Let the two Koreas unite, just like the two Germanies did. "North and South Korea unite. North and South Korea unite. North and South Korea unite." Makes banners, organize demonstrations, make videos explaining how the region would be better-off with the two Koreas united. Let public sentiment toward Korean unification grow. Let the movement grow. And let the prosperity of the two Koreas grow - through unification.
@@just_a_kid1 I can 95% agree to you. And the other 5% i don't agree on since i know that it's for South Korea to take power but i don't think it will solve the problem of "making the N.K people to unite with the S.K" because the people of North Korea are influenced by their leader and it's hard to make them convince and even if war was over between (if it ever happens......i hope not) them some from the North Korea are going to try to have Civil War because some of them might be patriotic and that would be a problem. i wouldn't say it's impossible but it's possible if you can convince the people of N.K.
Most South Koreans no longer want reunification. They want peace on the peninsula but not to reunify. Think about it, if they unify as one who is going to foot the bill to fix all of North Korea's problems like lack of infrastructure, impoverished population many of which are in poor health, reeducation, etc? Both Koreas have been separated for so long that young South Koreans no longer feel a connection to the north. Even their language has diverged. I'm not sure we'll see a unified Korea but hopefully, we'll at least see them free and at peace.
Unification would mean sadling South Korea with massive debt, a wealth of demographic issues and a lack of skilled employees. There is a chance though, given the coming famine, that SK realises the potential for fertile land and agriculture in the North. Personally I think it's far more likely China will turn NK into a vassal state producing food for its population Plus, it'd probably send South Korea bankrupt. That's not to say it shouldn't happen, but it would likely cause as many problems as it solves (assuming Kim remains sensible in his diplomacy, I worry about his sister)
That last statement is spot on. Any negotiations between the US and DPRK will be meaningless without China at the table. The Korean War armistice was signed between the US, DPRK and China. South Korea is not part of the signatory. For hostilities to officially end, all 3 must come together to ratify a peace treaty, with South Korea involvement as well. China is the key player here. Their geopolitical interest lies in having North Korea as a buffer state between it and South Korea, and to ensure that the DPRK remains a constant thorn against their rivals in the region. Yet, at the same time, they also want North Korea to not be too problematic to the extent that it causes problems on their end as well. It's a delicate balancing act.
China would never allow North Korea to reunite with South Korea. If an uprising happened, China would send in troops to help put it down. China would never allow the US that close to their border. China and the US are very much scared of each other. A United Korea, means a much heavier US military presence.

Would be great to see South and North Korea united and in peace.
I would to but it would be best if south korea took power
@@just_a_kid1 I can 95% agree to you. And the other 5% i don't agree on since i know that it's for South Korea to take power but i don't think it will solve the problem of "making the N.K people to unite with the S.K" because the people of North Korea are influenced by their leader and it's hard to make them convince and even if war was over between (if it ever happens......i hope not) them some from the North Korea are going to try to have Civil War because some of them might be patriotic and that would be a problem. i wouldn't say it's impossible but it's possible if you can convince the people of N.K.
It will happen before 2050. I have a strong hunch
Personally I think it's far more likely China will turn NK into a vassal state producing food for its population
Plus, it'd probably send South Korea bankrupt. That's not to say it shouldn't happen, but it would likely cause as many problems as it solves (assuming Kim remains sensible in his diplomacy, I worry about his sister)
RIP Madeleine Albright! GREAT TO SEE HER SIGNIFICANTLY IN THIS SHOW
That last statement is spot on.
H9
china has been waging war on the u,s, for quit sometime now , underhanded , but brilliant :/
China would never allow North Korea to reunite with South Korea. If an uprising happened, China would send in troops to help put it down. China would never allow the US that close to their border. China and the US are very much scared of each other. A United Korea, means a much heavier US military presence.
How they managed to twist this documentary into a Trump administration analysis is beyond me lmfao.
? Its a documentary about the diplomatic relation between the DPRK and the rest of the world which will inevitably go into the most recent development. Obviously. The fact this surprises you is actually more telling.
@DC Not sure what CNN has to do with anything since the documentary is Nat Geo. You seem to have some weird reflexes. Probably some kind of derangement syndrom :^)
@DC What tipped you off that I am in fact a communist sympathizer and also an unquestioning CNN viewer?
