I love the Bee Gees, and this particular video is gut-wrenching. Maurice is gone, Robin is gone, the World Trade Center is gone. A song about loss, and I see a lot of loss here. But then it's absolutely beautiful. The voices are amazing.

Andy lived in a house on the same grounds as Robin's for the last year of his life while he was recording a new album in London. Thanks, Jovaughn, for reacting to one of the most wonderful songs ever recorded. Yes, Robin owns this song. We promised you wouldn't be disappointed and, by your reaction, we were right! We love you and can't wait for your next Bee Gees reaction. I'm still asking for "I Can't See Nobody" (1974 Melbourne concert) but I'll be patient because your reactions are well worth the wait!
I love "I Can't See Nobody", and you're right that the '74 Melbourne live version is great. The whole concert was epic - it's too bad that the audio and video quality are so bad. That live version of "To Love Somebody" is, I think, the best.
sierraseven and Diana Gero, I wholeheartedly agree with both of you! I fall asleep with this concert each and every night! Mind you, I don't hear much of it because our precious guys instantly relax me from all the stresses of the day and the times we're going through right now. They've helped me to get through some pretty rough times since hurricane Katrina in 2005. Life just wouldn't be worth it without them playing such an integral part each and every day. They wrote "Wish you were here " for Andy and they only tried to perform it live once and could not make it through the song without breaking down so they never tried to do it live again.
We are very lucky to have had The Bee Gees. Robin was in a very bad train crash in his late teens, he helped with the injured. Many people were killed. Then there’s Barry who pulled a boiling teakettle on himself as a toddler. He spent a long time in the hospital. His chest was burned the worst. He has significant burn scars there. Then of course, there’s Andy. While he wasn’t a Bee Gee, his death certainly effected them all. I think Maurice escaped tragedy while young, but he was the first one in the group to pass on.
I cannot listen to this without crying... I think about Robin Gibb... When he died I could not cry.. When this song comes on.. the river flows... I miss him more then I could ever say... React to the song Bodyguard... Robin is hot and he is on fire in voice and look...

@@maelilmc4079 Thank you for pointing out; I was about to say the exact same thing. More unique, more complete and more perfect are things that bother me a great deal worse than they ought.
So glad to see you doing some of their newer stuff. If you liked this song you REALLY need to listen to "You Win Again" It is my understanding that they wrote "Wish You Were Here" for Andy. And, you have yet to do one with Maurice singing lead! He wrote and sang lead on :Man in the Middle" , "Closer than Close" , and "House of Shame"
Two of Moe's songs that I really like is the bridge saying with his son and daughter and the second one is Railroad. Moe had an excellent voice it just wasn't always showcased. He was the strength of the harmony. Barry called him the best harmonist.
Katie-did Ellis Definitely. I love the fact that Barry said that. The Gibb boys were so generous with each other. They didn’t seem to compete for the limelight. I love that honesty. 👍👍💖💖💖
Robin's passionate voice and angelic glow will live on forever!!! These beloved and super talented brothers made the world a better place back then, gratefully now, and for all time. Thanks for featuring this song... your reaction was amazing,,,
One of the most underrated groups of all time, they given so much to the music industry that goes unrealised, fantastic vocals, unreal harmonies and clever writing and production. So many other artists have made good off the back of their song writing abilities.
There will be people listening to their music for decades to come. It is so dang sad that there will be no more new music from these brothers. I feel so sorry for Barry. He is the last of the Brothers Gibb, and in interviews you can tell it weighs on him. The background for this song is such an incredible piece of the video, the Twin Towers there invoke a very real feel for the song, especially when one considers the lyrics.
In internet you can find many people doing reactions to several groups that they think this groups can help them yo reach more likes and suscriptors. I dont like these people because most of reactions are fake, this reactions are chasing to win the acceptance of the fans of these groups in order to reach more likes...EXCEPT YOU. you are one of the fews I can see the reactions are honestly and real, ( the wet on your eyes for instance when you hear emocional songs and other no verbal languaje). Your'e not a fake. You are genuise, you are real, and obviously you are a great person, so emotive and with good feelings, congratulations . (You deserve the suscriptors and likes you have)
Regarding the story behind this song; I heard on an interview with Barry, I believe, that the song WAS about Andy, but it was about his failed relationship with an actress named Victoria Principal. They were very much in love, but Andy was so caught up in his drug addiction, he was not able to kick it, even for her. She couldn't go on with it, for obvious reasons, and they split. The song is about the pain he felt in not being able to win her back. It IS one of their most beautiful songs. I know you have a jillion requests for their music, but the one called "Massachusetts" is an older song where Robin has the lead for the entire song. It's beautiful, also. WONDERFUL reaction.
The only song that they dedicated to Andy was called wish u was here. After his passing. Barry Dedicated a song after Robbin passing called the end of the rainbow.
There is no vocalist on earth that can turn your heart in knots the way Robin's voice does. It's always been hauntingly beautiful.
I love the Bee Gees, and this particular video is gut-wrenching. Maurice is gone, Robin is gone, the World Trade Center is gone. A song about loss, and I see a lot of loss here. But then it's absolutely beautiful. The voices are amazing.
Robin's voice always evoked emotion. That's why their early songs were so successful. Plus they're awesome song writers.
@@ruth4thetruth334 Only a handful of their early songs were successful. The real success began when Barry became their main frontman.

@@maelilmc4079 Thank you for pointing out; I was about to say the exact same thing. More unique, more complete and more perfect are things that bother me a great deal worse than they ought.
Nope
@@beeharbour no there will never be another like Robin Gibb!!💖
Top 5 Bee Gees Song for sure!
His voiice sounds great on Closer than Close, and it's such a sultry song as well.
Maurice also sang lead on Wildflower, great song! Wish Maurice had done more lead, his voice is great!
@@debbienewton909 totally agree
I always play this video over Christmas. It's so emotional,.It's one of my favourite Bee Gees tracks.I loved your reaction to it.
Brings tears!!!!!!
Loved to hear Robin's voice
Agree with all you said. The twin towers and the twins .... both now memories
No more from the brothers but Barry rolls on, his last album is well worth a listen.
(You deserve the suscriptors and likes you have)
Artie Gloucester I couldn’t agree more. JV is the REAL DEAL. He has a genuine passion for music, and he is a lovely young man. 💖💖👍☮️
I remember that now that you mentioned it.
@@BertSmithLondon he still has a lot to go through. He's just getting started.
Damn I never thought of that being the inspiration for the lyrics. Makes sense and will add a new dimension for me next time I listen.
@@joannemarsh4557 ignore the troll and his poor taste
@@BertSmithLondon RUclips means nothing as opposed to sales. That's where the real shit matters.
Love love love Robin's voice, you should try saved by the bell a song robin recorded after he left the group really beautiful song
The only song that they dedicated to Andy was called wish u was here. After his passing. Barry Dedicated a song after Robbin passing called the end of the rainbow.
That’s exactly what I thought.
Barry actually sang "The End Of The Rainbow" to Robin in the hospital while he was in a coma before he passed.
"Wish you were here" from 1989's One album was written for Andy but "Don't throw it all away" is a dedication to Andy when they do live shows
Actually, the whole album that song came from was dedicated to Andy, with Wish You Were Here as the obviousl love and miss you letter to him.
karine milord you know your bee gees! That’s right.
Another great song and reaction! Their talent, simply incredible 😍
Soooooo good. 😢👍💖
This is lovely one of my fave the song is perfect 👌👌👌
I do believe they are the longest band to be together in history I like it all Such harmony together wow
