Hello. I want to thank you for your instructions on this pattern. I've managed to make a shawl using your video. First pattern I've tried on my Rigid Heddle. Thank you 😊
I see that you wrap the warp on the rod a little differently than I’ve seen before. Do you find that helps give more even tension? (I simply bring the warp over/under the rod. I think it seems you do a “loop” to switch which direction the warp comes from. It looks like that helps secure it to the rod a little better). I hope I’m making sense!
I thought the same. When the end of the yarn is under the bar, you lift it up and create a loop behind the bar before grabbing the yarn to draw through. You’ve then got the yarn wound around the bar as that loop is being drawn through.
Please can anyone help me? I am doing this like you are but I don’t know whether to end the warp in a color sequence or if it has to be done in the full repeat. That will leave me 6 ends of a different color at the end.

Awesome tutorial. Going on to section 3 now. Thank you
What size is the warp and the weft?

Hello T Secord,
I think it is the same as what you do I just might fumble over it :)
Happy weaving :)

What is the
width and length of your warp?
As it's a twill do you need a floating selvedge thread?
Yes I forgot them
Thanks 😘
What thread are you using for warp? For 10-dent heddles, will 8/4 cotton work? I'm really appreciating your tutorials.
I used a fine #1 sock yarn.
Will this chart of threading work for a straight 2/1 twill pattern as well?
Sorry I have no idea :-/
You use kromski table loom?
I have a schacht and an Ashford.
Great video series, but that music in the background is annoying
I know.
Only time I had to make the videos was when my little guy was sleeping. #momlife
