The Lexen is the ultimate sleeper in my mind - 11.7 from something that looks like my Uncle would drive is definitely stunning! Well done on completing the event with almost no issues Scotty!
That was such an enjoyable episode. I love how natural Scotty is and happy to have a laugh at himself at times. Btw that has a really nice note to it!!! I think Street Machine evolving into these sort of events that historically were more “Wheels” events is a great thing! So much variety of cars. Cannot wait to see next episode of Grimace!!!! PS please stock up your merchandise shop I want a Street Machine hoody for winter.
Awesome, you're a legend Scotty! It's amazing to think the UZ engine was designed in the 1980's and started production in 1989. That period going into the 1990s, the Japanese were on fire building heavy breathing, high rpm engines using quality materials.
Well done Scotty and everyone else who's helped put the beast together. And it's great to see these sort of events to give people somewhere to enjoy their cars in a safe way and not on the streets of "Mexico"
Good thing about those 17 inch SS wheels is you should be able to squeeze some 14 inch two-piece rotors and 6 piston monoblock calipers under them, let you do plenty of hard laps without overheating them and going off...
I wouldn’t say no to having the lexcen as my daily drive! This is the perfect sleeper as Scotty really did it justice in his build and design on this car. Brilliant performance overall brother 👊💪👌👍
I see that as your hair grows back, your superpowers return. Getting your locks removed last year and everything g that could go wrong, did. 240kph is pretty fast for a Sunday go to church wagon.
I've got an underdriven pulley on the alternator, but I think I need to engage the burnout limiter next time. The alternator really doesn't like spinning to 7000rpm
The wagon is going great! I wonder if some vx clubsport brake / swivel hub would fit? I've swapped standard vx front end into a vr ute before and went well.
Great vid guys, Scary how quick 240 giggles p/hour down the straight turns into 480 puckers a second at the corner when it feels like you stepped on fresh dog shit instead of a brake pedal! 😬
Love your work as always Scotty & well done on track! The Lexcen is one of my favorite Carnage cars, has been since you got it. It looks like it's just so much bloody fun! You really need to get the grandpa spec sunvisor and blinds for it haha, that's make it properly sleeper haha. Keep up the great work mate and can't wait for the next one!
Love you Scootie hunny !!! You did look nearly as sacred as when the toxic avenger blowed up ! Love to see Pro driver in the Lexcen, but a big break kit may be good idea first !
mate luv the channel aye maybe just a stupid idea some time in the future do a video on all the crew and back story of how we get to watch all the greatness coming from a father who also has a special need child I do really appreciate all the work that goes into the channel just a thought
other than the GM transmission and after market electric brake booster the Lexcen is a genuine TOYOTA Australia vehicle, I know that several Toyota workshops are watching the series and they are all saying the same thing, wish that Toyota had made this back in 90's when Toyota had access to these vehicle down the production line, going head to head against the Commodore with its GMH 4.9L V8 and Ford with the 302ci Windsor in the Falcon the Lexcen with a Quad Cam 4.0L would have shat on both of them, that said putting such a high tech engine in this chassis was a no go due to costs back then but at least Scotty has shown Toyota what could have been. Just thinking that the only thing that could match this would be the EF Falcon XR6 wagon but it would need turbo to be bolted on and Commodore SS wagon (which I think never happened in VN/VS series)
They did advertise is pretty heavily, but best bet is keep an eye on the Optima Ultimate Streetcar Challenge website. Google will point you the right way
Fun got banned in QLD many moons ago. Outside of cooly rocks, and Greazefest, there’s not even that many quality car shows to attend, except for the events out at willowbank 😢
Scotty mate well done buddy, just imagine if you had real good tyres as well, instead of the normal st tyres radials, all she needs now is good pads track type brake pads with extra rubber anti squeal shims as well to stop the pig squealing noises she will make without the shims. Cant wait till we see her do 10's that would be amazing. Well done Scotty. keep it up buddy. 👍✌👌🦘
Okay, It looks like I came second in the unofficial wagon class to a Subaru Liberty wagon (who came second in the JDM/ Tuner class). He beat me in every event except the drags where I ran an 11.76 to his best of a 13.3, but yeah there were a few quick wagons on the day, so that makes me feels better

1:36 how scary is it that the year 1999 is classed as vintage now! 😂😂😂
Thanks for the content guys
Cheers Pat
I know, right
The look of pure joy on your face at the end says it all. That's cars for you.
That wagon can boogie! 150mph
The Lexan is the ultimate combo of power, utility and versatility. Sleeper by day. Fun times by night. Great job Scotty. 👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘

The Clayton's Commodore! Love it! The Commodore you have when you're not having a Commodore. Actually more powerful and reliable 😂

They're a great engine. I would like to do another one at some point, even bigger and better.
Excellent event Scotty, was glued to the screen from start to finish, and a great build to be proud of!
Not a wild Adrian Portelli in the background @1.22 hahaha
It was his McLaren
Awesome work Scotty! It's great to see the build doing well overall, and even better to see you enjoying yourself!
5:23. That’s a Porsche for ya!!! WILD oversteer
i said the same to myself, its a fine line with those things!
16:38 scotty all that work, sounding bloody beautiful
Man Scotty, that looked like sooo much fun. The mighty Lexan-adore ran superb. You should be proud mate. Really well done!
Well done Scotty and everyone else who's helped put the beast together. And it's great to see these sort of events to give people somewhere to enjoy their cars in a safe way and not on the streets of "Mexico"
Brilliantly done Scotty, love the wagon. Thanks for sharing 👍
Good on you Scotty, looks like your hard work has paid off. great viewing thanks
I was watching go down the straight and thought that looks bloody fast ! and 240 Km/h is on the screen well done
That was hooking on the straight. Well driven.
Looks awsome mate! Well done!!
Excellent job Scotty. Mate you were having fun! I can't wait to see more of the Lexcen!
well done Scotty you looked so proud of yourself mate and you deserve it and all the team that helped along the way..
6th in class and 23rd overall. I was happy considering the lack of seat time in the car
Good thing about those 17 inch SS wheels is you should be able to squeeze some 14 inch two-piece rotors and 6 piston monoblock calipers under them, let you do plenty of hard laps without overheating them and going off...

Well done Scotty and everyone involved sounded like a weapon down the straight
Scotty is one of the most stoked cnuts ever, living his dream and loving it - Go bro
Awesome vid Scotty. Absolutely spewing i binned the yacht on lap one but was still a fantastic event. Cheers
Yeah, sorry to see your beast damaged, but it'll be back
Thanks for you support on the day mate. Blokes like you make this car culture thing awesome. Cheers
I see that as your hair grows back, your superpowers return.

240kph is pretty fast for a Sunday go to church wagon.
We'll have to start calling him Scotty Samson 😂
Would have been wild if toyota did release a V8 option for the lexcen
Straight from Ford Performance Vehicles😎
Sweet as Scotty. I am enjoying following along
What a awesome video must more entertaining the drag video.
So funny seeing the wagon on the track and sounds so good 👍. Well done Scotty 👏
Awesome stuff Scotty well done mate looks like a great event. 👌 😎 🔥
I’m thinking with the alternator , it either needs an under drive crank pulley or an oversized alternator pulley .
Love that car 👌🏽
I've got an underdriven pulley on the alternator, but I think I need to engage the burnout limiter next time. The alternator really doesn't like spinning to 7000rpm
I am so jealous I wasn't there. Looked like such a awesome car show.
The wagon is going great! I wonder if some vx clubsport brake / swivel hub would fit?
I've swapped standard vx front end into a vr ute before and went well.
Yeah I might need to look into that.
99 vintage i was 9 😢33 years old now felt my age at that point wow times have changed
It’s a credit to you and the channel Scotty awesome machine!!!
She sounds so good full song down the straight 👌
Killed it! one of My favourite episodes. is it time to fix some of the weaknesses and bring it up to a level it should be perhaps?
That looked like real fun mate!
I haven't watched yet but I'm really interested to see how the new suspension from Shockworks go 😊
Great vid guys,
Scary how quick 240 giggles p/hour down the straight turns into 480 puckers a second at the corner when it feels like you stepped on fresh dog shit instead of a brake pedal! 😬
Looks like a great event for "real" street cars, not the western Sydney type of "street" cars
Excellent 👍

Needs bigger brakes
Sick, hopefully they do it again next year would be keen to give it a go

Nice one Scotty, gotta love a Lexus V8!
Isn't out of a Soarer?

This is the main thing I do in the States.... plastic fantastic tew on the innerwebs... aka 1976 Corvette with a 427 bbc and LOTS of mods.
Sounds awesome
@@STREETMACHINETV it's a lot of fun - quite a bit different then your version (no drag race) but still, fun
"you can carry all your mates in it, carry all your gear with it..."
Drag challenge when?
Awesome mate
Cool event could see myself in my boosted 45psi ATM old twin can rodeo

Good on ya for trying out something different Scotty, how do you inquire about being apart of this event, something I’d love to do
They did advertise is pretty heavily, but best bet is keep an eye on the Optima Ultimate Streetcar Challenge website. Google will point you the right way
@@STREETMACHINETV thanks Scotty
Does anyone know if they do something similar to this in QLD? I'd be down to get out there ASAP!
Fun got banned in QLD many moons ago. Outside of cooly rocks, and Greazefest, there’s not even that many quality car shows to attend, except for the events out at willowbank 😢
Wagon is a weapon!
Ultimate fun

Most fun this year for sure
Where’s the shop? I’ve got a 5.0 VS Stato needs some love.

Would love to enter an event like this, cmon NSW put something on, Did the car have to be road registered or just have blinkers / horns / lights etc?
Road registered, but the outlaw/pro class can be unregistered
You have the best shocks you can get
#SHOCKWORKS
Goes, stops, and turns? Scotty for 2025 Summernats Grand Champion?
love for you to throw greg murphy in this thing for a hot lap ,damn it sounds awesome
Would need a roll cage and harrops on the front at least.
19:13 Top speed for my old LS400! (So I'm told)
Were the thermo fans working Scotty?
Yep
Looked like a blast shame about Calder looking like shit though needs the Lance Warren treatment 👍
150mph + Holden Bonnet = Need for discreet bonnet latches...........
How much? I’ll register her in SA and bring her to Adelaide.
How did you fare in the unofficial wagon class? Quickest long roof?
I'll have to check

woohoo
What’s with these comments?
I feel like I should be wearing a dinger😮
This went way too good for a carnage vehicle and the most you could do is get the engine too hot. C’mon, Scotty, try harder 😂

🐠🤘
toyota tough.
Beauty products they need it to see what white girl they can look like this month😅😅😅
Street car? Let's see you get a road worthy certificate for it. 😂😂😂😂
The same could be said for most modified cars
Let's see you get one of these allegedly street cars engineered. Just to show what is needed to be legal. Would make a good series....
TBF, it's Australia - a lot of states you'll be lucky if you can get a RWC if you breath on it a bit funny.
@@Beer_Dad1975not quite. It's just annoying to get door seals when they are knocked back etc.
No such thing as a RWC in SA. Of course cops can defect you but it doesn't need a yearly inspection to stay on the road.
sorry scotty calling 59.8 sub 60 is like calling centura doing 9.999 1/4 a 9 sec car
Which it is...
