I know we are supposed to be listening to the pedals, but every-time you guys put out a video I am like "Holy shit, that is literally the best sounding drum kit of all time" 🤯
I Love the Energy of this vid with the nonsteady camerawork it kinda gives me "dads Not home Kids go crazy" vibes and i Love it, Loved the Show before but this feels fresh and Young and amazing!
Awesome to see you guys in stereo finally. It really is the coolest. Now make some stereo pedals. A JHS voiced dirt pedal in stereo would be super awesome!! sincerely, a keyboardist
I love these two... they are clearly having a lot of fun! Odelay is an amazing album. It came out of left field when it was released - it was so different than anything out there at the time.
Weirdest timing ever- home sick- took the LVX out for the first time. Was blown away and then saw this video- Erie coincidence or everything happens for a reason? Agree with them- LVX has changed my mind/life! Inspiring- my new fav!!!
My wife and I have our favorite vinyls on display on our living room wall, so when you guys bring out something that we have up there I know I'm in good hands following your other Record Time recommendations
You fellas were amazing! The pedal lust is uncontrollable, it's great to know the background of the company, what a small world - Strymon are crazy-good, but now I have 2 dream pedals, the new Strymon, but this LVX has taken the lead. The "Australia tax", shipping and exchange rates make this a long-term investment
The Meris Mercury 7 is by far the best digital reverb algorithms I've ever heard, so I have no doubt that the LVX is at least as stunning. Game changer, indeed.
Damn that Team is like Doctor Doom Kang and an Evil Reed Richards variant...what a pedal It's great hearing Addison drum to Nick slick grooves ands tasty fills over the ambiance....and edit thanks for the headphones tip!!
I'd also encourage everyone to listen on studio monitors, if you've got them. Because this was really a joy to listen to on my Adam A5X's. I am a suck er for pin-ponging stuff, even if it isn't a particularly original thing to do. It just hits the spot and makes you feel enveloped by the sound.
“Ladder filter” is a Moog thing. The filter circuit is a chain of low-pass filters with two symmetrical cascades of four transistors, with a capacitor between each pair of transistors, so it looks kinda like a ladder.
DD-500 is great and has lots of tweaking capability with assigns. I feel the LVX far surpasses it in terms of multi-tap options, ease of access & general width of the stereo image, and the modular architecture. It also has assigns (it calls them modifiers) that are in some respects more sophisticated but it has fewer of them (2 LFO modifiers as opposed to 8 in the Boss). Also slightly prefer the base tone of the digital delay on the LVX vs the Boss’s ‘standard.’ (I own both.)
I know we are supposed to be listening to the pedals, but every-time you guys put out a video I am like "Holy shit, that is literally the best sounding drum kit of all time" 🤯
💪🏼
lol I was scrolling the comments as they talked this whole time but now they've manned the drums and I hear what you are saying.
It's clear that pedals also make the best diffusers... so YET ANOTHER reason to buy 50 more.
I Love the Energy of this vid with the nonsteady camerawork it kinda gives me "dads Not home Kids go crazy" vibes and i Love it, Loved the Show before but this feels fresh and Young and amazing!
That last jam was amazing! The "organy" tone Was RAD. This may be my all time favorite! Seriously, great.job!
Stereo 2023. JOSH CAN'T HOLD US DOWN ANYMORE.
I love this episode! Stoked to see you having so much fun and creating such killer vibes.
Good to have you back guys! Hope you enjoyed your break. Well done Meris on an amazing pedal!
I find the music you ALL create on this channel, WAY more enjoyable than everything that won at the Grammys, or everything on the charts.
but Bonnie Raitt and ABBA are pretty good
@@Paul-dw2cl you got me there. I guess I was caught up in the great music.
@@Paul-dw2cl ABBA is torture music.
local man discovers top 40 is not actually the best music out there🤯
Well, in one épisode you wrote the best U2 compositions since Achtung Baby.
Love You, greetings from french Alps 🖤
God it’s great to have you guys back. Glad you took a break, you deserve it. But you were missed. Great first video back. Cheers!
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Epic, love the Jams , love the sense of humor, you guys rock .
"Atypical" was awesome, guys! Thank you for the fun & music. That Universal Audio Dream looks very cool, too.
Awesome to see you guys in stereo finally. It really is the coolest. Now make some stereo pedals. A JHS voiced dirt pedal in stereo would be super awesome!!
sincerely,
a keyboardist
You guys are getting so comfortable doing this stuff. And your musicianship is going off the charts!
You guys sounds incredible on this! The drums are especially awesome sounding. Love the playing from you both on this one. Thanks for the upload!
I wouldn't know what to do with that pedal, but you guys sound amazing on it. Welcome back to the interweb, the JHS Show!
That 5th place jam was sick! This show is a lot of things... a place for great jams is one of them... they are always top notch. Love you peeps.
It's been to long since I've heard that intro music! So hyped y'all are back!
Thank you!
Yall're having so much dang fun and I will always come back to kick it. I'm super happy youze guyz are back
I’m with you on ‘Odelay’… what a genuine masterpiece. Good to have you back!
Great mixing on the drums. The snare sounds killer.
I keep coming back to this video to listen to 5th place. I wish this was a full song. Holy fuck it’s so good
🖤🖤🖤
I love these two... they are clearly having a lot of fun! Odelay is an amazing album. It came out of left field when it was released - it was so different than anything out there at the time.
First two jams were something special, boys. Reminded me of a movie that hasn’t been made but would make me feel inspired and probably cry.
Pedal sounds absolutely fabulous!
Yay they are back! I was starting to buy things that weren't pedals a few weeks ago, but now I addicted again! Yay!
😂
that 5th place jam was very american football-esc, loved it
Man, watching your videos makes me love music and pedals more and more! Thanks for every second of this !
Nick's preset sounds absolutely crazy I love it
Man, I loved everything about this video! That ratchet and clank jam looked too fun.
Weirdest timing ever- home sick- took the LVX out for the first time. Was blown away and then saw this video- Erie coincidence or everything happens for a reason? Agree with them- LVX has changed my mind/life! Inspiring- my new fav!!!
Synchronicity!
So good to have you back.
Stank sounds awesome!
Man, the Mutemath jam was beautiful. One of my favorite bands and DK is legendary.
Great review guys! Amazing delay & really funny chats !
Watching with headphones… this made my week. Thanks, guys. ❤️
beck is one of the most fun shows ive seen out of hundreds
Oh dude the show came back on my birthday! I hope this year we get more Nick and Addison on guitar
Happy birthday!
My wife and I have our favorite vinyls on display on our living room wall, so when you guys bring out something that we have up there I know I'm in good hands following your other Record Time recommendations
Great as always. The stereo sound was amazing.
Wow!! You guys are awesome and this is now a pedal I HAVE to have!! Thanks for your review, cheers!
So glad you guys are back!
Thanks! Glad to be back :)
This is A+ content and editing. I like the "The Office/Parks and Rec" cinematography.
another great show ...love this channel
How does it stack up with a Timeline?
I love the lvx. And it also works great as a looper for practicing. And has a tuner. And has a noise gate. It’s just overall great
It's really so amazing.
Thank you for coming back, all of you!!! I went to you channel every day!!!💔
This thing sounds siiiiiiick! (Also loved the stereo fx, I won't tell Josh if you don't!)
An amazing sounding pedal and the jams were great 🙂
That Dream 5th preset.....just awesome.
The EQ on these jams is so underrated.
for real - I wish they'd do an episode on their mixing. I wish my drums could sound that good
So true...I think it's Addison...I've seen him at a board.
Thank you!
Seriously. Wondering if a lot is run through a Colour Box? Based on the Colour Box episode, I’d say the drums usually are?
That's on my list, it's what I need.
I think that , a Pulp n Peel and a dedicated modulator/phaser and an Ecorec will do my needs for quite a while.
You fellas were amazing! Freaking awesome! I absolutely love every bit of this.
Addison CUZ WTF! Your drumming skills sick my boi!!!!! That ratchet and clank jam 🔥
It was a long, long January without you guys.
This pedal is the Future. The future is now. Beautiful.
A JHS Pedals video. I always click the like button to get that out of the way and then watch the video to discover why I liked it in the first place.
Ladder Filter is the filter from Moog synths. If you have a low pass Ladder filter it will remove lows when you increase the resonance
Missed you guys. Welcome back.
Big like: The mood, the pedal, the jams and... "that" record time choices!
Glad you guys are back, it was almost like a strange divorce that we reconciled.
lol, thanks!
You guys look like you have so much fun, even the cameraman is all in !
Addison is very tasteful in his playing, I always enjoy listening to him play
But everything you do is always just amazing
Amazing as always JHS!
"Drum off!"
*instant cut*
Actual gold LMAO
And when the world needed them most… they returned. 😊
🌽🌽🌽
I came to the comments and knew this comment would be here.
@@lordhammerwind 🧀🧀🧀
Great jams and a lovely pedal.
welcome back! thanks god its been so dead even on RUclips the last month
okay the jams are all absolute banger
6:15. Pretty darn cool.
The Meris Mercury 7 is by far the best digital reverb algorithms I've ever heard, so I have no doubt that the LVX is at least as stunning. Game changer, indeed.
For the first time I've heard a rhythmic delay in a context I like.
MUTEMATH. One of the best bands ever. True, but also might be the actual best band ever.
Omg that last jam woohoooo!
Simply wonderful!!
Really cool jams!
Damn that Team is like Doctor Doom Kang and an Evil Reed Richards variant...what a pedal
It's great hearing Addison drum to Nick slick grooves ands tasty fills over the ambiance....and edit thanks for the headphones tip!!
Wow, the Clank one really does sound like there's an organ playing along!
Jams were great-the one with the whammy stood out to me, but all 🔥
Mystical invisible bassist brining the invisible 🔥
It's the best pedal ever made.
SOLD! Great improvs

Brownie points for the “Ratchet and Clank” title 🤙
You guys did a great job
Idk how you process those drums but they always sounds so crisp 😩✨
You guys are masters at jamming!
Welcome back guys!
Finally, man when the opening theme song dropped i was smiling ear to ear
I know it isn't always lightness and cupcakes but if this is your JOB, it's pretty damn awesome. Color me jealous.
Thank you! We're so fortunate, and that's not lost on us. Thanks for watching!
I was at the Willie/Beck show at Starlight. It was an unexpected bill, and it was *fantastic*
Tones are nice. Good to hear you move to stereo, too.
(... But it's got top jacks, so it can get in the bin.)
😂
bummer 5 am here...tomorrow.
Welcome back.
The name of this pedal is, in fact, "Light". The "V" in Latin is "U" - LUX "loox" = light.
LVX also can be the number 55
“Ladder filter” is a Moog thing. The filter circuit is a chain of low-pass filters with two symmetrical cascades of four transistors, with a capacitor between each pair of transistors, so it looks kinda like a ladder.
The pedal is sick and all, however the mixing on the drums is outstanding.
Ladder filter means like a Moog style filter
Shoutout to Nick rocking the B’s Music Shop shirt
You had me at "maximum enjoyment"... :-)
Whaooo that sound on the fist gig (5th place) 😱 !
Significantly better than the Boss DD-500?
DD-500 is great and has lots of tweaking capability with assigns. I feel the LVX far surpasses it in terms of multi-tap options, ease of access & general width of the stereo image, and the modular architecture. It also has assigns (it calls them modifiers) that are in some respects more sophisticated but it has fewer of them (2 LFO modifiers as opposed to 8 in the Boss).

I so want Nicks shirt!
