KitchenAid Dishwasher Leak - Building & Installing a Custom Drip Pan to Prevent Future Damage

  • So our brand new KitchenAid Dishwasher started leaking, and almost ruined the hardwood floors in our kitchen. Whirlpool (KitchenAid) knows about the issue, and sent someone out to replace the heating element and repair it. Unfortunately, I don't trust that it won't happen again, so let's build a pan underneath that will catch the water from any future leaks without causing more damage.

    This is exactly what I was considering doing now that my dishwasher has developed a slow leak and is waiting on parts. Thank you for making a very detailed video pointing out some great design ideas. Super simple and inexpensive.

    I will never buy Kitchen aid again I spent $3300 on 4 appliances and within 1 year of the expiration which was 2 years all 4 appliances died, I have Asko, Subzero, and Wolf now
