Happy New Year all! I hope 2025 treats you well 🌟 Progress is progress no matter how big or small! People sometimes expect too much and expect to see a crazy amount of improvement. So some people may feel they aren’t getting better as fast as they “should” be. Everyone learns at different paces. Don’t compare yourself to anyone’s progress but your own. Be proud of yourself 🤘🏻 Quick backstory: I’m self taught. I played for 2/3 years when I was young. Stopped playing for 5 years. Started playing again late 2019. Started posting covers on YT in 2020
PLEASE KEEP PLAYING AND UPLOADING I started out 20 years ago using tabs and I still learn something new every time I pick up my Les Paul. You have an ear for the melody and the phrasing and it shows in your recordings. None of us will ever be the next Hendrix, Clapton or Van Halen, but it's clear to see you love to play, so play- We love to hear you. And if anyone ever puts you down, it's because they are jealous of your obvious talent. Don't ever let anyone tell you how to play your guitar. Rock on, my girl.
I love watching to your covers. You look so completely at ease while playing. Love it. Your progress is so encouraging I have played for less than a year and it is the most fun I ever.
great to see your progress and improvement in your guitar playing technique, and to see so many songs performed by you in great form and with passion for music. Happy new year, feliz año 2025!. Greetings from Chile! 🤟🏻🎸
☆Selamat Tahun Baru 2025 juga untuk SpaceFrogMogg.Semoga Tambah Success dalam Bermusiknya.Semoga bertambah banyak jumlah pengikutnya.Semoga diberi Kesehatan & Kekuatan Oleh Allah agar bisa tetap terus Berkarya.Keep on Grunge Girl☆💙
Nice video SF. 🐸🐱 Ps: your Ginger Cats name can be... "Arthur Rusty". I combined the ideas. Im pretty pleased with that one. 🕺🏻 Happy 2025 to You and Your Family. Its going to be a GREAT YEAR! 🎉
Excellent progress! I’ve been watching your vids from the beginning, and you’re coming along quickly. What’s the very last song you play here? I really dig that one!
I’ve played easy songs from the beginning but always gone out of my comfort zone to play songs that are harder for me. It just so happens that the “complicated” songs from the beginning are the songs that were out of my comfort zone. Which is probably why they’re my worst sounding covers, which is why they were picked for the video! This video shows 20 covers out of 400 on my channel. I still play songs I think are complicated! I just didn’t pick them for this video. I picked covers that show I’ve improved with my timing, fluidity, lead playing and tones etc. There’s so much more to being a better guitarist than playing complicated stuff!
Absolutely! I was gonna post my own songs a few years ago but one of my subs informed me that someone was pretending to be me in discord and were posting all my covers so it put me off releasing my own stuff. That was years ago though. Pretty sure I’ll be posting my own stuff soon even if it’s just demos
@spacefrogmogg Dang I've been playing for two years self taught and I don't know if I should be disappointed or motivated in my self😅. Also do you know any theory or do you just cover songs?
@Genn_7 don’t be disappointed I didn’t really know too much in the first two years either, still don’t now if I’m honest 🤣. Theory wise I know the names of basic chords, I can name bar chords but only counting my way up to them on the E string. I know the minor pentatonic scale. I can read tabs. That’s probably the most complex theory stuff I know Many people have their own views on this but I don’t think you need theory to be able to play the guitar. Kurt Cobain, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan all didn’t know guitar theory yet they’re considered the best guitarists in the world. You know when something sounds good - that’s how you make good music. And if you’re just doing covers and not your own stuff there’s plenty of guitar lessons out there ti teach you. So to me theory is the last thing on my mind. I do go out of my way to learn new bits of information every now and again but I forget it most of the time
Happy New Year all! I hope 2025 treats you well 🌟

@spacefrogmogg have you considered writing original music and/or releasing an album?
