It's great you show your failures, it makes the triumphs even better. Too many channels just show all the glory. Awesome work Scotty, 700 is impressive !
Congrats to you, the team & the sponsors for making the T3 Lexcen. Toyota should have made a 1UZ version at the time. Things would have been different. I see Scotty that you're still chasing after the elusive Dunlop deal for the KT26's.
If Holden let Toyota run a 1uz it would have completely embarrassed the Holden 5 litre of the day by a big margin. But also it would have been very very expensive as the 1uz was engineered for the high end Lexus models like the ls400
@@anthonysimoes7307 The 304cid had run it's day by the VR & the LS1 was still some time away. Holden under the UAAI would have been better off with the 1UZ as it was easy to modify. Cheaper, well that's hard to say but I'm sure Toyota Australia would have found a way to produce it.
Great job Scotty, don’t be to disheartened, thanks for the advice in Skid Row when I was sh-in😢 myself in Tuff Stato’s our 1st Skid worked out great, thanks again and it was nice meeting you, Paul, Cars n Things Restos.
What eveyone forgets is this motor is completely stock including stock cast pistons and intake manifold and heads making 700+hp at the tyres out of 4ltrs of engine capacity. Only mods being ARP bolts and Kelford cams and valve springs and larger ring gaps. Can't run large boost at low revs due to high cylinder pressures which destroys cast pistons.
Great to finally see this fantastic sleeper. In most of your builds, there is a target competition or show and if you had more help, it would not be down to the wire without proper testing. Most of the time it is out of your control. Regardless, your builds are always worth waiting for. Keep up the great content.

@@Low760 I want to agree but can't fully. Yes a big top end number is just a wank if you have no bottom end, but in Scotty's defense people are doing burnout after burnout on the same spot so it is not the same thing as doing a burnout in the local car park in your v6 ecotec (which is only marginally smaller in cubes). On top of which if the convertor is too tight it is not going to get into a rev range to make the turbo work. @@3800TURBO yes but you need to get the engine to 4700 rpm for it to make that, it didn't look like he could get it above a couple of thousand before traction pulled the engine down. You aren't trying to hold the car back with the brakes once the light turns green. Once it launches it is free to rev as fast as the power / weight will allow it.
