    I'm Dutch and this was three days before my 24th birthday. We all knew his backstory and we were all rooting for him to win. What a great technical skater. An olympic gold winner and rightfully so!

    It was one of the two greatest Olympic memories in my lifetime. One being the 1980 US Olympic hockey team, and the other was Dan Jansen, finally winning that gold medal on his last attempt. I was so happy for him! It still brings a tear to my eye whenever I see it.

    I still remember this as one of the great Olympic moments. I was 12 and I always remember the relief in his wife’s expression when he finally won Olympic gold.

    Outstanding job from the video maker. Sports media create stories to engage viewers. The selection of songs, images, and cinematic techniques has been great.
    Big applause for him/her!!

    Forgetting to mention the mother's rather untasteful interview, after the fall in '94, where she blamed the ice preppers.

    • @BigDaddy-xx1gk
      @BigDaddy-xx1gk 6 лет назад +4

      Yeah, well, she's his mother, and we all say things we regret from time to time. Besides, he wasn't the only one to slip.

      By the way, it isn't "untasteful". Correct English is "dis-tasteful"

    The baby was gnawing on the rail. The possible paint flecks just make me cringe.
