Wow, awesome. Def sounds closer. And quite honestly, it saves me some money because I wanted the Meraki but with this close, I'm just gonna make a preset and live with it.
They’re really both great…but if budget and board space is a constraint, definitely something to consider. Analog purists would say no contest, but when you need a powerful multi delay with lots of tweakability, the LVX is hard to beat!
@@thepedalcollaborative yea, since I've had my LVX it's hard to justify anything taking its place. That being said, I have an El Cap on the way cause it just sounds so good but honestly, I could prolly come reallyyyyy close with the Meris.. Did you see that Ambient Endeavors demo of the Genks delay or whatever it's called? It sounds soooooo good.
@13aphomet the elCap is such a wonderful pedal. Simple and solid! Used it for many many years. Haven’t tried the new V2 but I’m tempted 😂 I did not see that new delay. I’ll go check it out. Always enjoy videos on that channel! Thanks for the recommendation!
@@thepedalcollaborative Honestly I'd say I am a bit of an analog purist, I love the sound of BBD (if you ever get an EAE Sending V2 I would love to hear you attempt that) however, I really do think there is something incredible about how close the LVX can get while being capable of attempting the sound of many other delays, AND it also obviously has a wealth of choices for those that want to create their own unique sounds - many of which no other delay can do.
@lgrcallum I hear you! The analog pureness is warm and gooey and amazing! This LVX has so many creative paths within its really something unique! I’ve been keen on getting a Sending V2 just haven’t had the privilege yet! Hopefully soon 🤞
The LVX is sounding very good! It seems to me the MERAKI repeats are at a lower level when they begin and die more quickly (less build up). Maybe slightly less feedback and mix at lower level? I wish there was a parameter that controlled the decay curve of the repeats (more exponential vs more linear)- I am not sure there is such a thing.
Thanks for the tip! There isn’t a parameter for the decay curve unless it can be achieved via the modifiers. Not totally sure though. Meris could probably add it though in a firmware update!
Great comparison and close, but I think the important thing is Meraki sounds much more open when e.g. 15:00 is compared to 16:35. May sound silly, but I think that is the part that might be hard to achieve if possible at all? I'd use it for synths and you'd get a very different stereo and room structure for sure. Besides usind less Mix and more Feedback you could add a little room reverb on the wet signal only. And that is where maybe the Meraki makes more sense to someone, because you have to tweak a lot stuff and then if you're like me and want to tweak the delay while plaing you'll get a totally different experience with both units. Thats why we always need "both of them" 🤣
There's a reason the LVX stays on my board. I absolutely love it! The Meraki (and all the other delays I've tried) is truly great and well worth the attention! I've always been a multi-delay person. Line6 DL4 Mki, Boss DD-20, Timeline...they've all spent time with me over the years. Currently the ONLY delays I have and intend on keeping are the LVX and the Dr. Scientist Sunny Day Delay Mkii. The latter because it's nostalgic for me. Anyway maybe more info than you were wanting haha! Thanks for the comment and the watch! Be well!
Great video, thanks. Have you seen the new Flower Pedals Dahlia? It's a stereo analog BB delay with heaps of features and a great small footprint. Would love to hear your take on it if you get a chance
Hands down the LVX. Reason being is it can do so much more than the Meraki, and for what I’d want, the LVX can get close enough to their Meraki sound for me
Hey thanks! Yes this preset (as well with many others) is part of our Preset Pack Vol 1.0 available to our monthly Patreon Collaborators as well as in our shop. www.patreon.com/thePedalCollaborative/shop/155630?

This is the one ive been waiting for. Nice.

Keep them coming
Oh I shall!!!! 😎

Great assessment!! Totally agree with you here :)
And yes, probably need both!
Both sound great, i think the continual cross feed had more to do with the poly structure.
Probably so!
LVX sounds better in all honesty!! I love it!

I can't wait until the prEditor gets released in a couple weeks and you can upload this preset and I can import it
@michaelthornton1114 I am REALLY looking forward to the prEDITOR! Probably more than I’ve ever been excited about software 😂

Oh yes! Flower Pedals is on my radar for sure. Just have to get one :)
@@thepedalcollaborativei have the trem pedal, the sunflower. It's awesome so i reckon the Dahlia will be good too
I have no doubt!!! I want to try that one as well
LVX for the price and 9,546,322 options
I like your maths! 😎
If you had to choose one of these delay pedals, which would it be?
Hands down the LVX. Reason being is it can do so much more than the Meraki, and for what I’d want, the LVX can get close enough to their Meraki sound for me
14:58 MIRAKI
16:30 LVX
Those your favorites?
@@thepedalcollaborative love both, but perhaps pay for LVX
@failogy I wouldn’t argue with that!
Lovely work right here , do you have this patch saved for sharing ?🫠

@swamptank7531 congrats on the new LVX! It takes some learning but it’s so worth it!!
@@thepedalcollaborative Thanks ! You have ever made meraki plus sloer combo on this channel ?
@swamptank7531 I did not unfortunately, and alas, I not longer have either in my collection :/
