What a great looking unit and well deserved as I know and have seen the way you look after your machine and the Townships should appreciate what they have as far as an Operator and by letting you pick your Grader and what you need to make it work to your advantage sounds like they do appreciate you, stay safe from ( from Canada )
Ok im jealous now after operating for 30+years i did get to run a 140 before retirement loved it remember back cutting my teeth on an old Cat 12 mechanical machine when hydraulic blade came out i wasn't really impressed but they gained ground with me can't wait to see u running this blade congratulations
First blade I learned to operate was an old mechanical 120 so I know what your talking about it’s crazy the advancement they have made in graders over the years much more enjoyable to spend a 12 hour day in I’m excited to get some videos of this machine in action for everyone thanks for watching!
We all wish that at least a couple times in our career we have the chance to have a new piece of equipment. Really impressed with the way you speced it out to your personal needs for what must get done in your work environment. Good luck and congratulations on the new "ride."
I can definitely agree with you on that this will be my second brand new machine I’ve gotten in my operating career and have another new 150 coming this next week here. I’m very lucky the township allowed me to spec the machine the way I needed it to best suited me for my operation thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
It's a testament to your ability as an operator and as a technician that you're getting new equipment. I'm sure the supervisor's of the County Commissioner's Office understand that you take your work and stewardship of your equipment seriously. All the best in 2024. @@graderman140m
Dude, that’s a super nice machine. Looks like you really got a lot of nice additions to it, I really like the light package on that that LEDs really help out a lot. Look forward to seeing you operate it in the future.
Thanks Michael and yes they let me set the machine up the way I wanted it so very happy and yes the LED lights will make working after dark so much easier then with the old halogen lights thanks for watching!
New subscriber. As 30+ years as an operator ( mostly track hoe and dozer in pipeline field) very impressed with you talent skill set. Even after all these years still learn something everyday. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for subscribing i appreciate that and awesome I’ve got lot of respect for the guys on the pipeline crews they get stuff done and I’m happy to hear you think that about me main reason I do the channel is to help other operators out and hopefully can learn from my knowledge and my dad always told me the day you quit learning is the day you should quit thanks for watching!
I’ve been told we Went to cartridge style filters because they are easier to recycle ♻️ than a steel spin on, and they are more cost effective to produce which hopefully means lowered maintenance costs. And rest assured those housings are not plastic they are metal, you’ll need a 36mm socket on the bottom if memory serves me correct. Hope it’s performing well for you.
I heard the same thing if it works and doesn’t give issues I won’t mind it and thanks for the info I will definitely report back on the first service I’ve done a little blading with it so far really like it so far!
Nice Machine. After running a 140M3 for 8 years the county I work for got me a 770GP. The only thing I like better on the Deere is the transmission. Shifts way smoother in Auto mode.
Thanks and I will agree with you on the smoother transmission in the Deere when in auto compared to the cat otherwise I prefer the cat thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
That's an awesome machine can't wait to see how it hooks up and pushes some snow being a 150 what does that compare to the John Deere it looks like the size of a 77 2 really looks good can't wait to see some great videos like normal keep on pushing and enjoy 🇺🇸🚜😎
I’m excited to give it a good workout if we ever get any snow been really mild temperatures here and have been grading roads so no snow, the 150 compares to a 772gp Deere but in my opinion the 150 will out perform the Deere big time in the higher gears in the snow compared to the Deere in my opinion and will have plenty of videos coming of this sweet machine in action!
If they do a good job designing the cartridge style filters setup then to be honest I actually prefer them over the others. Like the Davco fuel filter setup that now come on most new semi trucks are actually pretty great and easy to change. It is also easy to see if the fuel is gelled up, dirty, or has water in it and you can get filters nearly anywhere. The fuel filter setup on my 2022 Deere 772g is pretty dumb in my opinion and a pain to change all 3 filters. It is also expensive to change and not hard to contaminate it either. It’s also nice to be able to see in a cartridge oil filter when you change oil to see if there is shavings or problems in the oil. But if they design the cartridge style poorly, then ya it’s not very fun.
I appreciate your feedback on your experience with the cartridge style filters I’ve had no experience with them on the cat but do have them on 2020 Deere 772 I operate and that’s what gave me a bad opinion on them so hopefully cat will be easy to change thanks for the info and thanks for watching!
@@graderman140m yep no problem and thanks for the great videos. I will admit on your new Cat it looks like to me they designed them not amazingly. It seems like cartridge filters work out easier and better when you actually flip them like upside down from a normal filter orientation and they have their own little built in drain. Also the plastic housing should have been clear as well so you can see in it.
How long take order from cat dealer and how much cost.nice set up for snowplow and front.you should tell dealers snowplow.i ran grader off on 30 years but this is nice.oil filters set up just dumb as before.i order lots stuff before i tried help serviceman and hd mechanic stuff like this cost more but save time long run.thanks video😊
It took 10 months for us to get our new machine this machine was 450,000 for everything you see and you’re welcome for the videos I appreciate everyone watching them thanks for watching!
@graderman140m you have actually helped me alot.. I've been operating the other machines but 6 months ago I started operating the Greader.. been loving it

wow that`s a sweet machine, I'm extremely Jealous , pretty much retired now after 43 years but miss running grader. are all your roads gravel, and how many miles of road do you maintain?.
Yes it suer is a sweet machine excited to put hours on it and happy retirement 43 years is a long time in equipment I’m on my 18th year so got a few to go to catch you and I don’t have any asphalt roads all gravel and between the 5 townships I do I maintain around 400 miles of gravel thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
We have 4 new 150 in our Rm and we don’t like them if u have hills they have way less power then the 140 and two of our cats front wheel assist doesn’t work and cat can’t figure it out good luck with your new grader
Sucks that your having bad luck with your 150’s they are the most popular model up my way. We’ve actually done head to head production studies against a 150AWD vs an 872GP and the 150 walked away from the Deere. Hope your dealer gets your AWD sorted.
Man that sucks that your having trouble with your new 150s I haven’t had much of an opportunity to test my new one out but hopefully it’s a great machine I hope your dealer up there can get your machines working like they should!
Nice unit...the 150 AWD seems popular in these parts of Manitoba Canada. Quite a few units sold around where I live!
Thanks and yes I’d agree with you on that the 150 is a very popular machine I love operating it so far thanks for watching!

Not a crown gauge, it's a slope meter
I’m sorry but it is a crown gauge it’s in % a slope meter is different. You want a crown gauge not a slope meter for shaping roads.
They STILL cannot make an oil fill neck on that machine. If i meet the gut that designed the filler i will have some words.
I definitely agree it’s sad they can’t figure that out hopefully someday they will change that.
Definitely spoiled.
Yes I certainly am spoiled it’s definitely nice having new equipment to operate makes the 12 to 15 hour days plowing snow a lot easier.
