"I'm not going to watch the whole video and I'm not going to buy it as I already have the MB339" I decided. Well, wrong and quite possibly wrong again - it looks awesome!
I think it’s time for flight simulator to add a first person aspect two allow a player in first person, to walk up to an aircraft, walk around it, and climb into it. It would be cool especially with aircraft like this to be able to walk up to the aircraft, pull off pitot covers Or engine covers, and stow them, perform preflight inspection items, open doors, etc.
MSFS does sort of do this with the drone camera. It's possible to literally walk through an airport, to the plane, walkaround, through the jet bridge and on to the plane. Sure, the textures are often missing but you can do this.
This looks like a serious step up from the other military style jets in the game. Very cool! And although I know it matters very little, I do hope the release version has tire smoke on landing... 👀
You can always trust Just Flight to deliver a premium product. I wouldn't hesitate to buy their addons even without seeing a single review at this point.
No other military aircraft in MSFS has really peaked my interest as much as this one (and I'm not even British!). Maybe it was your airshow that did it. Hehehe... Seriously though, this one looks to be very well done and actual complete, unlike so many of the others that have been released.

A couple of points. When parked a Hawk is always left with flaps down (not here). Flaps down ensures the hydraulic oil levels can be read properly by the ground crew. There are 3 flap settings not 2 - UP - MID-DOWN. The HYD2 system is depressurised on start - when the reset button is pressed the yellow warning slight goes out more or less straight away. At the moment is is modelled much to slow for the CWP light to go out. Engine start - when selected, wait until 20% Nh is shown on the cockpit engine gauge before opening the HP / throttle. Monitor for ignition. The GTS shuts down at 45% Nh. Note the GTS does not provide any electrical power to the aircraft. After engine start, idle is about 45%Nh until you advance the throttle to close the SIFCU - Sub Idle Fuel Control Unit. This valve controls the fuel to the engine when starting. The SIFCU is closed by opening the throttle to 60-65%, then returning the throttle to idle - idle is 53-55%Nh. There is no powered nose wheel steering in a Hawk, turning when taxying is just by differential braking. As stated in the real Reds Hawks the lights on the panel only tell the pilot which smoke is selected. The smoke controls are via buttons on the throttle. The lines on the canopy are not 'wires' its MDC - miniature detonating cord - i.e. explosive linked to the ejection system. Once the seat ejection handle is pulled the MDC explodes, to shatter the canopy so that the pilot & ejection seat can exit the aircraft cleanly. The ejection seat is 'zero-zero' i.e. it can be used while stationary on the ground, the pilot being ejected high enough for the parachute to deploy. The pilots visible from the external view should be in red flying overalls during the flying display season (April to September). If 2 crew, for the Red Arrows the rear seat crew is the 'Circus' engineer, he will be in a royal blue flying suit. What do I know? Ex Red Arrows Circus ground crew.
HYD 2 CWP caption is fixed in the latest software. We include the option of either realistic steering (just differential braking) or a combination of differential braking and nose-wheel steering for convenience/ease-of-use. Castering nose-wheels are currently a bit broken in MSFS so we have the latter as default at the moment. We currently have the Red Arrows in the training rather than air show setup - standard green flight suits but Red Arrows helmets. The smoke can be controlled using the control stick controls as per the RAF manual but we've included the option of clicking on the smoke colour indicators as it's difficult to click on a moving stick in a simulation setting.
