  • An audio excerpt of the back six bells being rung down at Windsor Castle following from the long touch of Grandsire Triples from my visit here on 01/01/2024
Windsor Castle hangs anticlockwise hard going peal of eight, which are rung from the Curfew Tower. The bells are challenging to ring due to lots of factors such as the frame, the long draft, and not much maintenance on the bells. This makes good ringing difficult to achieve. However, if the bells are rung faster, then then it is much easier to perform good ringing. For me, it was worth the challenge as I wanted to achieve some nice ringing on New Years Day. The ringers there were very welcoming and I was pleased to have been invited on such a special occasion. Also, I was accompanied by one of my ringing friends, James Joynson, who also has a RUclips channel and was very kind to me. The link to his RUclips channel can be found here: / @jamesjoynson Enjoy the video!
