  • Missing being out on the motorcycle during this second lockdown?
Fear not! We're back with another video segment to help lift those quarantine blues.
In this feature, Sammy fires up 3 bikes that are straight off the workshop benches - a 1975 Triumph T160 Trident, a 1957 Triumph 200 Twin Prototype and a 1967 Yamaha YR1.
Never one to miss an opportunity to impart some British motorcycling history, Sam also gives us a lesson on the various notable Triumph Motorcycles displayed in the museum.
Sit back, make a cuppa and enjoy!

    Those Triump's are Beautiful Bikes.
That Fellow does a Really Good Museum Tour.
My Neighbor was selling His 550/ 4 Honda like the green one shown in this video When I was in High School.
    I wanted it so Badly!
But it's a Good thing I didn't get it. I Probably wouldn't be here today.
    Great Video!
    Best Wishes! From Montana! M.H

I remember back in the 90's, on a Sunday, they used to get the toys out and ride around the courtyard. This one Sunday they bought out a MV, wow Agostini was a guest and we got to see the man ride it. Great to see so many machines alive and not dusty shelf ornament.

I choked on my tea with his description of the Triumph sprung hub as an "abortion".
Gold Sammy, couldn't have put it better myself.

As a boy, I worked for W White Triumph dealers in Auckland, where old Bill had his fabled Velocette 500 stored. I was happy with my Triumphs until we took on a Yamaha dealership as well, and I found the YDS3 250 could eat my 64 Thunderbird for breakfast. At one stage I was the proud owner of a Triumph 500 5TR, I think it was. An all alloy motor made for the 6 days trials reputedly. Pissed oil from everywhere. These days I would have kept it for a loving resto, but as kids we just wanted to go fast and it soon made way for something quicker.

I've got a T160 in bits in the spare bedroom. I'm enthused to rebuild it now, having seen this video. Mines the same colour, but I have black caps instead of the ray guns. Gorjus!

My neighbour made several double overhead cam Triumphs long and short stroke so that is not the only one, I do not know what happened to them though after he died if I remember correctly his name was Westall.

Triumph badged the TRW here in Germany 2 stroke in the fifties, I think 125 upto 350 twins and singles, the Bandit was the answer to the Honda invasion, how did you compare to the 750 cc 4 from the late 60's, friend had the blue one fantastic bike. Great vid thanks.
