This was a very informative video for someone that wants to know how to adjust 3 or 4 shaft drafts to work for a rigid heddle loom. Thank you for this and also for the PDFs. They are very handy as well.
Hi. I really enjoyed your patient step by step videos. At the moment I am weaving 3 shaft diamond twill on a Schacht Flip loom with two heddles. Front up, back up, both down. There is a difference in the heddle blocks between the Schacht Flip and the Ashford you are using. With the Schacht the down position puts all the heddles together, slid to the back under the heddle block. So it is definitely not possible to have any heddle up while another is in the down position. The back heddle can be in neutral while the front is in down, but the front heddle cannot go into neutral with the back heddle in down. So the best option for converting multi-shaft drafts with complex tie ups on the Schacht involves making all shafts lifted. There are 3 slots for heddles, so I have been using 3 heddles and a pick up stick. This also makes any tie up or lift plan possible. I thought you might like to know that the Schacht works a little differently. (Also, sadly... iWeaveit does not seem to be available for Android OS, at least not in my region.)
Thank you for this helpful video! I recently downsized and sold my floor loom; now deciding whether to get a RH or a table loom. Looks like the RH may be versatile enough for my needs. I already have iWeaveIt, so I’m glad it will come in handy for this, too.
This was amazingly helpful. I have been looking for a good video explaining how to translate 3 shaft drafts to a rigid heddle for days. Thank you so much for this video!
you all probably dont give a damn but does anyone know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost my account password. I love any assistance you can offer me
@Zaire Callan Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank you for this instructive video. I have a question though: I have no warping board, So how do I have to warp the loom directly? Because there are in total more than two threads per slot. Thank you.
On IWeaveIt, for a 3 shaft draft can I make a color pattern first? And will the program automatically place thread colors in the warp and a weft sequence?
you can add the colors to the pattern. I don’t think it will automatically put them in the conversion. I would suggest you use a pencil color to draw the threads to keep track of them.
After re-watching this, I have a question: After drawing the threading guide you counted the threads and said something to the effect that you will use a 8-dent, than you counted four, and said "four eight so that comes out correctly." I don't understand this part. Could you please explain?
Finally! The BEST explanation of rigid heddle conversions!!!!
Thank you. This makes multi shaft weaving on the RH loom much easier to understand and actually do.
You are a WONDERFUL instructor/tutor! If there's a weaving heaven, this would be it! Thank you!

This was one of the best videos I've seen on threading my RHL. Thank you so much! :)
Thank you so much for the PDF’s and for all your clear explanations.🥰

that is too bad that Schacht loom does that. I am glad you found a work-around.
Thank you for this tutorial, you explain it so clearly and I understand now!

Thank you so much you saved my ass!
@Santiago Chris you are welcome xD
Absolutely priceless information. Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Hi there. I am a newbie thank you for taking the time to explain to us. I somewhere now. Take care
What a great video 💟 your video makes it very clear, totally understandable. Thank you so much and thank you for the template 👌
Thank you!!This is a very useful lesson for me!
Hello from Russia!🌷🌷🌷🌺🌺
Beautiful tutorial, thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you

I think I was counting pairs of slot and holes. Since they alternate, then 4 pairs will be 8 warps. Good question: I should have been clearer on that.
This was so helpful, thank you so much! :)
So helpful!
Awesome job 🙏
Thank you so much!!!!!!!
