I don't know who's in love w/the Bee Gees music more, The Baby Boomers OR..... "YOU"?! If I had to guess, then I'd say it's a COMPLETE DRAW, for your true appreciation for them, is no doubt..... EXACTLY the same as us old school folks. (smiles)
I don't think that the Bee Gees music has any boundaries, as in age, and affects everyone who hears it in generally the same way. I can understand his reaction. I feel the same when I hear their songs. There aren't many groups that have that ability.
@@kentclark6420 You damn sure got that right!!! I like watching Jay's reaction, cuz by it being his 1st time hearing each one of their songs, puts amazement on his face. 😊
jenbill1602 it’s crazy though but music is very powerful, I wonder how many have actually committed suicide by listening to a certain song. I guess we’ll never know.
Maurice has a great voice too. Often overlooked but many (and his brothers too) have praised him for his harmonies on their songs as well as his musical abilities with multiple instruments . Check out 'Man in the middle" Thanks for the reviews!
@Martin Dale So true. Barry points out that Mourice was a great harmonist, and he is the one who made perfection of their three part harmonies. Live version 2001 of "Man in the middle" is best for me, from live by request 2001 concert, when they promoted "This is where I came in".
Fanny we will be the next here, JayveeTV will totally freakin out 😱, because Fanny be Tender is an outstanding falsetto masterpiece and one of the two forbidden and impossible songs in music history to cover together with Whitneys Cover from Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You - the ultimative challenge 🍾
@@MischaGER He will lose his mind. You know Jayvee loves the falsetto. Personaly I could never quite wrap my head around that one. Since they never did it live I couldn't tell who was singing which parts. It sounds like Barry singing all the parts. I'm not convinced it wasn't since they never did it live. 🤷♀️ They all had a falsetto voice and low voices as well. It's hard to know.
It's funny because back in the day when the Bee Gees were big , I used to say the same thing. They always put me in a good mood and put a smile on my face! Uplifting music even tho the lyrics might be sad
The Bee Gee’s got their start cuz they were in a talent competition and on the way there they broke the record they were using and had to sing live themselves ( not to someone else’s record) and the rest was history. Yes Robins voice was def special!
Diana Gero oh ok thanks... it was a long time ago I heard that and I got it mixed up a little but thanks for straightening it out for me so I can tell the right story lol
Great choice. Robin actually took the lead a lot in the early years. What a great tenor voice :). Barry and Robin often harmonized together. Have a great day.
Makes my soul sing to hear you youngers enjoying this magical band, that my generation has loved most of our lifetime. Their song "immortality" seems to be fitting, as you and the others of your generation keep them alive by enjoying their musical contributions, thank you!
When I'm not in a good mood, the day's been rough, I put on the Bee Gees. They do change your attitudes, their music is so uplifting. Never vulgar or foul language always love. They're just a positive influence. They put a smile on your face.
I have spent many hours listening to these guys, trying to figure out what the magic is. The harmonies are fantastic, the writing is storytelling at its best..but there is something else. One evening my wife walked into the house and I was blasting their music, I turned it down, and she waved me off, and said, "no...turn it back up...I don't think there has ever been a group where the voices sound so perfectly matched". She knows what harmony is, but she nailed it. The voices match. They compliment each other in a way that is very rare, I think the Beach Boys would be the only group I can think of who have that "match". It goes way beyond harmony.
Yes, Robin had an very strong chest voice & incredibly unique, & Barry was the master of falsetto, & all three were harmonies heard from Heaven! One of my favorites by Robin is, I started a joke, hope you check it out :)
lol, That "Note" by Robin?? It was BARRY! lol! Barry was c21cand the twins were 19. Robin came to the studio one morning and said, "I have a great idea for a song! It's about this guy on DEATH ROW trying tov get a message to his girlgriend before they kill him. It' a LOVE SONG!" LMAO! The Bee Gees were very very hysterical as well! Especially Robin, who was so quick qitted AND intelligent, that his jokes just killed you. HEY! When are you going to check out Brother Moe?? Maurice had a GREAT voice too, but because he was a professional harmonizes ,he is overlooked in the spotlight! 2 REALLY good Songs that he wrote and sang lead in among others are, "Closer then Close" and "Man in the Middle"
Turd Ferguson worse than yesterday. My ex neighbor passed away from the virus 5 days ago & he just turned 23. The virus is very high count here& sadly the first thing when you feel bad is mind games if you’ve been exposed to the virus 🦠 thanks for asking
me Yeah I was thinking about that exact thing when I typed that. It’s widely known that the Jacksons had amazing, incredible natural talent, but they were also abused, physically and emotionally. There is no evidence of that happening to the Gibb boys.
I know that when you started delving into more songs where Robin either shared the lead with Barry or was the primary lead you would be hooked on his wonderful and unique voice. What a fantastic reaction to this classic hit of theirs. I'll be looking forward to future reactions to more of Robin's songs, older classics as well as songs from the 1980's and 1990's into the new millennium. So many to choose from as you well know by all our crazy requests. We must be patient because we know that each reaction from you in the future is worth waiting for!

This song is a true story about a soldier who was dying in war, and he wanted to get a message to his woman. And the group took his story and put this song together. ❤
Thank you so very much, this is and always has been my favorite Bee Gees song . It showcases all 3 of their voices and Robin is my favorite of the brothers. Yes most everyone likes Barry the best but not me . Once again thank you 🙌👍❤

YES!! You have officially touched upon the BEST of the Bee Gees. "One more hour and my life will be through" I can hardly ever listen to this song without shedding a tear. Another great Bee Gees Song is New York Mining Disaster, also confusingly known as Mr Jones to some.
I don't blame you for listening to this song again and thank you for playing this older video as I hadn't seen it fro so many years. SEARCH 'Young Bee Gees'.....& you'll find a black & white clip from their appearance as kids, on an old BBC television show in the early 1960s. Barry looked to be around 15 with little brothers Robin & Maurice. They do two numbers....with Robin really hamming it up in the 2nd song.

Robin Gibb really had a fantastic voice. Really strong and distinctive.
He don't get recognized for the power his voice is capable of.
I love the way you smile when you are listening to the Bee Gees you look so happy
Yes J looks very happy I agree he really feels the music. I love watching J.
I agree...
Robin has such a pure, heartfelt & tender voice...he really makes you feel his words
His voice is amazing on "Wedding Day" and "Embrace"
Ethereal is the word I like to use to describe his voice.
I agree 👍💯👍💯💯💯💯
He was amazing and didn't have the lead enough.
Wish him and Karen Carpenter had done a duet at some point.

Turd Ferguson yes, this is good stuff & Barry is 👀good too!
missgmoma IKR? Hubba hubba!!
As a female, I was always jealous of Barry's hair lol
Turd Ferguson right & plus he could sing 🎤
K Salter IKR? He had the most beautiful hair in the biz!! 👍💖
Rare (?) footage of Robin playing a guitar. Love this song!
Robin's voice is other worldly.
He kind of had a nose-plugged sound. Unique.
