Great work Scotty. Burnout sounded great, love that you didn't just bang it off the limiter the whole time like every other hillbilly does these days, great throttle and car control. I bet it was a blast!
Absolutely you need a burnout car Scotty 👌🏻 but please..... Please don't use a LS, Holden 308 / 355 in the old Torana that you got a while ago, or a angry 318 in Chrysler sigma, or AU Tickford windsor in Cortina. Something all Aussie built for a top Aussie bloke to compete in the best Aussie sport 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Ah yes. The VN 1 series coolant pipe fix. Fun fact for those that didn't have a VN as a kid. The 3.8 was originally transverse mounted in the car it came from (a Buick) and the VN was originally going to have the RB30 in it. The Aussie dollar went up hard against the yen so they RB30 became to expensive. So Holden had to quickly change engine for the VN only 18 months before it's release. The series 1 and 1.5 were both plauged with cooling issues due to these quick fixes to make the engine fit
Yep and then for ten years with the supercharged motor they never moved the thermostat from front wheel drive position like they did on all the na v6's.
It wasn't that bad, once you got the initial burp of air out the cooling systems ran fine. Had a VN s1 for many years and actually found it to be very reliable.
@ Hayden, There really wasn't much room to fit a thermostat at the front of the LIM on the L67 when North - South. If they did it would have had to come out right under the snout between serpentine belts. If you get the bleed procedure right, bleeding the L67 isn't that difficult, you just need a screw driver and a little patience.
@@BlownCommodores if they redesigned the lim with an extension from under the throttle body it'd make life much easier. It wouldn't have been hard to design one with a different thermostat placement. I've seen aftermarket Lim's going to m112 or m122 in other places. The screw driver method does work but honestly I like to gravity feed and burp them. 2 litre air tight container out the radiator with a couple small holes drilled through the thermostat is my go usual go to on any of the V6 charged or not.
There was a Commodore that didn't have cooling issues? Not sure how many times my brother has fixed head gaskets, hoses and radiators in the years he has owned them.
As a kid I always wanted to see this V6 supercharged in a RWD application. We had the Camaro, but it already had a V8. I always enjoy these Supermang videos! The supercharged V6 is better than I could’ve imagined as a kid.
Awesome job guys , went out & had fun that's what it's all about , & the old Supermang did well , she was never really setup to do that so I think we can forgive her 👍👍👍🇦🇺
No walls were harmed in filming this event. The car has emerged fairly intact, you have demonstrated just how tough this is on a car too And Scotty had a blast, this are well in the world
Good effort mate bad luck in that one... Should've done the old vaso on the quarter panels before your skid. Appreciate the red bonnet that was driving me around the twist.. c'mon 10s
Good to see you had a mad time Scotty. Shame a couple of things didn't go to plan but that's cars I guess. But it was all about the fun and there was plenty of it had and yes definitely build a skid rig
Another great vid.... old supermang wasn't really built for burnouts, so I think it did pretty good myself when the stroker is in it it will kill some tyres then I reckon.
Yeah, the old burnout problem... less air flow for cooling. I saw some people with regular street cars trying this and blew their radiators/cooling systems. I never had that problem with my Ford V6, even it had no electric fans. These engines have been called farmers engines because they weren't very powerful but last a long time with low maintenance when not been totally abused
Well done Scotty, she done alright… surprised she spun in the big boys rubber, I use to run with the illusion of horse power via fire extinguishers borrowed from 711….
Ancient L67 Versus Sustained Burnout? I reckon you did well considering its built for Drags Scotty. Big difference between 10 seconds down a dragstrip and 3 minutes of Go till you Blow tyre shredding............. Highlight for me? The Green VG Val on test day but im biased :-)
Awww man, shame about the damage to the body and the mudflap (told you to take it off lol) but jeez it sounds good for a 3.8 and looks like you had a good fun day.
I loved the final wrapup of the Dunnydore's performance being done in front of the Portaloos !! Was that intentional ?? Great Vid and keep playing with the Supermang !
@STREETMACHINETV Ahhh Grim! Can't really tell B series ute from an Au having only seen the rear. Scott if you do use the B series ute please 🙏 do not LS it.
Awesome work Scotty always love the content. Is there a way to hide the cutout on the vn bonnet to make it a full on sleeper or are the clearances that tight? Sorry if you have gone over this before.
@@STREETMACHINETV would you seriously think about doing a turbo setup on the Mang? I've seen some stout ecotech turbos pushing big numbers, might be a strong contender against the Barra.
The 4.2 is going to need a better radiator anyway, so it can't hurt to twist Telfo's arm until he agrees to pay for a triple-flow Aussie Desert Cooler rad and a couple of dirty big SPAL fans for this...
When you rev me like this and you touch the rev limiter like that it's all coming back to me. There where things I'd never do again ( shifter). There were nights of endless pleasure it was more than your laws allow . Ok I may have taken this a bit too far.
HI ALL Scotty never understood the burnout thing but hay the people are having fun good enough for me i don't have to understand she was sick lol lol so scottie the fastest car for Street Outlaws MX5 lets get it low low 6s ? thx buddy PLEASE show these Americans a real aussie made built street car that can run with them fuck there quick ? thx
Nothing's better to start a Friday with a bit of Carnage. Great to see you had Fun and she sure sounded sweet at full tilt. 🥳
Great work Scotty. Burnout sounded great, love that you didn't just bang it off the limiter the whole time like every other hillbilly does these days, great throttle and car control. I bet it was a blast!
Great work as always, mate. I reckon a Burnout-On-A-Budget build would be pretty cool, too.
🤘😎🤘
Wow! Can only imagine what the 4.2 will do to a few sets of tires! 😯
3800 is an Aussie icon. LS/Barra have been done to death. Love seeing what Scottie is doing with the VN!
VN very nothing
Absolutely you need a burnout car Scotty 👌🏻 but please..... Please don't use a LS,

Great to see the amount of fun that can be had on a reasonable budget. Good work Scotty.
Awesome stuff Scotty! Still looked like a heap of fun & you didn't destroy Supermang! Sounds great on full song!
Ah yes. The VN 1 series coolant pipe fix.

They're a good little engine that GM USA misused in FWD cars
@@STREETMACHINETV haha! Exactly. GM USA misused many many many things for decades.
Those drone shots 👍
Good job Scotty!
Ah, just the right thing for finishing night shift. Keep up the awesome work guys!!

Front bull bar reminds me of those flimsy old railings to hold onto when walking down the ladder steps of an 80s swimming pool
No walls were harmed in filming this event. The car has emerged fairly intact, you have demonstrated just how tough this is on a car too And Scotty had a blast, this are well in the world
The carnage vt Calais from awhile back would of been an excellent burnout car with the 5L. Maybe build something with a stout 355?
Yeah it would have been a good skid pig. Maybe we should have kept it.
@@STREETMACHINETV especially the prices of v8 holdens nowadays
Was great seeing you out there ..... thanks for the chat and photo at the fence while you were waiting to go out to 🙂
Thanks for coming and saying g'day
Wasn’t sure if that was Scotty, or Gary Myers’s out there, but geez, the mang can definitely handle a pounding (except for the hose 😂).
Well done scotty , solid as 15 years and hooked again, full send
Massive yes for dedicated burnout car for the channel!
This was great to see another sport well done for getting out there was great to see the sport done right and not on the streets
Well done Scotty you did great 👍
Thank you
Sounded bloody fantastic Scotty..
Never too old brutha to have skid mate good job 👌
Mang on Scotty... The old girl does a pretty good burnout 💨
The old vn rips.. it was impressive smoke for the little v6. Well done
It was a bit of fun whilst it lasted, now back to our scheduled programing; 1/4 mile mastery of Aussie Street Machines - 'Next Time on Carnage'
Scotty you done awesome with the skids super mang pumps out a fair bit of smoke for a v6 definitely got to see more in the future
Good effort mate bad luck in that one... Should've done the old vaso on the quarter panels before your skid. Appreciate the red bonnet that was driving me around the twist.. c'mon 10s
Well done Scotty, been 15 years and still went full send. You should build an AU skidder 😂😂😂
Holden all the way
great job Scotty, having a blowout with a blowout , stress factor sorted. 😁👍
Love this vid Scotty. Awesome change from the 1/4mile stuff. Lots more of this goodness please! Burnout car build on the channel?
Good to see you had a mad time Scotty. Shame a couple of things didn't go to plan but that's cars I guess. But it was all about the fun and there was plenty of it had and yes definitely build a skid rig
Love to see a burnout car build for something different? the super 6 skids pretty damn well 👌
Another great vid.... old supermang wasn't really built for burnouts, so I think it did pretty good myself when the stroker is in it it will kill some tyres then I reckon.
it's utter junk, my Falcon destroys both rear tyres in under a minute
Love how it just loves smashing gears 1st 2nd 3rd and on song 👌🏼👌🏼
Yep, it does it easy
It does make all the right sounds. 👍
If the hose didn't blow that would of been a great burnout ! Supermang does some pretty good skids though !
Paints lines pretty darn well on that sticky pad.
Great work Scotty, mangatude to the VN!
It was a good effort Scotty, she would be proud.
That VG val is off its chops. good to see some mopar stuff in ausland
I've knocked off work, got a beer and now it's time to watch Scotty rip some skids. Happy friday!
Yes a dedicated burnout car 🤙🤙🍻
Absolutely awesome can we get more burnout content? Maybe a budget build burnout car series?
Hey Scotty, tip if you skid it again is take the fan relay out and short it to run constantly unless you can do it on the computer?
We can adjust the fan cut in speed through the ECU
Well done Scotty this looks like a lot of fun you need a burnout car mate
Did The Mang proud brutha!👏
Love it, sounds freakin' sick too!
Awesome as up the gears Stab and steer well done.

It has no trouble turning the tyres, that's for sure but yeah all the rubber can make things harder for the "horsepower challenged"
Mate you did great, top effort!!! mang the fkn world!!
Nice work Scotty.
I would be shiting myself too ,it's not easy.
It's way harder than anyone gives these guys credit for.
Love ya work Scotty, always willing to have a crack, keep it up mate 👍
Please build a supercharged Barra burnout car.
Something different, and awesome content.
Loved every second of this video!
There's a couple already
@@STREETMACHINETV make it both turbo and supercharged 😌
@@brendanwilson8977 that’s a bit wild haha too much for a barra
Nothing but a smokin' burnout for a Friday morning, Scotty style fry those tyres Carnage way.

That first test skid I thought you were gunna tip it into the wall. 😱

I am predicting "on this episode of carnage we are building a burnout car
Not unless we get alot of people calling for it, and there hasn't been so far

Haha, it was just where we pitted
0:26 " We bake Fresh Daily " / " Hand Crafted " / Fire Hose Reel . Just what kind of ice do you have down there?
Put a switch on the alternator and top off the tank! that sound is so maddenning
Maddening, as in good. Right?
Scotty that Au ute I keep hassling you about that was in the garage at your house prior to the spicy cough. Now that could be a sick skid rig.

Once we settle on a combination we'll deal with the hole situation
I left a comment with Fullboost on their latest NOMANG video that they should drag race Supermang. That would be an Aussie classic 👍
