    I learnt a lot from a good ole boy like you Vern northern Alberta e-con. I was cocky and the best till the ole boy proved I was less then average.

      @joeymay4053 the day we stop encouraging new bros, is the day we have no future bros.
      I'm a Carpenter, 30yo myself, and my crew gives me the gears all the time about "my generation"

    Would the circle be limited from going more than a full rotation due to hydraulic hoses for the side shift and blade pitch? Let me mention I am not a professional grader. I own a couple old Galion for personal use and are learning a lot from guys like you.

    • @onlyamillionmistakesvernky7937
      @onlyamillionmistakesvernky7937  Год назад

      Welcome to my channel, I'm not sure about a Galion, but the reason a Caterpillar circle can turn 365 degrees, is a component called the "Swivel" located on the top of the circle.

      @@onlyamillionmistakesvernky7937 Wow, continuous rotation. Life seems much easier with a newer grader. No getting out to loosen nuts and move pins. Thank you!

      the only ones that cant do this are the ones setup for gps as they rip the hoses off since they are in a different spot or something, my grandpa blew a line doing it on a topcon 140h

    Una vez quise hacer eso por una ocasión subi una cuesta como no pude ya darme la vuelta para bajar trabajando, intente bajar raspando con la cuchilla al revés asentada pero me di cuenta que las mangueras hidráulicas se templaban mucho me di cuenta de eso y no lo ise en su totalidad el giro con una cat 120k porque como dije se temblaban mucho las mangueras corría riesgo de que aya avería por la tensión ennla mangueras hidráulicas nose he visto vídeos que algunos logran acer ese giro pero en mi caso vi que se temblaban mucho las mangueras idrauicas

      From Spanish to English : Once I wanted to do that for one occasion I went up a hill and I couldn't turn around to go down working, I tried to go down scraping with the blade seated upside down but I realized that the hydraulic hoses were very warm I realized that and I did not I fully completed the turn with a 120k cat because, as I said, the hoses were shaking a lot, I was at risk of a breakdown due to the tension in the hydraulic hoses. I have not seen videos that some manage to make that turn, but in my case I saw that the hoses were shaking a lot. hydraulic hoses

      Hi MIGUEL, I've never encountered the problem of tension on the on the hydraulic hoses. The circle has a component called the "swivel", it should allow the hoses to swivel without tension. A hydraulic motor is used to turn the circle. Because hydraulic motors are inefficient, they will cause heat, but don't worry about it unless the hoses are too hot to touch. The 120K is a nice grader, and it Sounds like you are very cautious. Thank you for watching. PS: If you would like to tell a friend about this channel, just say, "Google Vern Kyle".
