Man, you should keep digging : Down on the beat, Animal flow, What you want, Illest of our time, all his last album is fire. (and a majority of his other songs and tributes are astonishing and unexpected). This guy is a killer on guitar, good pianist, good producer, excellent rapper, excellent singer, rather handsome guy, crazy production capacity. We can all predict a bright future for him.

I think he has an amazingly 'young' face, and he comes across younger than he is. :D I guess like you said, he missed a chunk of life where you do certain stuff, and so he's sort of 10 years behind where most of us were. :D

Just gave you a sub. I want to ride this Ren train with you. I didn't find my career until I was 36, get the degree I needed until I was 42, get my professional license until 45. Age doesn't matter! I had to hit rock bottom and come to terms with "age doesn't matter" to be willing to start over and go for my childhood dream. And I'm so glad I did. I can tell you more if you want to hear it. I'll be praying for wisdom from God for you!
I love the cadence changes in The Hunger too. Plus, his enunciation is so on easily heard even though he goes at treble speed. And best of all Ren does teach over the beats.

Love all of this but my very favorite line is definitely “but bleak was the place where I rose to my feet”. We have all been knocked down in life. But it’s the standing back up again that’s important.
It’s one my absolute favourites of his. Displays his everything 😊also “don’t need no personal trainer I got trainers on my feet” in the U.K. trainers are comfy shoes (that people usually do training or some sports in) so it’s like “I can do it by myself” 😊 And bleak is like “there’s not much hope or it’s a Barron area with not much possibilities around” but in that bleakness he grew up.

Regarding age... I'm 56, I realise that there are many opportunities I will not have because of age, but creating art of any kind is something available to everyone on the planet. All that being in your 30s will do is make you wiser to the pitfalls of producing music and negotiating the obstacles to getting heard. Embrace it :) x
This song is completely bonkers but i can barely string together coherent sentences at an average pace but the most amazing thing is is that once my brain adjusted to how quickly he was speaking, i could understand him perfectly. I love the way this man uses words.
idk if you've ever used those speed reader apps where it flashes individual words up to 350 wpm, but after a second its just easier to read...Ren's kinda like that! lol
It would be awesome if Ren got signed to Shady records. I think he wants to stay independent to be able to do what his creative mind comes up with. I think with Shady he will have that freedom. This is totally an original Ren rap track, which has a little more of a commercial sound to it, whereas "Illest of Our Time" is more of an experimental beat by Ren & not traditional in any sense of the word. 😜✌

Ren usually provides the lyrics in a pinned comment. Please don't rely on other people's lyric videos because, like in this case, they are often WRONG. He doesn't say "anti-capitalist pissed off rebel in society collapsing" but "anti-capitalist, pissed, I revel...in society collapsing" the lyric video makes the actual lyrics not make sense.

'Losing it' ... Ren has some fun over an EDM beat. So many flow changes and a lot of humour.
'What you want' ... old style Beastie Boys feel - it's bouncy for days : ) This track will keep you smiling all week.
'Halftime (Nas Retake)' ... Ren pays tribute and shows his respect. Released on 'Pi day' so some unusual 'Pie' references ; )

Regarding age... I'm 56, I realise that there are many opportunities I will not have because of age, but creating art of any kind is something available to everyone on the planet. This song is completely bonkers but i can barely string together coherent sentences at an average pace but the most amazing thing is is that once my brain adjusted to how quickly he was speaking, i could understand him perfectly.

Ren's song "Wicked Way's" will impress you & it's not a retake or cover of Eminem's Wicked Ways. This is totally an original Ren rap track, which has a little more of a commercial sound to it, whereas "Illest of Our Time" is more of an experimental beat by Ren & not traditional in any sense of the word. 😜✌

Ren usually provides the lyrics in a pinned comment. Please don't rely on other people's lyric videos because, like in this case, they are often WRONG. He doesn't say "anti-capitalist pissed off rebel in society collapsing" but "anti-capitalist, pissed, I revel...in society collapsing" the lyric video makes the actual lyrics not make sense.

When i finally did, i had to double check both songs' release dates cuz between the many flow switchups, the general theme of monsters (Frankenstein/Godzilla) and especially the part where Em goes into a whisper, it really had me questioning whether Em had taken inspiration from Ren rather than the other way around.
I think skill inspires skill, you hear something that makes you go 'oh damn! I can out do that!' and on and on it builds!

anything I pick I know its gonna be good! and I think he is, but you have to bring light to something in order to begin fixing it, and while this may be harsh, if its pushed into the dark, nothing happens from it except sadness...Ren brought it out into the light and made it art, made you really think about it. That begins the healing.
