You’re beat was 👨🍳👌🔥 the sample through a granular synth was something I’ve never thought about and the house and pop feel with the contrast of sloppiness in the hihats and cool percussion is Awezome!!!! The other instruments you added fit so well!!!
Kanye imo. More creative, unique, especially with the KRS scratches on the hook. Never wouldve thought I'd be mumbling "rusty on that ting a wu". With that said, Dahi is your producers favorite producer. True definition of thinking outside the box with those drums.
Songs that people don’t know Kanye actually produced: Nosetalgia Gucci Gang lil pump Pushing P gunna No role models by j Cole (confirmed by ybn nahmir) Live or die trying by Kendrick Lamar The 75% of the utopia Travis Scott album 80% of the WLR carti album Surround sound by Jid Green room by Ken Carson
Your beat really shows why producers shouldnt scrap ideas at first hand. At first I wasnt feeling the way you chopped it, but the more you added to the beat the more I liked it
That is truly the types of beat I enjoy. That's what I wanna create. Like new different refreshing stuff. Your beat just inspired me to make more dude I love you!!
nosetalgia is one of the hardest boom bap beats ever while not technically being boombap, also kendrick and pusha T murdered the beat. Really hard to compete with that so it's understandable why you switched genres for this one
If you don't know the crazy snare sound in mamacita was used in many Travis scott and don toliver song (mostly wondagurl uses it) Example- can't say, gatti, no idea by don't toliver I find it very fascinating that's why I commented this 😅
The thing is, this is his business... Who will being more clicks, ummm the stuff you like? Or the stuff that most people like ie. Kanye or Metro booming? I think you can answer that yourself.. cause I definitely don't wanna hear any of those guys you mentioned. Navi does just fine without your help, thank God 😅
I love how you create interesting content and also plug your helpful product in a cool way! Those comparisons are really nice! It would awesome if your plugin could also show the tuning on the side. Similar to auto key by Antares. Can you tell me why you would change the tuning of the instrument rather than just pitching the sample?
Either way would "work" in that you would get a beat whose instruments and sounds all work with one another. It's just whether you prefer having an entire song slightly detuned (which can sound pleasant), or if you want it perfectly tuned.
Ok for the first time ever u have blown me away with ur attempt to make a beat with the same sample bc this lil house jawn is actually pretty fye like maybe not the flyest house jawn but shit is fye nonetheless ! :))
I enjoyed yours the most. My ears are really tired of trap, I love Kanye but am also very familiar with his sound. What you did sounded really interesting to me.
I don't why but before the beat drops i hear that scene from scarface when chico asked him how do you know and he said the eyes chico they never lie but on lie is when the artist comes in😅idk that's what I hear on your beat
Just found your stuff recently. Got Notegrabber and use it often now. Great video as always. Normally I’m Kanye all day, but I think the metro beat was my fav.
I don’t like when people say two people two different eras when it comes to producers. If we can agree making music is art, and if an artist is still expanding 30 years after they started why are we only thing of them during a certain time frame? Thats the one thing I don’t like about hip hop, everyone cares too much about people’s ages. If something is good it’s good. If a person base their opinion on what the artist looks like, where they are from , how old they are or whatever then they should just not talk, their opinion about art is worthless.
Fascinating to see black music intellectualized/analyzed in such a technical way. Almost adds legitimacy in same way the “classical” European schools of music have. It’s especially interesting because many of the elements of the music are so core and are naturally felt if you do come from a “black” upbringing. Further it suggests and maybe proves there is intrinsic art and skill in the music separate/beyond the sensationalization of drugs, sex, gang culture or other common tropes of hip/hop
for context i think pusha t said that when kanye heard the beat for numbers on the boards he said he had to get a few more beats like that for the album. my theory is that nosetalgia was inspired by that beat, you can hear it in the percussion choices and how minimal but mean everything is
As soon as I heard the kick in your own beat I detected the Daft Punk influence. You confirmed it! The sample instantly gave me DJ Screw vibes tho lol (12:29)
Upon listening again, I am very happy with the beat I made :)
Thank you to noteGRABBER for your help ➡ www.notegrabber.com/ I love you

It's one of my favorite beats youve made in a video
It sounds like it should have been on the Scarface sound track.
That Metro beat was hot garbage, friend. You and Kanye won
Your beat is amazing, I hope you upload it on Spotify!
Kanye imo. More creative, unique, especially with the KRS scratches on the hook. Never wouldve thought I'd be mumbling "rusty on that ting a wu". With that said, Dahi is your producers favorite producer. True definition of thinking outside the box with those drums.
I respect your choice, sir!
They didn't agree with Diddy to use the baby oil that's why Diddy didn't like the beat
The drums on Mamacita are insane, definitely Dahi especially those chopped percs
Yeah man, DJ Dahi is a menace
Honestly i think it was metro considering he was doing beats like Radical by Future around that time as well
Metro did the drums, watch Travis scott’s interview with Nardwuar
Yoooooooooo you’re wild for that Diddy joke 😂😂😂😂
Not as wild as that perc pattern
There was no joke
😂😂
nah diddy jokes needs to be stop
@@loveublonded you was at them parties huh? 😂

4:30 not gonna ruin your promo but Tuner in FL does show + / - for cents so you can fine tune with that as well 👍
Thanks for this!
also wavecandy in FL is implemented in a similar way
Your beat really shows why producers shouldnt scrap ideas at first hand. At first I wasnt feeling the way you chopped it, but the more you added to the beat the more I liked it
1:34 😂😂😂😂OMG Navie.
You’re such a troll 🧌.
Thanks for all the good jokes 😂😂😂.
That beat you made was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
❤️ thank you Roddyyyyy

I love you too, sir
You have the best content on RUclips for beats rn appreciate you
Thank you my massive friend
@@NavieD And you know what else is massive?
that DJ Dahi drum is wild.
It adds so much into the beat
the chop you made for the sample is legit beautiful
0:23 Bro you kinda look like Karim Benzema
They actually both graduated 15 years ago. For more information google Benzema 15

Nosetalgia hits differently after Drake's beef with Kendrick and Pusha T
watching from Zimbabwe, i love this series.

Great video man this was really entertaining to watch. I usually find these longer breakdown videos boring but this was actually interesting.

Pause
Whoaaaaaaaaaa!!!! Had to pause the video after that Diddy line and gather myself 😂😂
Wow that plugin is so sick man. It's exactly what I need for sample chopping
never wouldve guessed bro would make a house track, fw this heavy
fireee broo, u should definitely do a madlib comparison
Funny you say that... coming soon

i unironically like your beat the most its so fire 🔥🔥🔥
5:16 just pitch the sample down using detune in serato instead of pitching up all the vst’s would be easier
True, but I think he was trying to keep the sample's tonality the same like in the original beat
Oiled up man Diddy had in he's basement is wild Navie 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 LOL...
14:11 I can hear The Weekend breathing ready to start singing to your version 😅
Man I love your channel. Thank You
The D# note is being pitch bent up and the guitarist is adding vibrato to it
As much as I love Nosetalgia as a song, today Navie you won this one! That beat is fire. Definitely 90's Daft Punk vibe. Great job!
Underrated channel, I don’t even make beats but this is awesome
You should do a video on how to make abstract beats like MIKE, Earl Sweatshirt, or Mavi

Bro yours was sick. Sounded like Toro. Throw FL Studio tutorial up for how you use serato with Edison like that!
I love this series. Getting both insights from two different brains
That diddy joke came out of nowhere bro that’s wild 😂
you made the catchiest beat unironically
Ha!!! Hilarious!! I’ve never listened to nor even heard that Travis mamacita record, nor have I listened to any of his music.. so proud of myself 🙌🏽🤙🏽

Mamacita for those perc chops alone.
The better beat for me is Nosetalgia but that's not a shot at Mamacita. Both are good.
You killed that
If Loving You Is Wrong was originally recorded by Luther Ingram in '72

I like the gorgeous sample (you showed me - Enoch light)
i like this series so much
The Diddy jab was HILARIOUS! Lol!!!!

he said he was making french house before even showing the beat, dead giveaway Lol
i must be dumb then
NavieD be making so dope beats
I don't know what french house is but that beat made me love it
Kanye's version is the best IMO but your version is the second best. Insane that you made a Cyberpunk'ish / Synthwave out of it.
Would be cool if you did a solo Nottz breakdown, to be fair to him as a GOAT. Dope as usual tho
The Diddy stray was actually very well delivered and unexpected 🤣🤣
Bro slid on Diddy outta nowhere. He had some anger in his heart on that one. 😂
I would love to see a schoolboy q breakdown of a song like John Muir or Kno ya wrong
I'll look into it
Mamacita! thanks I gotta mix this now
That sample sounds like the one that was used on Jay-Z song D.O.A. That one was produced by NO I.D.
Navie knows he's cold, that beat is fire man😭🔥💯
bro ngl it isnt hard to hear if something is off key. you dont need an AI tool to do it for you, you can just hear it. cmon now
You should do one for Baby Keem's "Naked Freestyle" and Metro Boomin's "Like That"
Plus Kanye's Eazy.
I love this series 😀
I'll sure as hell try out that granular synthesis technique, thanks Mister D!
I honestly thought new slaves ending on yeezus was the song Kanye used the sample. Glad I watched the whole video.
“I have no idea how to make French house” you had me at French house.
