This is the video I have been waiting for since lonerism
This is exactly what I thought when I saw this thumbnail
Still waiting for him to come back to the innerspraker and lonerism psych rock. Not that the new stuff isn’t good, but really? Those two records are still in my rotation.
@@LevelH34D glad to see that someone shares my thoughts, i kinda felt like i was the only one who wanted him to go back to rock
@@amaurylannes I'm with you as well. I don't rate Currents or The Slow Rush highly in regards of his other albums.
@@FishFullOfFeathers currents still had that psychedelic vibe, but I agree, he should try a psychedelic rock album next time
I'm a drummer and i love Tame Impala, this is so perfect for me!
So cool to know Kevin is also a big fan of Portishead. Yeah their beats are otherworldly.
By the way i can do the douple kick, i love that technique but... I have never figured out how to play that Good Times Bad Times beat, it's super tricky.
Pitchfork! You nailed it with this (and Thundercat’s on bass). Kevin and Thundercat are so engaging, informative, educational… THE BEST!!!
The whole video I was waiting for him to mention "New Person, Same Old Mistakes."
Such a satisfying beat and sound.
*Has thousands of dollars in sound equipment
Kevin: gimme dat phone
I am now obsessed with Silver Apples' 1968 album. Thanks, Kevin.
as he played and listened to each track, one after another, i could literally see how every single one of the ones he played inspired his playing lol. each one had bits and pieces of what he is as an artist except he turned it into a different sound all his own. one of my favorite artist for sure
