I had an 87 turbo II years ago, loved it! Mine had straight pipe with HKS dual exhausts and about 250 HP. That was quite a lot for that era.
6'5 feet and daily one of these. Mine is totally stock though, no mods.
yesterday i just bought my 90' turbo 2 !!! it needs a little bit of restoration but it will be back on the road in no time. (i also have an 93 fd!! ) i just love rotaries

I bet you where having the best of your life,while driving that Turbo 2. Trust me I had 4 of them and those are my favorite vehicle. Well I have one while I'm texting you but I just build my engine, I'm just waiting to have a full body work and paint. I will post a few pictures before and after. I had an 88' Turbo with a Racing Beat full exhaust and boost turned up with a homemade bleeder valve lol
Never dynoed it but was probably about 260hp. Ran a 13.7 @ 101 in 1995 which was really fast for the time!
I used to have an S4 Turbo II, now I am looking for an S4 NA for reliability. A Street Port NA with the right mods can get 180-200whp at ease.
Rotaries are awesome man I use to have a White Series 1 79 Savanna had nice body kit, modded exhaust, haha was funny when I was riding in back of it one day though im a 6 foot guy they are so crammed in the back...
This makes me want to fix and paint my 1989 GTUs. I miss driving it.

Fb’s are fine for taller people in my opinion. I’m a little over 6’4 and I fit just fine in my fb my legs have to be bent a little but it’s weirdly not uncomfortable..

I remember reading something about a few of the last S5's being sold with the 13BREW engines, maybe they were test mules for the FD just before it's release or something.
From what I could ever find that was only in Japan and might of been some of the efni’s but I could never find anything other then rumors on that...

chris mutter intake is not, it is an fd intake. It should say that at the bottom, the rest is factory TII

My 88 s4 vert is a bit cramped being a convertible it robs a lot of room from behind the seats.

I had a turbo ii 10 ae, and an 88 turbo ii, ya I was an addict for a few years. I was leaning to the v8 conversion before the 10ae got in a accident. Turbo rotaries are awesome. Nothing compares the way the power is

I had the 87 turbo..black with terracotta interior...no pwr steering and no antilocks...it was a missile,,had variable boost and HKS exhausts.
1st time i turned up the boost, it fried the stock clutch, up in smoke.. afterwards with a new clutch ,it was screaming, but ultimately I cranked boost too high and the seals blew...yeah the day u go to crank it and the engine sound odd cause theres No compression! I replaced the block, brand new from mazda, broke it in carefully and paid attention to the boost this time.. yet in the end , some damn debris stuck under my throttle linkage and made it stick wide open on me ...fishtailing out of control, it rolled a few times after hitting the cub and ended upside down roof partially crushed...totalled...sold on ebay for peanuts...yeah, my new block and all.. after that I was in hell for a yr having to drive a dodge caravan till i got a probe gt as a replacement.. the memories!
first year of the turbo came out in 87, not 86.

I drove one yesterday, car looks nice, but its very different from cars i drove, but mostly i felt very big ? Inside. Didnt felt much comfortable in thst small space and im skinny 180cm guy.. Not still sure if i will buy it..plz help. (Not american)
Is a '88 Turbo with 178hp still a Turbo II? I mean it says on the intercooler. But why it got -20+HP?
89+ has higher boost and I believe higher compression rotors. They're also a bit heavier. The 87-88 motor is just as capable, just less boost stock.

I might pick up an fc, but i really want an fb or fd, but they're hard to find in my state. A lot of dumbasses rn are selling na fc s4 salvage title, not running, in really shit condition for like 4-5k. The turbo 2 when it was new really didn't impress a lot of people when it was stock. So i honestly can't see myself paying t2 prices for one rn. I hate the rx8 but at this point if i can't find an fb or fd i might have to just go with an 8.

How to get this shirt with anatomy of 13?
Back in the days my rich buddy had a Turbo 2 but it looked way different under the hood than in this video. His had a small either radiator or air charger under the scoop. He always told me it was a gas chiller so was he right and what model did he actually have. It did have dual exhaust too?
0:45, Turbo II is not the fastest/best fc. All series 5 Savana turbo's are slightly quicker, along with being a series 5, not a series 4, meaning nicer/newer interior, cosmetics etc. They're the ones you want, but like the Turbo II, theyre hard to find.

BocaChevy I've driven a 87 with sunroof, fc is definitely the biggest and was not bad but my s13 fits me better

4:45 bruh superchargers are supposed to help make power down low and turbochargers make high end torque 😴
5247live superchargers make low end torque being that they are driven from a belt on the crankshaft and a turbo is ran from your exhaust manifold. turbos make horsepower more than they do torque
I think with a rotary engine a turbo does help down low, all of the engine cycles happening at once and stuff so they really come alive with a turbo. I've never driven one but that's what I keep hearing and even Jay Leno said it.
For sure they help later on in the power band, but also early on because it builds up so much so early
