The way Sammy Miller swings his leg over bikes at 91 😯😯😯 !!
What a joy to listen in on Sammy and Paul. A lifetime apart and yet both on the same page. Magical.
SM, I wouldn`t arm wrestle him even now...
Hey, two grey Fergies!!! Best engineering ever!👍👍👍👌
No one young and old can shine light to what he has done on them ma honestly in the day, not like them toy ones today atb live long and happy stay safe
A friend of mine owned WGC103H Cheney Triumph ridden (I think) by Malcolm Rathmel in the ISDT. He very generously lent it to me to ride in the MCC Exeter Trial one January. It was very icy as I recall. In around 1964/5 I had a short ride on a works Greeves ISDT bike (perhaps even the one here) and it was both very noisy and very fast.
Wot s fukn legend of a man, definitely doesn't have dementia, but sounds like his false teeth becoming detached alot,he must have enterd more race's than anyone, after wiping everything out at trials, and designing loads of trials bikes,& conversions he designed, still available kit's for loads of bikes,no one like him, milly unbelievably mental genius too xx
From 16:18: Poor ethics, 'proving superiority'?? With those bikes it wasn't really necessary.
Good to see 'Sir' Alan and Miller, erudite as ever.
Sammy what knowledge & yours collection is amazing... from the Causeway coast in Northern Ireland you are a legend...you need to visit for our
87 🎉🎉🎉 My goodness.. Riding motorcycle will stop u aging... I am sure... ❤ loved. It
Incredible collection, I can't believe how rare some of those bikes are, i.e Moto Guzzi 8cyl 500 for one. If Jay Leno knows of this museum he will die of envy. Where is it located? I definitely must visit. And such a lovely guy! I could listen all day.
You are The Man!
Why does Sammy always refer to himself in the 3rd person? I meet him first in 1966 at the Welsh 3 day when he rode , I think a Tiger cub! Then again in 76 when he was 250 honda mounted, I was one number behind him so he was always at the checks just before me, I remember the first thing he did at the check was take his helmet off and comb his hair! There was no need to clean any mud off te bike there wasn't any! He was always immaculate.
I thought it was Prince Philip.
legend doesn`t cover it
Thanks for that,Merry Christrmas to you all too!
My first bike was a 1971 FS1 in south africa. None of those brit pedals 😉 Had a high pipe and scrambler handlebars. Went like the clappers (for a 50). Nice to see one making into the incredible museum.
Superb! On my bucket list is a visit but the stories of the man himself...wonderful.
That NSU car engine was developed from the NSU motorcycle engine, from the NSU Max, so it is full circle. The NSU Prince 3 wheeler got a NSU Max single cylinder engine and the later 4 wheeler got a double NSU Max two cylinder engine. That engine was further developed into the four cylinder 1000 debuting in the Prince 1000 and later came the 1000 TT. and TTS, the 1200 TT and 1200 TT-e with fuel injection. The Münch used the 1000 TT, TTS, !200 TT and 1200 TT-e in different models. The two cylinder 500 cc engine had been used very successfully by NSU in motorcycle racing. As the four cylinder 1000 cc was never sold by NSU in a motorcycle, like the 1 and 2 cylinder versions, one can call it a car engine.
How can she be so foolish. Can’t she hear the engine.
Wow what hasnt sammy ridden ?
True enthusiasts all of these people , brought together for the love of bikes and engineering. Great episode.
The sound of the 7R Brought an instant smile, thank you Sammy! Great day in paradise
Sorry, but that was boring!

Not only legendary mnotorcycles, but Sammy Miller himself is a man with legendary motorcycle knowledge and a fine gentleman. Thanks sir, for all your work and sharing your knowledge with us.
Millar a legend forever.
Going to enjoy this episode!
New Imperial were bought out by Triumph and everything was moved to Coventry just in time for the Second World War and the Blitz on Coventry which destroyed all the records and tools for both Triumph an New Imperial.
Sammy is a total legend!
What a star!
Gloves and helmets. Always. Because oterwise, my taxes pay for some idiot's A&E bills and skin grafts.
My goodness, I wish I had done the things Sammy has done! I've restored a BMW R1100RS (almost) and although I don't ride anymore, I just can't let it go. See you all at Poole harbour in the weeks ahead.
This museum is a fantastic place to be. I was there a month ago and spend some time there.
Amazing rider and amazing Trial Bike. Love it.
A Master on the master
Such a treasure trove. I'm intending to ride down and feast on all your wonderful eye candy this September Mr. Miller. Two of my favourite topics combined: Motorcycles & history.
