The Hunger doesn't have a theme or primary subject. It is composed of a bunch of disjointed segments like Frankenstein.
The Hunger is the Frankenstein Monster that Ren made to flex all of the skills he will use to conquer the music scene. It's his golden ticket.

Checked it out an imo, the music video was cool really awesome but the song it self. Just failed for me. Again just imo. Great art style but not the music itself

I finally, after going through all the back catalogue I could find for Ren, things other people have recorded and uploaded of him performing as well as everything he’s put out, found 1 track from the Big Push where I thought “this is good”.
I mean- it’s good - for anyone else, any other band, that would be praise, but I had to stop and listen again to be sure and yep, I think it’s only “good”. How ridiculous is that? It’s like a 99.9% hit rate and the 0.1% is still better than 99.9% of the things out there by anyone else! :)

This is truly a bid middle finger to anyone thinking he couldn't do whatever flow he wanted. We know he can story tell, rap rap, play guitar and this was saying I can do a one take with a dozen cadences
As he says, he “created a monster” with putting all the bits together with this track, like Frankenstein put together the monster from assembled parts and breathed life into it, that’s what Ren was showing off in the song - and he tells us he’s doing it. Self aware and genius.
Ren makes everything! The beats, the songs, the freaking beat boxing for this track!
How to Be ME has to be another song. It's for his friend that commented suicide, Ren and Chinchilla preforms the song LIVE on the same Bridge he jumped from... the interview with Knox Hill explains everything. Legit Ren was running to the bridge and said he was barely 2 mins too late. RIP JOE
Actually, it’s not - it was recorded on the balcony of a friend’s flat, nowhere near the bridge.
i feel like this song was stricly to flex his flows, "Losing it" is a fun one rapping on an EDM beat, and "Power" is a great one too

So who’s going to tell Crypt that Ren also produces, mixes, directs the videography, drums, plays piano, also does rock, reggae, and your original metal with a cover of Black Sabbath…
Seriously - in another era, Ren would have been a Shakespeare or Beethoven, or Michael Angelo - and all this skill/genius despite having lost nearly 10 years of his potential due to illness and all the consequent ‘treatments’.

Yea, I want to see ren first realize how much good metal there is off the beaten path, dive into a few rabbitholes, THEN make some metal tracks. I kinda want to hear him do some jazz/lounge without the reggae. I love reggae, I just want to see his jazz chops.

Leonard Cohen wrote and originally performed Hallelujah, yessir! Took him a tortured 4-5 years. Hell of a story. There's an awesome episode of Revisionist History about it called "Hallelujah." ...also generally exploring genius and creativity, the varying approaches of Elvis Costello, Bob Dylan vs. Leonard Cohen, Picasso vs. Cezanne. Highly recommend!

I think there's definitely a place for that "fast for fast's sake" rap. It is an impressive skill, but its made more impressive when you can write those fast raps with bars that make sense.

The background at the start of this vid reminds me of the Borderlands game backdrops haha, and certain sounds in the latter half remind me of some of the BGM in the games too.
