still wondering how bad the XUD11ATE is with that 4 speed auto lol. Good luck

One of the best cars I had when I lived in the UK.. Now I live in the US and Citroën is not part of the scene.
Oh that's a shame. What model did you own?

That colour always lacquer peeled on Citroens. I have to say I’ve seen much worse, although that tow bar set up is WEIRD.
It's an abomination and a knee destroyer.
@@16ValverYTChannel I can see in another video, that you managed to remove the towbar. Good work !
I'd have been more disappointed if it was a minter! To be fair the interior looks nice...
I think I'm gaining a reputation for shonky looking motors aren't I? 😄
