The old dude in the video is a legend as well. His name is Robert David Simon, a television correspondent with 27 Emmy Awards for journalism. Sadly in 2015, he passed away due to a car accident. May he rest in peace and have more moments like this with musical artists up there. He gets to hear all the exclusive deauxpas beats that we can't hear…that's pretty dope.
Deauxpas Beat /{Noun}/ Primary characteristics, the signature sound of deauxpas music, originated from producer J Dilla. Deauxpas may use a range of tempos, from 80 BPM (programmed at 160 BPM to achieve finer hi-hat subdivision) to 88 (176) BPM, but the tempo of a typical trap beat is around 70 (140) BPM.
@@kamka-ne2924 Yes, I know that. My question is why make beats at double speed... what's the advantages? ie: making a 90bpm beat but recording it at 180 (double speed) like I've seen some people do. End result is a 90 bpm beat.

its very uncomfortable to have to explain to someone what you are doing while they are hovering over your shoulder. Especially some old white person who doesn't have a clue or really even give a shit but its their job. My mother in law did this to me and I guess she thought I would feel better if she bobbed her head and did a little dance while she watched me trying to make a beat. I had to pretend that I was still focused on making the beat but i was just going through the motions daydreaming about shutting off my sampler and throwing it out the window and walking away from her.
