    I’m surprised Cat doesn’t put the same new cab design that the joystick 120 come with on these 140/150/160’s. I always find the rear cab pillar blocks the view to my wing. Plus the 10” screen was so nice on the new D6 I ran. That and the joystick 120 cab has vent windows, something I don’t understand why they don’t have on the 140/150/160 cabs.

    My question is how can you maintain 4 Township's if there is a bad storm with two 150 M's and a Deere GP and a 2019 140H with one Operator ???

    • @graderman140m
      @graderman140m  6 месяцев назад

      I have a several other operators who help me on the first day after a storm get roads open then I just have to clean up so that’s how I handle it I do all the maintenance blading myself through

      I run traditional steel edges the same way I run with my carbide edges that 40 to 45 degree pitch.

      @@carlachambers3771 I wouldn’t say that at all I’m a firm believer if your a good operator you should be able to operate any control type I operate 4 different machines 2 joystick controlled machines one finger tip controlled machine and the other the conventional controlled machine I grew up learning on a cat 12 with the gear driven controls so I’ve run them all and if you give me the choice to spend a 12hr day I’m hands down picking my joystick controlled machine for comfortably and ease of control just my opinion and in all honesty if you don’t adapt to the new technology and equipment you will definitely be at a disadvantage to someone who does. Haha I hope your honesty joking by saying that I also operate a 2020 772GP for another township and the cat 140m3 or 150 will run circles around the Deere in my opinion the cat and Deere are very similar in the lower gears but for snow plowing the cat does way better in 7th and 8th then the Deere does.

    I’m interested in what kind of wax you use we just received our second 150awd a few weeks ago.
    Only issue so far is that air cleaner will suck up snow in the right conditions and plug up air filter. Cat has provided use with different air cleaner but without much snow this winter we didn’t have a good test.

      @graderman140m  6 месяцев назад +1

      I use the turtle spray on wax and then wipe it on and I gotcha once I got my new machines it stopped snowing so have to wait till next winter see if I have similar issues thanks for the comment and thanks for watching! Here is wax I use

      CAT gave us a flat cover so the engine sucks air from inside the compartment. We still get plugged filters sometimes so what we did was take some of that blue mesh furnace filter material and cut a hole the size of the intake pipe, then slide it over the filter intake pipe and put the flat cover on. Then trim the excess off around the cover. It pretty much eliminates the air filter plugging
